F2F-WLC CHALLENGES:
- - WEEKLY GROUP CHALLENGE (Challenges hosted by teams for the entire group)
- - MODERATOR'S CHALLENGE (Challenges hosted by the moderators of the group)
- - INDIVIDUAL CHALLENGES (Challenges within teams themselves)

Team Weekly challenges will be announced in later communications

(Note:The team order for challenges follows the team order in the group standing sheet on the spreadsheets)

HOW OUR CHALLENGES WORK:
We have 4 total possible challenges and NONE are mandatory. Our challengers can do none or all it's up to them. So we have...

The F2F Weekly TEAM Challenge - posted each week on Sunday in the announcements by the team who is assigned that particular week (see above for your week). This is for the F2F Group as a whole.

F2F Moderators Challenge/Topic of the week - This challenge is provided each week in the announcements area. One of the moderators will either provide a challenge that will involve anything fitness, health, and nutrition.

Individual Team challenges - these are challenge done within your own team. You can chose daily, weekly, or monthly challenges (weekly seems to work best). You can make this whatever you wish as long as it's health and fitness related.

Note: If for some reason your team is unable to provide the weekly challenge please let me know ahead of time so another team can take your place or so I can provide the challenge.

Good Luck Teams: Please let us know if there is anything wrong or if you notice something that needs to be fixed or modified. Everything seems ready to go for JUNE. Registrations are almost done and we have quite a few new challengers. Make sure you are going into your new team threads to welcome anyone who has started posting. Let’s make our newbies feel welcome and show them some F2F love!!

THANKS, YOUR MODS

Hey we have about 9 new teammates in June, welcome folks! I'm one of the team captains, Jessica is the other. June weigh-in's start Sunday. Just post them here in the usual format (see others) on your weigh-in day. Try and post comments often, I think it makes it more interesting and self-helping (if that is a word). If you are doing the steps challenge as well try to keep up on that, it's alot of spreadsheet work for the stepmaster (also Jessica).

Newbies, please introduce yourself with a short bio and your goals here. It's a good group although we do have some wallflowers.

I'm Doug, I'm married and a dad of three teenage boys here in Albuquerque. I'm retired NASA, a former USAF pilot (hence the pic) and now a contractor at Kirtland AFB. I've been on MFP for over 5 years and have done the yo yo. Initially lost 66, gained back 40, lost 20 of those so I'm about 20 from goal. I'm current in a rut going sideways but have not lost hope. I was made a team captain because I have a big mouth. :o

🖐️ I am Marni from Scotland I am married with two children.. two cats one puppy oh and a goldfish .. dont ask their names I don't want to be pre-judged 🥴

I work with the Reablement Team I go out to the elderly people's homes that are just out of hospital and reable them back to independent life ..

I was on mfp for 6 years under another account but deleted it because it became more like a dating app and now back three years later with new goals.. new friends new mind set.. I follow slimming world and go to the classes on a Thursday night (which I like waiting to go see the head teacher when you were at school)

So yeah that is me .. Marni (ps I am a loud mouth as well)

Hello and welcome to all of our new teammates. I'm Jennifer and while I usually pop on here to post my daily steps I need to get better about commenting and contributing to the group. :)

New here, looking for accountability. From Southeast Michigan, married and am a financial coach. (My husband and I got out of $225,000 of debt. I wish weight loss was as easy of an equation. 😂) Been on MFP since 2010 but have stopped and started a lot. Would like to lose 40lbs or so more lbs.

I have been a MFP member on and off since 2010 and one day I'll get this right. I'm one of the wallflowers and because I've got 120 lbs. to lose, I tend to stay in the shadows. I've been a yo-yo dieter all my life and patience is not my strong suite. I need to trust the process and not be so quick to throw in the towel. My goal is to be more involved on this thread and develope positive self talk.

I'll be 66 yrs. old soon and and I've been retired from banking for 4 years. My husband and I live in Wisconsin; we have 2 grown children.

    @pizzafruit same tune here.

MSG! I had some Chinese food and retained all the water. My class ring only can pass the first knuckle :D

I'm trying to get my mojo back, been bad for too long. I burned 3700+ calories in exercise this weekend and still logged a gain. Weight loss happens in the kitchen, not at the gym (but I already knew that).

Welcome Jessica! 100 to lose seems like an insurmountable goal, a mountain! Don't look at the mountain, keep your eyes on the trail in front of you. Keto works for some, I've never tried it. I think you will find that if you just get into the logging and calorie control you can lose weight consistently without too much "pain", particularly in the early stages. It's the last 10% that's really tough to trim off, your body doesn't want it to leave. Use the MFP tools, the Net Calories on your phone should be telling you all you really need to know. I also recommend regular cardio exercise (yes, strength training is important too) to give yourself more to eat each day with the side benefit of physical fitness. Alot of people disagree but I think weighing every morning is a good source of feedback--it keeps you mindful of your goal and stings a bit if you are not following the guidance. Some folks are not emotionally equipped for the ups and downs of a weight loss program, just keep in mind that your weight loss graph will be jagged with ups and downs and hopefully a downward trendline. Measure, Log, Sweat, Repeat

    Good luck!

I heard measurements are important too. I have a scale that tells you body fat, water, bone, muscle etc. But haven't ever really paid attention, I just look at the weight.

And I've never measured myself before. I guess it's a Good time to start.
