2018 Move It Monday Challenge

Curves workout + 15 extra minutes of calisthenics. Plus a bunch of long and short walks. Total 97 minutes.4

I finished last week with a total of 290 exercise minutes for the week !
Today for Move it Monday I moved for 85 minutes: 4 Leslie miles which included 6 HIIT intervals (I did those using the rebounder). I also took a walk outside this afternoon with my DH for 25 minutes.
I do like the motivation of having Move it Mondays, as well as the availability of a mental or physical reset (if needed).
@77tes, that is awesome that you have a Curves available to you. I used to belong to Curves for several years before the one I went to unexpectedly closed down, and then another one that was farther away also did the same shortly after I moved my membership there. After that happened I started to research exercise options, and that is when I discovered Walk at Home DVDs as well MFP.
@themedalist, your carrot cake baked oatmeal certainly does look unbelievably delicious! Yummy

I hear that!!!!2 -
I finally tried a dance workout (Body Groove) that I purchased but never tried. I cannot dance AT ALL...like no rhythm or balance....but it was a blast! I really liked it. 39 minutes of cardio and sweat, but I can honestly say it is the first exercise program I've ever really enjoyed. I sure hope it's considered good activity, because I think this is something I could stick with. I have no idea how to log it under cardio though. I don't know what kind of dance to even compare it to....
Hope you all had a fantastic Monday!4 -
30 minutes on the Elliptical and 20 minutes doing Arms and Abs on the weight machines. The elliptical made me break out into a great sweat! It felt wonderful! Lol.3

After being really sick for 2 weeks I managed to get out for a 30 min. walk today. Then when I was sitting for lunch I basically fell asleep. So I got up and went for a nap. Looks like I'm not fully well but it felt great to be outside moving.2
-
Great Moving Monday. I started with my march around the backyard, then met my sister for a Curves workout, then I took a 40 minute hike in an open space by work, then I added several shorter walks. 135 active minutes today.2

@bcTRAI, hopefully there was sunshine when you walked outside. That always makes me feel better.
But I’m sorry to hear you are still sick. You really have taken a hit the last few weeks! Feel better soon!1 -
@themedalist thank-you, yes, it was gorgeous and sunny, though cold. I've been slowly getting more done each day. This was the first day I've been able to do any type of exercise. I'm very thankful I didn't end up with pneumonia this time around so I'll just continue to take it slow.3

@Zulu87 sorry to hear about your headache. Do you suffer from headaches a lot? I am taking my daughter today to have her iron levels checked. She recently donated blood and was told her iron was low. Just sharing so that you can maybe rule it out. Mine are mostly caused by my pre diabetes or stress.0

Thanks for the info It's something worth looking into. I usually get them around my period and when I have been stressed and grinding my teeth at night. Feeling better today2 -
Did a half an hour on the Hill setting on the treadmill at the gym. Worked up a nice sweat. I think I might go later for some weight training. I just couldn't bring myself to do it this morning. Lol3
-
I missed today because of things going on at home, but I'll be up early tomorrow for Masters Swim group.3

I did my Monday Curves workout with my sister and I added 15 minutes of soft jogging - that was enough for my knees. I also took a couple short walks. I got a total of 101 active minutes.2
