evangsimmons170 wrote: »@ells_runs Very impressive stepping. What did you do differently on Monday that got that really high step count? I need all the suggestions I can get.
@evangsimmons170 my family and I climbed local mountain 😊 it was 3 mile away so we also walked there. My Fitbit was charging in the morning and I only put it on before the walk in the afternoon otherwise the step count would be higher 😊 beautiful walk and the mountain was so steep! I really enjoyed it 😍6 -
@Terytha That cake looks delicious - what a great job. I've also put icing on while the cake was too warm - a mistake you tend to only make once.
@Gidgitgoescrazy Your library looks great - I really like the circular rug. And how lucky your moggie is to have such a comfy seat all to itself!
Yesterday was a good day too. I worked out in the morning and had quite a busy day in the house, and cooked for our "remote control dinner party". I made mustard and cheese stuffed chicken breasts - and it seemed to go down really well.
Steps for yesterday were 5656 and I also did a 33 minute workout (Heather Robertson W1D5, Full Body Circuit).
Sunday weigh in:
PW - 179.7
CW - 178.9
We've decided to go out on a little drive through the countryside this afternoon (just for a change of scene), and then when we get home, I plan to make a couple of extra face masks.
Happy Sunday, everyone!

@Terytha your cake looks lovely! My box cakes don't even turn out that nice when I try to layer them lol it always gets lopsided. Great job for a first time homemade cake!!
@ells_runs really great step count! Your low day is one of my high days lol. The mountain climb sounds like it would be so peaceful and great exercise too! Do you have any pictures? My friends and I had planned a trip to the mountains in North Carolina but had to cancel due to the 'rona 😣
@evangsimmons170 I too need to work on the step count. Started working in the office more the last 2 weeks and it is hard to get those steps in when much of the job requires sitting. One way I've found I get more steps is if I plan at least one non-sitting activity each day, even if it's just cleaning the house.
My sister in-law/good friend Kendra and I celebrated the first day of summer at the beach yesterday. It was fantastic 😊
I saw a lot more women wearing 2 piece bathing suits and the body positivity makes me happy. Last summer was the first time in my entire life that I wore a bikini-type swim suit, at first I was so nervous but now I just love it and feel great in it.
I did swim and we had to walk quite a bit to get to the water but my Fitbit didn't count any of it as exercise, I definitely feel tired though!
We look so happy in this picture! I'm on the left.

@jguldi11 Its been challenging to stay on track this weekend. Actually I had a couple alcohol drinks and blew my plan. BUT I am getting back to it again.
Otherwise, I started two weeks ago with 2 days of really low carbs (40g) and since then just haven't had any bread or pastas, make a point to choose salad over potatoes, no cookies or treats, and blended fruits instead of ice creams. Tracking my meals before I eat makes it much easier to stay on top of my goals. Chocolate fits into my plan (there is no world of mine that choc not be okay). It really wasn't too hard of a transition and my body feels much better.4 -

Well, team - we had another GREAT WEEK! I especially love that such a large percentage had losses - even tiny ones. Incremental steps - it works.
But we have to stop looking at @Terytha's cake. And look at the great changes @Steph1498 has made, and the great bathing suit being shown off with such happiness by @jguldi11 --- fabulous.
I made the most crazy amazing batch of sorbet today - we have these strange blue berries (NOT blueberries), and I mixed them with rhubarb and strawberries (I was out picking our tiny wild ones for ages yesterday), some mixed citrus zest, and some simple syrup. It is a deep, deep purple colour and tastes like heaven. If you like slightly bitter and sour in your heaven! But still sweet and fruity at the same time. It will be lovely to cool off with some of that this evening8 -
Sorry to be easily confused - @YinxFed - I see your steps for Thursday, but the exercise minutes (if it was not your day off) are mixed in and hard to find. I assume it was 30 minutes of your program, but I cannot tell if that was also for Thursday or not...
It would be great if you would not mind - always mark the DAY, STEPS, MINUTES clearly near the top of your messages so they are easy to find and review. That would be great! Especially the day - sometimes it just says today or yesterday, so my tired brain gets its wires crossed. Thanks! It is fine to post a couple of days at once, just so long as I can see which day is what. Sometimes I do a batch of them at once by searching for one person's messages, and having all weigh-ins, steps, and exercise minutes right at the top of the message makes it a breeze.
thanks!2 -

No need to apologise! I need to be more clear. 🙂

Steps for
6/20 - 10,107 + 20 min pilates
6/21 = 3752 + 120 Min of kayaking ... So I had this brilliant idea of lets paddle across this channel and go see whats on that side... Well lets just say it was ALOT farther than it looked, but we made it, and I explored while the hubby fished, I found some neat coves, that wound around in circles, saw lots of wildlife, was having a nice time spacing out and relaxing until a fish decided to jump right next to me, or a bird took off and squawked at me and almost made me jump outta the kayak, they got me every single time too, you just aren't ready for it... Got too close to an ospreys nest and really got squawked at... it was a fun day.. till we decided to head back... the tide decided to change, and the wind picked up, and we were going against both of em... It was tough to move my arms the rest of the day... LOL, but I'll do it again in a heartbeat...

@eponymoose - it would be great to have your step update too, and then all the blanks will be filled with lovely numbers
How are everyone's numbers doing? Whatever you're tracking, from calories in/out, to water to, to blood pressure, carbs, cholesterol, hours of sleep - how's it going?

@jugar, well because you asked...I still look at my nutrients at the end of the day and almost always my potassium and iron is only a 1/3 to a 1/2 of the recommended. I'm still trying to work on that. Added potatoes to my breakfast - I try not to have a lot of banana with the sugar but half of one cut up in my oatmeal then cooked is good (banana goes through a very tasty transformation when cooked- even in the microwave)
Your sorbet sounds delicious. I was just reminded of a watermelon/feta/mint salad that I like occasionally thru the summer- seems an odd mix but works surprisingly well.

I'm back at work and I don't wanna be. 98 emails... -_-
Hope everyone is having a good Monday.4 -
Hi and happy Monday!
We had a busy weekend. Saturday we cleaned up the beach at my husband's aunt and uncle's lake cabin. The kids tested out the water but it was pretty cold. We had a nice father's day and I used it as a rest day for myself.
I have been getting some of my craft stuff out lately. When I first started loosing weight I gave up all my sitting hobbies so I could build some new habits and get my exercise on track. I'm feeling ready to add some back in. I use to quilt, sew handbags, costumes and clothing. I also knit a little and I occasionally paint. I have my sewing machine out now and I started practicing my knitting. Kind of fun to do it again.
@jguldi11 Love the swimsuit picture. Extended size bikinis have come a long way. I love bikinis and have a ton of them. My favorite bikinis are from Ashley Graham and Gabifresh. Its always fun see what each collection will have each year because they change a lot. It is the worst when I am so in love with one of the lines because I can't buy all of them.4 -

@Gidgitgoescrazy it’s fun to read your stories about kayaking! Makes me feel like I’m there - but without the sore arms!! 😁1
