Not sure how I managed 1.25 miles today around work craziness, but I guess taking a walk instead of taking my frustration out on my coworkers must have helped.

@dave, yes the snow is not the norm here at this time. It's the fallout from the nor'easters hitting the north. One of those times I don't miss NY.
And on that chilly note, this morning it was 33 degrees when I did my 5K. I double layered everything which made undressing it's own cardio activity. I don't have my time yet, but my PF didn't get in the way, I ran the whole thing (NC is full of hills) and I didn't let seeing the people I know pull ahead get to me, causing me speed up then having to walk. A definite win today and I'm really happy. And the medal is cute. This is the first year they had one and it was a surprise in my oxygen deprived state when the girl handed it to me.

And from South Africa, sussexbythesea passes the goal line. We have several people so close! Some only a quarter mile away LOL.
I forgot to congratulate Kar328 on her (chilly) 5k yesterday. You go, girl!
@chris - I don't think I've ever been to Oakley. I've been to Stockton. I've been to Livermore. I've been to Walnut Creek. But not Oakley. Go figure.
I'm leaving California tomorrow. I've had a good visit with mom and gotten a lot of things done. Now off to bed. I have an early flight.1 -

Like Janet said...lots of folks are extremely close to GOAL! I only have 1 mile left and expect to get that done (and then some!) tomorrow morning!!
@KAR328 - That's wonderful to hear about your 5K! I'm glad you were able to stick to your own pace without the accompanying angst as others move ahead. I think I may have told you about the story of me not letting the Navy guy in pink tights and pink tshirt pass me in a 5K in my younger days while in the Marine Corps and it almost killed me ... trying to get ahead of him again and stay that way... I'd be much more chill about it these days!
I took a rest day Saturday and lifted and did a 1 mile treadmill walk/run yesterday followed by another rest day today. I had a car appointment this morning. Back at it tomorrow!

I hadn't heard that story @Dave, wish there was photographic evidence of it. The bigger test is in a few weeks, that race is 4 miles and has one of my trainer's other clients in it, she's got the height, weight, speed, and a lot of other things going for her that get to my psyche, yes I'm jealous, and I need to work on that.
Yesterday I did goat yoga, and had a huge amount of fun doing it. Didn't get a lot of yoga done, but laughed and hugged goats like crazy.
adding 2.5 miles today in Boot Camp - one of those circuit themed classes where you run laps between each one. The last one sucked, you get back from running 3 laps, do two of all seven exercises which takes about a minute and a half, then out on the track for another 4! It's fun though.

Yes! That's @KARID1114, @KAR328, @DJMICHEALS and @ME making GOAL!! :drinker: On to bonus miles!
@KAR328 - I saw goat yoga on the news a few days ago and that does look like fun!!
@CPANUS - You're closing in on your goal nicely!
About four and a half days left in the month...do what you can, everyone!
I upped my mixed treadmill workout to 2.0 miles of Walk3/R1 and then did 3 miles on the bike.
Dave
