I am on track to meet my goals for the day. Love the meal prepping discussion from the mods. I am retired, so I don’t to any meal prep. I do plan my meals a week in advance though. I wasn’t feeling well for a few days, so Friday and Saturday I didn’t meet my step goal. Unfortunately, it did not affect my appetite.

@Beka3695 great job prepping! Everything looks great.
@TheMrWobbly awesome steps today!

@LaurieWrobo those steps look great!2 -
Sunday steps: 12158
I live alone so do lots of prep and batch cooking.
My top breakfast tip is overnight oats, I make three or 4 portions on a Sunday to eat in the week, just adding fruit each morning. Oats, yoghurt, milk and seeds mixed together in a Tupperware create creamy breakfast goodness!
For my other meals I label Tupperware before it goes in the freezer and plan out my week's meals on a grid.
I do eat treats at the weekend because they keep me sane, but try to only buy on the day I plan to eat them to limit temptations throughout the week.
I carry healthy snacks with me to work, fruit, veg sticks, hummus/yog dip, nuts, chickpeas etc so I can snack when peckish and not reach for a higher cal alternative.
Have a great week everyone!

Sorry folks...crazy weekend. I completely forgot to weigh Saturday, then again Sunday until after I had eaten breakfast. Please bear with me. It will be a very stressful month for me with school starting back and my husband leaving for an out-of-town project that will keep him away until the end of October. My goal is to continue walking/jogging every day and eat better. I really slacked off in July but my game is back and it is strong 💪 😊
Starting weight for August: 200.3
Weigh in day: Saturday3 -
Good Morning and Happy New Month
I am Julie and a captain.. who has slacked pretty hard core lately but I WILL do better.
I signed up for my 2nd 1/2 marathon last week and training started this morning. I def wore the wrong shoes and my feet are paying for it.
I have prepped my breakfast, lunch and snacks for the week.
I got my 2 miles in this morning to start my 1/2 training.

Hi everyone.
PW: 247.5
CW: 241
Lost 6.5 pounds this week. I have never, ever lost this much in a week, even in the beginning. I had several restaurant/processed meals the week before and have learned, over time, that I really react to the higher sodium and gain lots of water weight with these types of meals. So I am estimating about 4 pounds lost of water weight, and about 2.5 pounds of actual weight.
I really struggled in July with very little weight loss, so I really needed this kick start to to reinvigorate me for August.
My August goals are:
Reach 238 pounds. My diabetes handbook says a 5% or 10% loss in weight can have great health improvements. I started at 264.5, so reaching 238 would be a 10% loss of my weight.
30 minutes of cardio at least 5 days a week. I was shooting for 6 days but want the option of taking off a day if need be.
Monitor blood glucose once or twice daily. And stay under 140.
Still weigh every day, but only input my losses. A friend suggested this as a way to not obsess over upticks in weight, which I tend to do. As long as I follow the plan and trust the process I should see losses along the way and not worry over the gains. Will see if this mental game works for me.

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday. Working both jobs lately has been draining me but I am sure the paycheck next week will help.
I am working both jobs all week, so that's 13 hour days, plus getting in my miles for training. I still have to get 2 in today. Either at lunch or after work tonight. I will NOT deviate from the plan.
I just finished up my eggs, sausage and hot sauce with 1 cup of coffee.
Onto getting in the water now.5 -
