    HFM Training - Week 10

    Sunday - rest
Monday - 14 km long run

Tuesday - 5 km steady run
Wednesday - 5 km, 6x hill of doom
Thursday - 6 km steady run
    Friday - rest
Saturday rest, optional restorative yoga class

The long run is done for the week and now that it is a bit warmer, had my first run of the season on the pedestrian path on Lake Ontario, not far from my house. Very pretty by the water this morning!

Jenn - I am not doing leg & beast abs, & then going for these runs! All of this “beast” stuff just sounds so much more exotic and challenging than “running”.

Jamie - Happy Birthday!! That bench was a real find!! Have a great day!!

It was a beautiful running morning so did my 6 km today. My back is not perfect & slowing me down at points, but physio work is helping.

The latest quote from Coach Steve. Not sure why all of these military motifs are popping up in my life lately, but here you go:

“Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired. When you were younger the mind could make you dance all night, and the body was never tired...You've always got to make the mind take over and keep going." - George S. Patton, U.S. Army General and 1912 Olympian

Hiccups at the beginning of my week. Was one day ahead of you guys now I'm one day behind. Monday I ended up going to the hospital with a client. All is good. Life happens. I'm going for a run with my sister and then it's back and biceps with the hubby when I get back.

Monday after work and after the date lol: Last week's Rest Day + Last week's Beast Abs DONE
Tuesday morning : Build Back and Bis + Last week’s Abs DONE
Wednesday morning : Beast Cardio DONE
Thursday morning : This week’s Beast Abs +Build Shoulders DONE
Friday after work : Build Chest and Tris
Saturday after work : Rest Day
    Sunday morning : Build Legs

    Hey guys !
Oh that shoulders workout just kicked my *kitten* ! Wooohhhhhhhh
I did the Abs first and I think that it is a good plan for me. Combining it with the cardio is just too much and I find I do a much better job, let alone enjoy it much more when I isolate it.

Looks like we are all working hard and letting our strong minds do the deciding rather than our bodies huh !

    Great work guys !
Jamie, how do you like your new toy ?

You may or may not know but Bianca will be away from us for a little bit as family stuff is happening. I know she’ll be back with us as soon as she can.

Great job Jenn ! And great plan too ! All we have to do is take it one day at a time right ?

Wednesday after work : Build Shoulders
Thursday after work and another retirement dinner : Build Chest and Tris
Friday morning : Build Legs, then leave for the weekend
    Saturday : Rest
Sunday when I get home : Build Back and Bis

    HFM Training - Week 11

    Sunday - cancelled
    Monday - cancelled
    Tuesday - cancelled
    Wednesday - 7 km run
    Thursday - ? Maybe 5 km run
    Friday - 16 km run
    Saturday - rest

Well, we had a two day ice and wind storm here in Toronto. High winds, hail, freezing rain, power outages, downed trees & power lines. It was pretty scary, especially last night when our area lost power & there were lots of emergency vehicles around. Still some freezing rain this morning & schools are closed. So much for Spring! While I can run in a lot of different weather, this is even too much for me! So I will adjust and do 2 or 3 runs later this week & hopefully, things will have cleared by then. The hill of doom is too dangerous right now due to fallen trees (darn!), so no hill training. On the bright side, this gives me an opportunity to focus more with my physio this week. Hope that you all have a good week!

Well this is where I am guys. I had the worst week since last September. Just not feeling it and unmotivated. Don't worry...on Monday I got back into the groove. I do love these workouts!

It is funny because I feel like it was such a bad week but when I look back I actually got some runs and completed 4 BB workouts. I think I just ate so bad...... :s And I Netflix binged over the weekend which is fun but so not productive. Totally worried about my weigh in tomorrow.

Here is my plan for the week:

    Monday- Build Chest/Tris
    Tuesday- Build Legs

    Wednesday-Build Back/ BIs
    Thursday-Cardio/abs
    Friday-Build shoulders
    Saturday-Rest
    Sunday-Build Chest/Tris

Your cheese balls and Doritos post do make me feel a little better. :D

I think that the yucky weather is part of the issue this week. The winter weather just feels like going backwards. My kids are cranky & so sick of the winter gear at this point. Spring is coming & we need to hang in there! Enough sidewalk ice has melted so I will run later today, finally. In addition to the cheese balls & Doritos, your can throw in Pilsbury chocolate chip cookies! The boys were in such a bad mood last night, I made the cookies to cheer them up. I had to partake as well! Honestly, I could have eaten all of them!

Wednesday after work : Build Shoulders Will do Chest and Tris instead
Thursday after work and another retirement dinner : Build Chest and Tris Nope, will do Cardio instead
Friday morning : Build Legs, then leave for the weekend
