Im in the same boat. Right now I am just focusing on my eating habits and trying to log everything. Slimming the midline is all about food. I would also like some suggestions if anyone has any.

Same with me ... I’ve lost about 27 lbs so far and have about 8 more to go. I keep losing and gaining the same 2 lbs the last couple weeks ... ready to break the plateau!

Me too! Just five pounds left to my old weight. But 6cm to lose in my stomach. Not sure why it's so big still. So I might need to lose more than five pounds maybe??

I am stuck on 123. I know it will move eventually. I was stuck on 127 forever as well. I do get tired of these "sticky" weights, but I know it just takes patience. Hope you all are doing well!

Unbelievable. I am still stuck at 123. I sincerely believe there are weights that my body just doesn't want to give up. I suspect I will take a sudden drop when I FINALLY get to 122, but sheesh!

I'm currently 130lbs and would like to lose 5 more (10 sounds great but I worry I won't be able to maintain it). I've always gained weight around my middle and after 2 kids with diastasis recti my belly is not my happy place. I do intermittent fasting, HIIT workouts twice a week and 1-3 other cardio or weight sessions. I'm also trying to do exercises to fix my diastasis recti every day. My nemesis right now is snacking... especially on weekends when I'm tempted by all the food my husband has squirreled away in the pantry. Yesterday my snack calories were more than both of my other meals combined. I would love an accountability partner to help me keep my snacking under control. Along with that, I think limiting processed sugar might be the key to getting rid of this mom belly. But I love chocolate so much...

I did it! I finally got out of the 123 zone to 122. No joke, I was beginning to wonder if I had just hit a plateau I would never get out of. Today I am 122.0 -- and I'm sure I will bounce up from that, but it certainly was nice to see the scale move. Onward and downward!

The best news is that (knock wood) I think I am acquiring the habit of not snacking at night. I drink my tea, I do something fun, but when dinner is over, eating is over. Of course, I am eating a MASSIVE amount of vegetables every night, so I am genuinely not hungry -- but that has never stopped me from snacking before!

    Great job!!! It's hard

Agefyter18, lunch is my problem meal too. How many calories were you planning on having for lunch?

Okay, can we agree that MFP was really not designed for people looking to lose less than 10 pounds? I was just informed that, if I continued to eat as I did today, in five weeks I would weigh 111 pounds! Umm... no. At least I hope not!

Agreed, whatever algorithm they use cannot be accurate.

One more comment as the "waist" area -- I would need to lose 3-4 more lbs to get rid of the "waist" area but by that time, I will have no more boobs!! Cruel joke on women.

I wouldn't pay much attention to it. It always always says I'm going to gain weight even when I'm trying to lose. It's pretty inaccurate.

Ditto ..... I feel your pain!
I've always been pear shaped with a pot belly (my belly is my nemesis probably because I can't see my bum!). 3 kids and days where I consume huge amounts of sugary snacks has not done my body shape any favours.
Good luck on achieving your goals!

Hi Krea4, I’m up for competing with you on losing weight! I am 131 pounds and only 5’2”, so any weight past 125 pounds makes me look pudgy. My tummy and love handles are the parts I am trying to lose weight on. Plus it couldn’t hurt to have thinner thighs too! I am posting pics of my tummy and love handles. Do you want to post it too so we can compare who got thinner first?va04567sgfnd.jpeg

I can't post pics from my phone so I'll have to do it tomorrow.

I'm 5'5 & 135 lbs. This is the heaviest I've ever been. My weight was previously in the 115-125 lbs range. It's just gotten so hard in my 40s to lose weight & keep it off. If I could lose 10 lbs & keep it off, I'd be content with that. I'm tracking my food & exercise again, because when I don't, I eat too much. I've also got a sit-to-stand desk at work & have been standing much more during the day & also doing lunges & calf raises. I'm trying to squeeze in exercise throughout the day because I'm just not as motivated as I used to be. In the past, I would work out 6-7 days/week, 2 hours/day. Now it's a challenge to do 3 times/week, 30 minutes/day.

Hi Stephanie, I also have a sit down job, and have a sedentary lifestyle. I started doing 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week using the LesMills app body combat, as I like kickboxing and tai kwando. I heard that it is not very useful to workout 30 minutes a day if I’m sitting around the rest of the day. As I work in a university, I am going to get up 2 or 3 times during the day and walk around campus for a few minutes. I will also walk up 9 flights of steps to my work floor once a day. I only eat 1200 calories a day using this app to count my calories. I am also in my forties and used to weigh 110-120 pounds when I was younger. I hope to get to 125 pounds in 4 weeks!

Hey all.. 5'1 125 lbs and looking to be around 115-118 since I really am "skinny fat". I used to be 130 and now stuck in the 125lbs zone.. What I am trying right now is intermittent fasting, as many work outs as possible including home workouts and cardio and most importantly trying to cut back on alcohol.. I do not drink during the week but can finish 2 bottles of wine a gin and tonic and a few beers over fri/sat/sun while entertaining, cooking and hanging out at home which I am positive is the reason why I just cant get rid of the fat.

    Welcome everyone!

During this last week I've been feeling much more positive. Therefore, I'm making better food choices. So far this month I have done nearly 5 and a half hours of exercise! Now I just need to take better control of my eating!

    Proposed format
    02.21: 137.3
    02.28: 137.5 (+0.2)
    03.01: 138.5 (+1.0)
    03.07: 137.5 (-1.0) :)

Well done on losing 2 lbs.
Although I exercise a lot, I also eat a lot so my loses are always much smaller.

@krea4 Yes - please add me as a friend! I need to lose about 8 lbs. I'm going to start logging all my stuff on here. I have the exercise down - it's the junk food for me.

Joining a bit late. I'm 5'6 and 132 pounds, but would like to get these last few (7-8) vanity pounds off. I workout hard 5 days a week (Orange Theory, Spinning and BootCamp), and walk 6-9 miles per day on the weekends, but I really need to get back into a regular lifting schedule. I was in my best shape ever when I was heavy lifting regularly. But my husband was my lifting partner and he's been kind of blah about it over the past year. It's easy to postpone the lifting workout another day...and suddenly it's been forever. My other issue is my love for weekend wine. I've gotta reign that in if I want to be serious about these last few pounds.
