@ Dave - I guess I should have updated yesterday since it was a holiday, but being retired sometimes it doesn't register that other people might want to enjoy a 3 day weekend. Sorry!
I went for a 3 mile "run" yesterday but something was funny in my leg and I didn't want to aggravate it so there was a lot of walking involved. Today I went for a 3 mile walk (because it was hot, not because my leg was still acting up). As I walked along a stretch of beach I saw an elderly women having trouble getting out of her beach chair so I offered her my hand. I quickly learned that she was determined to walk across the sand to find her daughter who was in the water, only she was none too steady. So I ended up walking with her the 50 feet or so to find her daughter who was swimming and had missed the whole episode. Her daughter was sure surprised to see her mom at the water's edge and glad I had made sure she didn't fall! They were both very nice and when I explained I have a 90 year old mother, the daughter and I exchanged knowing looks.
Anyway, with the last two days of moving I'm at 75/75 and that makes GOAL! On to the bonus miles.1 -

@DJMICHEALS - Yes, it was a mess! My sweetie had the day off yesterday and didn't go anywhere and when I went to scrape ice & snow off her car windows this morning, it was really thick! Had to start and warm up the car for a good 15 minutes first and then took a stick of dynamite to it.... Almost...
Got 2.0 bonus miles in on the treadmill this morning with a brisk-as-I-could-stand-it walk. Looking forward to an "easy" day of lifting tomorrow after the two fairly strenuous cardio days.

My kids just kicked our JRFH event over $30,000.00. I cannot believe it....yikes! It was in the 70's here today and my kids complained that it was too hot outside. What a bunch of wimpy kids.
I had my retirement exit meeting tonight. Makes things real now.

@CLEPANT - $30K is phenomenal!!! Congratulations!!! Yeah, I have a Facebook friend that lives in Tennessee that was complaining yesterday that they had to turn the A/C on already! Boohoo! It was 2*F when I woke up this morning in St. Paul!

Adding 1.2 miles, part of that was a lap around the track while doing lunges. It's part of a weekly fitness challenge I'm doing at the gym. A new thing each week, for time. There are only three of us signed up and one of them seems to have dropped out.
@clepant great job with the $ and even better news with the retirement meeting. I'm jealous but very happy for you.
