I'm on a roll this week I guess. Down another jeans size, wearing 44s today and they're pretty comfortable.5

I have followed my plan 15 days in a row! This is huge! Commitment to myself and my plan is extremely important to me.6

Back for more NSV fun
Last night, I got drunk for the first time in like 5 years. That's not a victory, but the fact that I didn't turn into a sweaty mess while drinking (when I normally get really overheated and sweaty) was amazing.
Secondly, and more importantly, today I decided that I felt confident enough to donate my 3x and 4x clothing to a local homeless shelter. I was very nervous about this beforehand, as I have lost weight and relapsed before -- lost 110 lbs and then gained it back and more between 2010 - 2018.
Even when I stumble now, I keep trying. I'm confident that I can keep moving forward, or at the very least, stay below 300 lb (and roughly at the size I am now).11 -
So many great stories here, very motivational.
Mine yesterday was playing badminton, for the first time in about 30yrs, and I was running around the court without getting out of breath.4 -
Yesterday, I got on my hands and knees and scrubbed my kitchen floor. I actually did it twice because I was trying to do a deep clean. Got up this morning and I’m not sore at all. That wouldn’t have happened a year ago.3

I haven't been around lately--the spring semester stated and I've not been keeping up with reading the boards here, but! today I'm wearing some brown corduroy pants that are size 16! down from 22/24.
I'm actually starting to feel comfortable wearing pants again. I'll keep up the dresses+leggings, but it's nice to have more options. and there are a couple more 16s I picked up at the thrift store that I'm excited to start rocking.7 -

You are doing great!...I have missed seeing you on here!1 -
It finally happened: After reading so many wonderful posts about going down a belt notch or dress size, I get to post one for me!
I went shopping for new slacks and my new ones do not have an elastic waist, they have a button band and zipper! But the kicker is that the jeans are an 18, no more 22/24Ws. Woot! Woot!6 -

Fantastic!
I get such a buzz when something new and smaller fits.3 -
I worked in a chocolate chip cookie from McDonald's into my budget today at 170 calories - I went for cottage cheese for breakfast instead of the grits I was going to have originally to do. However, when I got the package, I found they had given me 2 cookies instead of one I hate it when they do that!
So I ate the one I wanted and then set the other one aside for a later time, but it was calling to me. However, instead of caving in and eating it (I had calories for 1 cookie, not 2) I gave it to a co-worker instead!6 -
I've been focusing on habits. January's goal was to log everything daily and February's is to hit the Garmin specified step goal 4x/week. Logging is now routine and I've gone over the step goal for 10 of the last 14 days!
The weight isn't coming off like it should so I have to figure out what's going on there. But I figured if the habits are there, it'll only need minor tweaks to get going more in the right direction.6 -
I keep thinking nothing happening, but.. I have 2 pairs of trousers I have put tucks in the waistbands (just the elastic getting looser with age) 2 pairs that I used to be able to get into but cut me in half if I sit down that now I can now easily sit down in (they probaby streached in the wash) and my work reousers feel loose everywhere (again that darn washer) or.... I am finally seeing some none scale results5

At my doctor's visit yesterday, my doctor took me off all the medicines I take for high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Apparently, I don't have either condition anymore!12

I took advantage of the mild weather in my neck of the woods today and went on a walk. I also remembered to put my pedometer on this morning, and with the walk, I got over 6200 steps in today!5

I am so over the rain. It has rained and rained and rained in my area. We have a random day (typically during the week) with no rain but it's usually overcast. What I would give to have an entire sunny weekend. I don't care if its cold; I just need for it to be sunny!

I've recently moved offices and gone up a floor, including a spiral staircase.
To get to the loo now it's 2 flights of stairs and a long corridor.
I noticed today that when I got to the top of the stairs I wasn't out of breath, in fact I got collared by my boss and had a conversation with him without needing to catch my breath first.
This is a big improvement for me, a single staircase this time last year would result in a bit of panting, now I can run up a flight without even thinking about it.8 -
Last fall I found a pair of boots I really liked but I didnt buy yhem because I couldn't get them over my calves. Today those boots came home with me and at 30% off.7

let's see: I've consistently been able to up my activity level for the last 10 days except for yesterday, and that's because I was traveling most of the day yesterday. That means getting in 5,000 steps daily at the minimum. While that doesn't seem like a lot, I was getting in maybe around 2,000 a day because of my sedentary lifestyle and job, so this is double my normal before.
I also was out to eating a lot the last few days and will be again the next few. But I banked exercise calories and got yesterday pretty close, I think, and today, I estimated as best I could and think I'll slide right in under goal (if my guesses were right!) But I managed to get a 1/2 hour walk in today - with a few spurts of actual jogging! - so I think I've covered my day!5 -
I had asked for XL work shirts for Christmas and received several, none of which fit at the time. (I knew going into it that these would be clothes I'd need to "shrink into")
The first of them fit as of this morning and I'm wearing it to work today.

Ok...I thought your name was Murphy...duh!....hi Mike lol....and nice shirt, too!2

Ha, nope. Merph is an online name I've used since I was a kid, and it's the phonetic sound of my initials, MRF. And the 518 is our area code, so I'm just the merph from the Albany NY area 😉3

@merph518 I noticed your badge in the picture - nice way to do a before and after shot You've really made strides - congratulations!2

@merph518 This is a wonderful NSV - would you consider getting a new badge photo to celebrate? Your badge picture is definitely not the new you!2

I've been thinking about replacing my badge, but I think I'll wait until I get nearer to my final goal. They charge a $20 fee to replace it unfortunately.2

So occasionally at work I need to operate a forklift. Last summer at heaviest this was a chore. The seatbelt "barely" fit, the steering wheel didnt leave much room either. It was uncomfortable to operate, I would avoid it, try to find some reason to have someone else do it. For the first time in a couple months I jumped on it and was amazed. It was like the truck grew lol. No issues at all, whipping around like I used 20 years ago loading trucks in a warehouse. The little things 😋🤙9

I got in some more gym shorts today which I find sometimes weird to say because I have been wearing gym shorts for a long time and never going to the gym... what was I talking about? oh yeah.... They are too big on me. This sounds like a routine NSV but they are Large so I guess I am going to try some Medium ones which I can't quite wrap my head around. I assumed because I am large boned (yeah, I know but I really do have large bones) that a large was as low as I would go. I also didn't think my waist below my stomach was going to get any smaller.
Now I am curious to see what happens with my shirt sizes when I start progressing again. I believe that Large is as low I will go there but who knows.4 -
Congratulations both of you!
I was browsing in JCPenney this evening and saw a dress on sale that i liked. I thought I'd he daring and try on the 22W-and ended up getting into the 20W! It was just a little snug but the 22 was baggy. I know it's just the cut of this particular dress but it still felt amazing! And if things continue to progress as desired, that dress should fit even better at Easter5
