Happy Sunday everyone. I will be spending part of my day with my older son and his girlfriend. My younger son moved to Chicago in February so hopefully I’ll get to talk to him on the phone. He was living in the Los Angeles area then moved back to Michigan. But a good job opportunity came up in February so he’s living in Chicago. At least it’s closer!! I plan on taking the train to visit him in a couple of weeks.

Food: Pre-logged, stayed on track but I think I was slightly over

Exercise & steps: 30 minute dog walk + 90 minutes goat yoga; 10,054 steps
Goat yoga was a blast! Basically its an exercise in concentration which I failed because these cute 10 day old goats are running around the yoga studio. It was really interesting that when I got a chance to hold one how it wold calm down as I practiced mindful breathing. Really an awesome experience! Got up early this morning to drag the area rug out onto the deck and shampoo it. Just took a break from cleaning the hardwood floors to catch up on posts. If I get the floors clean and rug back in the house, I'l be a happy camper and take the afternoon off. Gotta get back to the floors...

I had a good day yesterday. After I got off of the computer, got myself together and got down to the shore. It was a beautiful day. Last night we surprised one of my nieces for her birthday. It was at her favorite bar at the shore and she wasn't expecting us. There was a lot of appetizers and I was successful eating until satisfied. I just was lazy logging since I ate a little of everything . Today it is windy and rainy so no walks. I am on my last day of steroids for my hip so I am going to take it easy again today. I am going to try to start back slowly tomorrow with walking. I was feeling better earlier in the week and pushed it with walking and my steps so I don't want to push now that I am almost done. It feels better but the pain is not gone. It was gone before I pushed it but I think it was because I was on a higher steroid dose not because of anything I did. It is weird not working out or at least walking. Hope everyone has a nice day!
@hope002 Isn't it nice to be able to go to a party, not overeat and feel good the following day? I used to either stress about the party, overeat and feel like crap the next day or actually cancel and not go. Having a plan helps. You did great yesterday! Do you use the ate app? I think that uses pics to log your food.
@cyndiesstuff I am so happy you aren't beating yourself up over yesterday. I know it is a struggle but you took ownership of the day, you actually put a stop to binging with something that worked and you may be able to use in the future, you still planned today and most of all you didn't give up on yourself. It is a new day today, keep moving forward. Hugs. So the bar, he and a good friend bought a dive bar in our town. It has been renovated since Oct and finally ready to open. They haven't been bar owners before but have hired two people who have managed bars for a living to run it. They have known both for many years, one since childhood. They both have great reputations in the local community for this. My husband and his partner plan to keep their current jobs. Shannon is going to work their part time. @Mrsbell8well What a productive weekend! The run today sounds like fun and the scenery will be beautiful I am sure! I am also glad to hear you are planning a little get a way with Molly. You have been on the go for months so it will be nice for you to have some time to relax.

@nstephenson01 Apparently that goat yoga is "in" . I was just telling my daughters and son in law that you were doing it and not only have they all heard about it, they knew all about it. Shannon said she wants to do it! Lol! I never heard of it before you! Lol! I am glad you enjoyed it!5 -

Last night the escape room was fun. We all argued and got distracted by some of the items in the room, we didn't get out in time but they add on minutes so we got out before the added minutes ran out. For dinner I only had 2 beer and ate half my dinner. Did go a little overboard on the bread though, one of my weaknesses.
As for today, I went to my Zumba class then food shopping. I came home and made some meatballs for later in the week, protein balls, and I bought a chicken already cooked. I also made a pork shoulder today. My week is ready to begin.
I'm pretty sure I passed the crazy class I took that stressed me out these last few months. I think I should find out for definite this week. I am glad it is over.

spent the day outside yesterday as it’s FINALLY nice weather, and today my mom, my sister & i decided to walk to Mother’s Day Brunch instead of drive - that was really nice!

What a great week. I wasn't sure this would go because I had a bit of a chocolate incident on Friday. It just goes to show that a bad day doesn't do the damage but the continuance of bad eating habits. Eating to plus 2 on the hunger scale is going well. This week I need to work on the other basics especially sleep.6 -

All 4 of my kids called and said they love me ❤️ one son called from Iraq, another texted me from Afghanistan, my son who has a booming bakery in California and my daughter joined us for dinner. Food was delicious including the vegan lemon donuts. Molly was pretty shook up by end of day missing her mom. Grateful my mom still doing great.
