Wow friends! We did great in Week 3. Lets keep that momentum going!
I don't weigh in for week 4 until Thursday, but I'm enjoying seeing these nice losses @shalvy2007 , @Kenyaa3 , @looneycatblue! You guys inspire me!
And I love that attitude @Kenyaa3! In the context of a challenge like this its easy to focus on numbers and percentages and lose sight of what it's all about: health and well-being. And for those things it's not about a time limit or a weigh-in, it's about perseverance and trust in the process. Thanks for bring us to reality!6 -

Today was the worst day since I quit smoking. Sitting in my office - where I have always smoked in the past - I couldn't get my mind of of it. Finally, I had to face it, I was going to have to choose smoking or snacking, at least for right now. I have no idea where that bag of walnuts came from but I eat the whole thing. I'm tired, skipping dinner and going to bed.

I need to plan ahead for dinner tonight, going out with a long-time friend for her birthday, and she chose Acapulco, Mexican food... need to take a look at the menu for some calorie friendly choices, and limit the chips!2

good idea @looneycatblue - way to plan ahead! I have faith you will find something that can work. I've also heard that eating a healthy meal beforehand can help a person stick to a small item (like a single taco) versus a whole platter. But that is theoretical, not experiential, knowledge for me
I have Acapulco restaurants where I live too. I wonder if they are the same chain.2 -

I am eating a nice big green salad with some turkey in it for lunch. I hope that this will keep me from eating the entire bowl of chips when I go for dinner tonight! I will most likely go over on my calories today, I want to enjoy dinner with my friend without fretting too much, just don't want to totally blow it!2

Only down 0.4 pounds since last Wednesday but I am surprisingly okay with that as yesterday I was 138.8 pounds so I am down 1.6 pounds since yesterday so thankfully I didn't have to post a gain for today.
Still need to lose 3.0 pounds to get back to my June 5th weight of 134.2 pounds.
It's taking forever as I just can't get myself to cook and eat healthy on a regular basis.4 -

The no sugar thing is paying off; I am back to school now and I am also focusing on not eating things in the teachers lounge-which means I need to pack enough healthy hearty food so I am not a hungry scavenger! So far I have avoided engagement bagels and lunch pizza and it feels SO GOOD to be in control of that. for anyone who is thinking about changing habits I highly recommend Better Than Before by Gretchen Rubin!4
