I know September hasn't started yet but I weigh on a Sunday so I've done my last August weigh in.
I did rubbish in August. As soon as the holiday started I just wobbled back and forth between a pound. This month I NEED to lose and I'm sure I will as school & preschool reopen.
School starts next Thursday and preschool is the following week.
I still have 7lbs of winter regain to get off. This weather has been nuts this year. It's been more like Autumn here for half of the summer.5 -
Hi everyone! This is my second Biggest Loser Challenge. It’s so much fun and effective. Look forward to cheering you all on and being cheered on. I was doing keto and now am back on a caloric deficit diet with exercise.5

Hi, my name is Silke and I live in Hong Kong. This is my first challenge. I have tried every possible fitness program and went from vegetarian to keto to two pack of crisps in front of the TV... I’m really good for one week - working out, eating well etc. And then I fall off the wagon and drink and eat like a pig.... I hope I’ll can keep it up this time.... weather is horrible here at the moment - hot and humid - not the right time for hiking and running....5

Hey everybody! I'm Heidi from upstate NY...43 and this will be my first challenge. Glad to be in a supportive group. I need to lose 70 pounds...none of my clothes fit and I feel so unhealthy. Looking to hopefully be an extreme asset to the team as I get back on track for a healthy lifestyle. GO team!!! Yay!4

Hi Silke, so great to have you on the team. Being consistent is so difficult especially if you’re someone like me who want immediate rewards and see immediate changes.1 -
Hi Team- my name is Jodi, this is my first biggest loser challenge. Making healthy choices, being active and losing weight is a life long challenge for me- glad to have others to help us all stay motivated!3

Hey All,
I've been a bit remiss in my eating habits during the August challenge. I tend to have a heavy travel schedule for work and eating out everyday and trying to eat healthy seem to compete with each other. I am recommitting myself in September. We can do it, Team!6 -

I know exactly what you mean !! I travel also Monday thru Thursday every week :-)2 -
Hi, this is my first biggest loser challenge but im excited to get going and hope i bring something to the team. Lets do this!3

Hey Hey Hey Team Flab-U-Less!
An introduction is in order...
My name is Jason - this is my second round with The Biggest Loser Challenge! Did pretty well in August, and looking forward to rocking out September too. I reside in St. Louis, MO with my wife and 6 (yes, SIX) beautiful children. One is 17, so I guess he's not really a child anymore.
I work a normal blue collar job during the day - I run a safety supply warehouse, so am moving around quite a bit. You would think that I wouldn't have as much to lose as I do, but that's where I am. 4 out of 7 days I help my buddy with his commercial cleaning business. Between those things, and all the activities my kids are in - Band, Dance, Soccer (now), Baseball, Basketball...and the church functions and other school functions, it is hard for me to get a lot of exercise in. But I have managed to incorporate walking/jogging a few days a week.
The biggest thing I have been working on is my food... portion control, etc. I follow the 16:8 Intermittent Fasting system. It isn't a diet, but more meal timing. I find it works for me - it may not work for you or be your cup of tea. I won't ever say its a cure all or the magic bullet, but it helps me.
I have a little over 20 pounds left to lose. Making good progress. Everyone including me will have ups and downs. There will be days you want to quit and give up. Don't. I will end it there.
The reason for the long introduction...
I will be your the new Captain of Team Flab-U-Less! I want to thank Julie, @Djou11 for everything she has done for the group as prior captain. She will be staying on board as co-captain on this wonderful journey!!! I will for sure rely on her as well as @AB0215 as mentors during the transition and as I enter the new role.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to myself via this thread, or by PM if it is something you wish to discuss in private. I may take a few things we were doing in the other team and use here, if that's cool with everyone - it seemed to help motivate and provide much success!!!
Again, I am looking forward to working with all of you - motivating, encouraging, and getting to know you. I think in life, the journey is better with friends!

Hello Team Flab-U-Less!
Welcome to September!!
This month, we are going to be running (Optional) Mini-challenges. Question of the Week, Daily Posts, maybe even some seek and find games!
Let me be 100% clear - participation in these mini-challenges is optional. It's up to you if you want to chime in! If you don't want to participate in these challenges, you don't have to. I would like to encourage you to participate as it seems to help keep people on track and thinking about our goals on a daily basis and it's encouraging to see other's successes and struggles so that we realize that we are not alone!!
The Daily Posts Challenge has 5 basic rules. (*optional challenge)- Track EVERYTHING you eat that has calories.
- Stay inside your allocated daily budget.
- Try to do at least 20 minutes of activity a day (anything: walk, run, cycle, swim, gardening, housework, yoga, gym... As long as it gets you active and off the couch)
- 1 pass day permitted per week (went over calories, could not track, not enough exercise, intentional pass)
- Check in daily (tracking yes/no, calories yes/no, exercise yes/no).
At the end of the week, those who have managed to keep to plan for 6 out of 7 days are recognized in the thread as being part of the weekly "winners circle". This is not the same as the official results, which are weight based, this is just another tool to help you reach your weight loss goals.
**REMEMBER**- You set your own daily budget.
- You choose you own exercise and intensity (no step limit, no exercises you cannot or should not do, 20 mins of gardening counts as much as a 10mile run, activity is activity, anything that gets you up and moving!).
- Is not weight based (as weight fluctuates day by day).
- Can continue beyond weight loss.
If you choose to participate in The Daily Posts Challenge, your posts should look like this:
Daily Post (Sunday)
Track: Yes/No
Calories: Over/Under
Exercise: Yes/No (what type and how long)
Goals/Day: Tell us a brief description about your day or goals
The Question of the Week Challenge (*optional challenge)
This is a fun participation booster and we will be using it sometimes just as fun and sometimes it can help to foster new ideas for others as we all are different and have different experiences so sharing ideas can help someone else with motivation of freshening up their routine even!! Keep on the lookout for these questions.
This is something that is fun, but challenging to me since I am running out of questions, and I would like to invite any of you guys to feel free to come up with a question you think is fun and send it to me. I am running out of creative questions and would like to use my "Ask the Audience Lifeline."
Our Normal Weigh In (*NON-optional challenge)
Please post your weight on your scheduled weigh in day, as if you miss weigh-ins, you may be eliminated from the challenge and we don't want to see that happen!!
Your posts should look like this:
Username:
Week: February Week 1
PW: Previous Weight
CW: Current Weight
Please setup your posts in that format as it really makes it much easier for me to track your progress for the challenges and the weight loss!!
I'd like to help us be as successful as possible and if I can help in any way, please let me know. Also, if you have any suggestions for the team or fun ideas to spice things up a bit, please feel free to share them, I look for new ways to help engagement and keep people motivated!!
I am committed to this group and to help where I can, and please let me know if I can help in any way!!
Welcome to September and let's make things happen this month together!!
Your Captain,
Jason @BEASTFIELD3147 -

Good morning everyone! Yesterday was a looooong day for me. I had my regular job, then I had a football game I went to support my child who is in the marching band. Then I had my 2nd job. Finally got home around 11:30pm. Phew. I am generally up and awake at 5am each morning - I slept until 7 today. Just my bodies way of telling me I needed sleep. Today I have my second job until around 2. Then I will be grilling for my family. I have got to find some time today to get a little walking in...
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Saturday. Is everyone ready for the challenge? I know I am!!!!1 -

Hey @ToadstoolBetty - looks like you are doing really well with your exercising and calories! Great job on that! What types of exercising do you enjoy doing? Right now I try to get walking and jogging in. I hope to start making my way back to the gym.0 -

Good morning @silke_luise - the weekends are always a struggle for me! It's like my body says - PARTY TIME!!! LOL! But, I try to remind myself that I don't want to undo all hard work I did during the week. But there are days that I say forget it - I am going to just enjoy the day. After all, why are we working so hard for this is we can't enjoy life! Maybe today you can do some fun things with the kids instead!!! Have a great day!!1
