    Slight increase, but I’m moving a lot more, eating a little bit less, and watching my portion sizes. I’ll get there. Happy February, and happy losing everybody!

    Thursday through Saturday I had some high calorie meals which were also loaded with salt. I am not surprised by the gain. This just reminds me that when I eventually go into maintenance mode, I will need to be very careful about practicing moderation for the rest of my life. Happy Sunday everyone!

    Thought From My Day: IF YOU DON'T MAKE TIME FOR YOUR WELLNESS, YOU WILL BE FORCED TO MAKE TIME FOR YOUR ILLNESS

    NOTE: this thought may seem harsh, but it was prompted by the prep required for my colonoscopy this week. It was inconvenient and forced me to eat opposite of my current healthy habits. During the 5-day prep, my weight weight went up 3 but this morning I was below weight when I started the prep. The test brought me peace of mind. All it takes is one family member or dear friend to suffer from colon cancer to teach the importance of being screened.

    Grilled chicken legs, chicken burgers, turkey sandwiches. We did lots of food prep this weekend!

    Homemade chicken noodle soup, turkey burgers, and spaghetti with vegetable noodles. For lunches I got low calorie spinach and herbs wraps and deli turkey and tuna creations packets. Hoping to stay under my calorie goal all week!

    Today: I got too hungry and thought I was gonna have "just a salad" for dinner instead of thinking about what my body was actually needing and trying to work with it.

    Just a heads up to the following Monday weighers, you guys missed last week and haven't checked in this week either, so if you don't post a weight by Saturday you won't be able to continue with us for the rest of the month!

    My challenge for this week was to eat fruit and vegetables from the rainbow. Here is what I've had this week to meet my goal.
    Red: tomatoes, strawberries
    Orange: carrots
    Yellow: squash
    Green: lettuce
    Blue/Purple: cabbage
    White: onion

    Day: Started off great by breaking into the 160's. Then, for lunch today we do a Survivor draft lunch pizza party at work. I ate way more than I should have. Just hoping I stay in the 160's in the morning.
