I am officially on a countdown to my birthday. The goal? To reach 148 before turning 48. Not impossible but no more messing around. Doing the fat fast again for a few days to kick start my ketosis - it works! Really missing some folks on here. You know who you are.

Thank you to those who gave me suggestions of good home exercise things! I am going through and planning out exercise days/times to keep myself accountable. I have been doing keto for over 90 days now and my husband just started as well. He’s a week in and starting to get his energy back. I remember that feeling from starting up again after vacation!! I don’t think I’ll hit my goal this month, but I’m not worried about it. Life goes on and I keep at it. That’s all that matters2 -
Can I join? How do I join? I’m just starting keto. I’ve been trying for 3 weeks with no success 😔 I need help and motivation! Thank you for your support!3

My weight "bounces" a pound or two before it drops, and often my clothes feel like they fit better even when bouncing up. I've wondered if the fat is redistributing itself on my body. When I lost weight on keto, my skin was a lot less droopy than when I lost after bariatric surgery (both were for the same 30 pound range, from 178 down to 148).
[/quote]
Yes, you were right! I lost 2 pounds since my last weigh in. I think the less droopy skin on keto is because of autophagy. Interesting stuff.

greetings all. now in a hotel for a few weeks but looks as if we may get back into our house by mid to late October, supposedly the sign off date back to us has been brought forward a week and the carpets are going down week commencing 8th October and, just as I write that I've remembered I'd better get the October Challenge posted ahhhh!
Still due to a horrible cold my weight is currently 149.6 think that's down from when I lasted posted it. All I want to do currently is stay the same or at least not gain too much while eating out all of the time. Looking forward to my own kitchen again but NOT looking forward to unpacking 1 million boxes!!3 -
Hi all.

Ok, so I've been AWOL for about a week very busy with festivals and guests, etc. I haven't been logging food, but still trying to stay on track. I know what works for me and what doesn't ... and, yes, I've been eating things that DON'T work for me very well! But I've kept those bad things to a minimum and have managed to lose what little I gained at the beginning of the month. Sure is a journey without an end, really. I'm coming to the realization that even when I reach my goal, I'm going to have to be mindful and disciplined so that I don't bounce back to what I was in January. Logging is a necessary part of that. It's so easy to get lazy or fudge on the carb count or rationalize a splurge that turns into another splurge and by that time the scale starts to react and then discouragement sets in. The great thing about keto is that once you start back up again, the results come quickly. I'm so thankful for that! These last 12 pounds are going to be tough, I have a feeling. With heading into winter and cold it's going to be difficult to want to get out and walk. I am determined! Keto on, my friends!

Welcome! I started out at exactly the weight you are now, and I'm down almost 30lbs. It is so doable! I've been pretty lazy all summer, so I haven't lost much recently. I lost that 30lbs in the first 4 months.2 -

I'd love to be hovering around 149. Things have sloooowed. If I'm honest with myself, I haven't been in ketosis in 3 months.0 -

well you'll get there again! Frankly I'm not sure I'm in ketosis as I never measure, just assume I am when I'm very low carb but I don't stick to it just now, just have panic days when I go over 150!2 -
Had a difficult month, working on getting back. I love being part of a community that helps inspire and motivate. Thanks all.

Four pounds down this month. Next month I will be able to be more active and in control of my food (was away from home a lot this month, so less ability to plan/determine menus). Fingers crossed for closer to two pounds down weekly this coming month!
So this is an ambivalent weight area for me. I'm happy I am down from my high weight, but I've been in the mid-160s before (been there more than in the 170s), and was able to drop to the low 160s/high 150s. It's almost always at that point that loss becomes really hard, and things slip back up. I will start feeling really excited/accomplished about this when the scale hits 158, which is also my halfway to goal point. If I'm able to do do even 1.5 pounds a week off in October, I'll make it. Fingers crossed!4 -

My goal for September was simply to reach 274 so I could say I was below the next 25 pound mark. So I am happy about that I met my goal. I will confess to being a little bummed that today's weight was not the lowest for the month, but at least I did meet my monthly goal!6 -
Hi - I just started this month. Quick question - is there a way of editing the original post to this challenge? I put my weight in the spreadsheet, but couldn't find a way to go back in to my original post to add weights each week, so I am posting them all in this post.
Starting weight 182.5; GW 140; Sept GW 172.5
Sunday 09/01 - 182.5 lbs
Sunday 09/09 - 176
Sunday 09/16 - 174
Sunday 09/23 - 172
Sunday 09/30 - 170
Looks like initial water weight, then steady from there (with some ups and downs through the week). I am ready for the October challenge. I started strict keto, but have loosened up to probably what is called "dirty" keto because I will drink diet soda, diet jello, and just tried Carbquik. I track about 95% of the days, and if I go over 20 net carbs it's because of more green veggies. I also started exercising this month, alternating group spin or kickboxing classes with walking the dog and playing in a volleyball league. Can't wait to break 170!3 -
Start Weight (May 24,2018) 248.2 lbs
GW for September 199.999 lbs - or go away 200's!!
Near term goal 179.9 lbs
Sunday 09/02: 210.2 lbs
Sunday 09/09: 209.0 (-1.2 lbs)
Sunday 09/16: 206.7 (-2.3 lbs)
Sunday 09/23: 204.0 (-2.7 lbs)
Sunday 09/30: 202.3 (-1.7 lbs)
Ok so I didn't meet me Onederland goal yet, but I'm still happy to be very close to it. I have 5 more days to my vacation and I'm so excited about it. And yes! My goal pants do fit now. Which is funny bacuae last week I didn't think I will be able to fit into them for a while. I noticed that my body does that funny thing where the weight will drop on the scale, but I will see a change in the way things fit several days later. That's so weird 🤣

I haven't lost anything this month. I took the month off from weighing in because I wanted to change how I look at my weight loss. I ate more vegetables. I did more work outs. But it's my birthday month, and just about every weekend this month, I've drank alcohol. I know that's what sabotaged my progress this month. While I'm disappointed, I'm not surprised or regret it at all. I didn't cheat. I didn't eat carby foods. I just drank alcohol. But I also had a great birthday month.
And I did accomplish my goal: I finally started to see the fact that I've lost 50 lbs (according to my records at my doctor's office, not according to my starting weight when I started keto) and recognize that feat. I feel proud to be in my own skin for the first time in many, many years. And I had fun taking pictures, going shopping for new clothes, and feeling pretty. So this was a good learning experience for myself.
But I think I'll be weighing in weekly again in October, to hold myself accountable. ^_^
Keto on, everyone!8 -

100 days in to Keto and I’m thrilled with my progress! Tomorrow, I start an exercise routine with my husband. 145 is the lowest I’ve ever been since starting MFP in 2011. I am so excited to continue this journey. And seeing everyone’s progress is still so inspiring!! ❤️❤️❤️7 -

also well done everyone, loose or gain or stay the same, all we need is to check in to keep vaguely on track!3 -

It's been a good month as far as the scale is concerned, but certainly posed some challenges as well. I had my first migraine in months which really effected my sleep and energy. Weird hormonal depression before my period. I'm sure there is something I've eaten this month which could have contributed. Ill have to look back in my food diary and see what it could be.
On a positive note, I joined a weekly pilates class which I think will really help build some muscle and my overall health. My original goal weight I'd 135, but as I approach that number I feel there is more work to be done. I'll have to revaluate as I get closer. I'm also preparing for my weight loss to slow signifigantly as I get closer to that number.
