Call it frustrating, interesting, odd..whatever you want to call it is just fine. I cleaned my fridge out, got rid of so much junk in the house, switched up my dark chocolate almonds for some veggies and pnt butter (snackies), walked more (I'm avoiding the gym like the plague because there's a million people there right now and people drain me), and stayed at or under my calorie goals...and gained a pound! I realize that the body needs time to adjust and figure out what's going on when you make changes but I wanted to throw the scale right out the window.
I am sure things will change but the start out the gate is a little rough.

Everyone is welcome! Nobody is a weak link.
That's great, because I'm fairly sedentary (disabled), and my step count will be pathetically low lol. But I'll contribute!2 -

I’m so sorry, you can know that logically that this is just a normal weight fluctuations, and not actual weight gain given all you’ve been doing, but we are human and our feelings are not logical. I know this must be so frustrating for you! It sometimes feels like it takes a ton of effort for so littl loss and nothing for a gain.
You are doing all the right things, and if you keep doing those things you will lose. Let yourself feel what you feel, and then keep going!!4 -

Introducing myself- I've struggled with my weight all my life. Lately, it's been more of a struggle, probably due to my advanced age (50s). A few weeks ago, I was diagnosed with hypertension and I suspect my blood work will soon show I have prediabetes. It's time to get this show on the road and take care of myself! I'm not ready to be on meds every day and going to doctor visits- I've got some living to do!
Your energy and attitude is right where it needs to be to get ahead of this! So happy you joined this challenge! We are here to support you and cheer you on!cardio_enthusiast wrote: »Monday:

Tuesday Chevk In
Calories: under
Exercise: longest bike workout so far and on a difficult program. I was disappointed in myself yesterday for not getting in any exercise at all, so I made up for it today. I’m happy about this!
Water: 60+ oz, it’s getting easier for me to drink a lot again, but I still forget to track it as I go. Gotta work on that and move my way up toward 80 oz soon.
Tomorrow:
Stay in the green on calories
Exercise hard one last time before the baby comes on Thursday night/Friday.
Do something fun and/or relaxing. Not sure what yet.

Hi guys!!!!
Just stopping by to say hello. Y’all are off to a roaring start!
Glad to see this expansion team kicking pounds to the curb.3 -
Wednesday Check In
Calories: under
Exercise: did an elliptical workout during lunch. Plus got in a good outside walk after work.
Water: I have one more glass to go, but I’ll get there. In fact, getting for that water now!
Tomorrow:
Stay in the green on calories.
I wonder if I can do my bike exercise in the morning? I’m usually a little stiff early in the morning, but I might try it. Don’t think it’ll happen after work tomorrow so that may be my only shot.
Keep working on water intake.2 -
Hi everyone!
Feeling better- getting over my cold 😊
Calories: under
Steps: 2/7- 685
I thought my steps would have been more ...Oh well...
That’s even after a 20 minute run and 20 minute power walk...
I’m surprised because I move around a lot during the day so it’s surprising how little calories I burn from my movement...earned no additional calories today....yikes...1 -

Jenn, I'm thinking maybe your tracker isn't working or you left out a digit in your steps report. What do you think? Usually, I get about 2000 steps per mile just walking, and if you were running for 20 minutes you probably did more than a mile. You probably got in a mile during your 20 minute power walk. So you should have at least 4000 steps if not more.

Yeah... that’s what I thought too... I use and I watch and I selected the the phone/ I watch setting to calculate my calories and it always seems lower. That was the number it gave me or sent to my phone-it’s low...I even took my son for a haircut after work, then made dinner, and ended my night with that workout. For me to break 10,000 steps using my watch.... maybe it’s me very short legs!!! 😊 lol...
I have questioned this before because the info doesn’t seem right to me either...
I need to do more research on my I watch and how accurate it is.... it’s a bummer..1 -

Hi there, yes I would check that out. I have no problems with my Apple Watch tracking my steps, and those number seem very off. I would suggest checking your settings and make sure it’s assigned to the correct wrist.1 -
