What a lot of LOSERS you all are!!! It brings me great joy to see so many of our members hitting their goals, members losing and others hanging in there. In 2 years that I have been posting this is the most success that I have seen. Congratulations everyone!!!5

Hi all,
I'm super behind so won't reply to individual posts - but am seeing some awesome losses going on so huge congrats to you all
I'm doing a bit better. Still higher than I want to be on the scales but trying to refocus and get back into my better routines. The therapy has been good but quite intense and focusing on that has kinda zapped my motivation for other things. I managed my online zumba class this morning and have some healthier things in the fridge for dinner. I can do this!5 -
@podperson1 So happy to hear you sounding so optimistic. You will round the corner when you’re ready and that looks to be very soon. ❤️3

Yes! I wasn't sure if my weight would go down because I'm at the very end of TOM. But yay, closer to the 150s!!7 -
Friday check in
Food - on target
Water - 1.8l
Exercise - 30 min walk
Another nice day yesterday and I actually got some work done in my office in the afternoon. We had a family dinner last night and watched old episodes of Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. Since we could not travel this month, it was a nice substitute, and the kids were really interested too.
@Zumba_Luvah - Fantastic loss, wtg! You are going to see the 150’s very soon!
@podperson1 - You are doing great, and yes absolutely, you can do this and you are! Therapy can be draining, but it is kind of like fatigue or soreness after exercise, and you feel so much better on the other side it. Keep going and we are here for you when you need us.
@mrsbell8well - We are champion “losers”, be it weight, thoughts, habits etc. I have been here around 1.5 years (with a few months off), and I love how this is a place where we can share out ups and downs, vent, laugh and most importantly, support each other.
@brown6267 - Fantastic maintain! You are doing great and are my role model for when I get to goal!
@lenka1 - Yup, we have bonus days in July, so we have week 5. So get ready to lose some more!
@tryingagain5 - Another great day! I know it can be hard to motivate ourselves at home. You trainer sounds so great as well. One thought is maybe make your work out a little commitment program. Like post a program on your wall for your workouts that week and check them off as you complete each one. Then give yourself a reward at the end. It does not have to be food, but anything that is rewarding for you.
@lennoncpa - That gain is under a pound and not much. We have not heard from you much lately. I hope that your stressful time at work is over, and that you are doing well!
@1theresamcvean - Your grandchild is so adorable! I forgot how messy meal time can be at that age!

Congratulations to @KUMEcyclingteam!
35 lbs lost and so many amazing NSVs! You look great in that photo and so happy! I looked back at your weight entries through months of spreadsheets. You worked so diligently, and in a very steady manner, lost weight. We know it was not easy, particularly because you had to care for you mom, as well as working nights. You should be so proud of yourself! We are very happy for you!
Theresa already made arrangements to get you moved to cheer next month, but don’t be a stranger here. Also, after you have had a break, you are welcome to join the goal zone to assist with maintaining.5 -

These are the words I mutter to myself at midnight when I get home from work and stare into the freezer at those delicious Ice Cream Sandwiches.......I count to ten and grab a small handful of almonds instead. I have triggers, like we all do, getting past those triggers is my road to the promised land of health.
A co-worker today asked me if I was loosing weight, she said my face looks thinner........
I kinda see it but I look at my face every day, just didn't realize. I do know this tho, the difference between 250 and 215. I can tie my shoes with little effort now, I've packed most of my 38 pants and am now wearing my 36s, My Mother thinks I'm skipping meals (LOL). I feel smaller and faster on my bikes. I've been tucking my shirts in now for a few weeks, AND, I can put on my underwear without loosing my balance!!! This is a whole lot of NSV for me to take all at once. You guys have kept me on track where I may have reverted back to old habits without the friendly pressure of the group! (Pressure that I alone create for wanting to be successful and a role model) and for that I thank each and every one of you, Thank you!
I plan on finishing out the month, and then I would like to request being put on to the Cheer leading squad so that I may enjoy a month of maintenance.
This be me on Tuesday at 215 lbs !
And yes that's an Ice Coffee, maybe a little bit of Kahlua in there as well! lol
I'm all emotional about this, for real, no joke!!
If it doesn't challenge you, than it won't change you!
Rock on team, Much Love!
Wow thanks for the great post3 -
My husband smoked chicken and ribs tonight. I wanted to eat some ribs but stuck with my chicken (no skin) and veggies, and also indulged in one roll but it was about half the calories of one rib. I can’t wait to get to my goal weight so I can increase my daily calories and eat things like ribs, even if only in small quantities.5

Hello all -
I am done in! We went to Uxbridge today for Pippa’s 3rd birthday party. The menu was gluten free, which may have been helpful in keeping calories to some moderate level. Luckily it was one of my two ‘eat up’ days of the week.
Lots of activity too. After the cake we went for a long hike ~ Uxbridge being the hiking capital of Canada. I pushed the double stroller a good amount of the time so my footsteps weren’t tracked (Fitbit depends on swinging arms). The children wanted to be held a lot. They’ve gotten quite heavy - the one year old is about 28 lbs.
I couldn’t resist joining in at the park, as they just opened up the swings and slides a couple of days ago and my counterpart, DIL’s mother, is quite active that way (she swims across the lake at their cottage daily). My son pushed me on the swing and did an underdog twice which had me going perilously high. I went down the slide three times too.
You’ve never seen people so happy to have the park amenities opened back up. I went over to the water fountain and pushed the button just to see the water spout out of it. What amazing times to realize the things we take for granted.
It was our entire circle of 10, including Wendy, who remains stranded in Canada. She had such a great day. Her biggest takeaway was the freedom she felt not having to wear a mask. She fell asleep on the drive home just like a child. (FYI, for those who don’t know, Wendy is an international college student from Vietnam who lives with me and was supposed to go home at the end of the academic year.)
BYW, the baby in my pics yesterday is my grandson, Gilbert.
I’ll catch up with your posts tomorrow.4 -
@1theresamcvean, underdogs. Awesome! I still love swinging and I’m nearly 50. You’re never too old to swing.2

I've been on low carbs IF for almost 1 year. My body got used to fasting, caloric deficit and burning fat for fuel. This week I had lots of carbs (mostly fruits, but also some bread and sweets). I left my eating windows open for longer than usual, 16:8 ( because carbs trigger insulin and insulin makes you hungry and I HATE being hungry). I did not plan this to happen, but I also did not fight it. It's fruit season
So instead of being bummed about my gain I will not be , because I know for a fact that this is not a 2.7lbs of fat gain.
Here is what actually happened: most of the gain is water - when being on caloric deficit for extended period of time glycogen storage gets depleted. When eating at maintenance or even caloric surplus( I don't count calories, so I don't know) the glycogen gets stored back and because each glycogen molecule stores with several molecules of water - results in a couple lbs gain.
Starting tomorrow I am back on 20:4, low carbs and maybe I will add some HIIT to my weekly routine.
Sorry if I drag team's numbers down this week

@KUMEcyclingteam wow! What an inspiring post and great loss! Congratulations and looking good!!!!!
@1theresamcvean I'm so glad you had a great day and your grandson is ADORABLE!
@hope002 you're right, sudden gains like that are not fat, and you should let yourself enjoy food once in a while.
Y'all, sorry I've been absent. Haven't been feeling very well because of TOM and allergies, but we've also been having some family stress. Basically, I've been staying still, quiet, and grounded and just conserving all my energy for family stuff. I think it's good to remember that health takes many forms, and just because I'm not crushing daily workouts doesn't mean I'm not taking care of myself the way I need to be.
Still good weight wise... was I supposed to weigh in for goal zone?
I was 133 this week, down 2lbs.
Everybody keep being awesome! I'll see you tomorrow!

Saturday 7/25
Food: over
Water: 64 oz
Exercise: 25 minutes medium/high intensity
I didn't do much with my morning. Laundry while I exercised, read a few chapters of my book for book club, then got sleepy so I took a nap.
My family got together for supper at my sister's house. My oldest nephew and his wife were in town. it was really nice seeing them since it was Thanksgiving the last time they were here. Most of my family was there so it was nice getting together.
We were all entertained by my almost 9 month old niece. She's so much fun to watch. She's growing so fast!
My brother-in-law grilled burgers and there was potato salad, homemade applesauce and lots of other food. We always say if you leave this house hungry, it's your own fault.🤣4 -
Hi all,
@KUMEcyclingteam - wow, huge congrats and such an inspiration. Looking fab
@1theresamcvean - thank you for the kind words, hopefully shall get there in the end. Your grandbaby is just adorable Sounds like you had fun at the park, I agree, swinging is always fun lol!
@Zumba_Luvah - great loss, congrats!
@Cafelelia - thank you for the support. Yes, the therapy is very draining but I am surprised to see some small improvements already so fingers crossed it will be worth it in the long term. Glad you're still managing to get some family time in
@hope002 - I'm loving your positive attitude, as you say it's not 'fat gain' so am sure you'll be back down again next week
@GingerPwr - congrats on the loss! Hope your stress eases up soon, and yup, self care and health takes many forms so just focus on what you need at the moment x
Yesterday was a pretty good day. Kept under my calories and been chatting to some friends online, which is nice. I'm also trying to make more time for 'me things' and have been getting back to doing some painting this week - I'm very out of practice but enjoying it

Hello everyone! Hope you’re enjoying your weekend! It is extremely hot & humid here!🥵🥵
I’m feeling good! I’m so focused & sticking to plan! Almost back to the 150’s, I can’t believe it! Been working out consistently. It is not easy, but definitely worth it!
Have a great day!😊3 -
Saturday check in
Food - on target
Water - 2.2l
Exercise - rest day
Nice day yesterday and lately, I am trying to make weekends really be weekends for me and the family. We are back to the heatwave this weekend. I just took a walk and with the humidex, it was 100 F. So I cut the distance in half and will walk again much later tonight.
@ljdanny - Thanks for the steps and hope that you are doing well.
@podperson1 - Glad that you had a good day yesterday. Going back to a hobby like painting sounds wonderful.
@tryingagain5 - That is so nice that you were able to spend time with your family!
@GingerPwr - Fantastic loss and staying in your goal zone! Family stress is really tough. I have been having some lately too. I love you insight about what self-care looks like. It takes many, many forms, and the important thing is to keep practicing it in whatever way works for you.
@annliz23 - Nice maintain and very, impressive steps!
@kirsten11872 - Fantastic loss!
@1theresamcvean - What a wonderful day! Days like that are just so good for the soul. I hope that it helped Wendy too. It cannot be easy being here and not being able to travel home).
@KristieJC - Great way to choose you meal! I know it can be tough not eating everything that is in front of you. You are doing great! My husband is smoking brisket and a pork shoulder right now. I am a vegetarian, so I don’t eat it anyway. But the rub that he made sure smells yummy!
@hope002 - I love your perspective and attitude towards that gain! And please never worry about the team stats as we all have our ups and downs.

😲 Whoa!! 0.6lb gain last week, well I lost that...And MORE!! Lol. Amazing!! 😁
Well, I'm happy about the weight loss, but not sure I'm doing too great...🥺 I haven't been eating too well or sleeping right...I'm HIGHLY addicted to my phone more than I've ever been. I stayed awake for 32 hours and the MAJORITY of that time was spent ON my phone...My fingers and hands are in pain most of the time because of this and now my whole left arm starts to hurt a lot, through my elbow and into my shoulder even. Yesterday I had 8 panic attacks, cried, a lot of hyperventilating, my head and face would get so tight and dizzy that I was close to passing out several times and my BP was 150/99. After all that, I still couldn't sleep until 2-3am!! You'd think I would have passed out a lot earlier than that because of all the panic attacks! Ugh! So today, my sciatic nerve is acting up A LOT! My lower back and legs are hurting bad and right now the pain is bad even in my butt, throbbing so bad. *SIGH* Hmmm, think this is all I had for my update on how I've been...Oh, I see my new Psychiatrist in a few days, I believe on the 29th, I've talked to her before so I do know her, but she will be my new full time Psychiatrist. 😋6 -
Great week everyone and we had a lot of team milestones to celebrate!
@tryingagin5 is in onederland, @freeglerock is below 175, and I (finally) hit below 150!
@KUMEcyclingteam hit goal!
Congratulations to our top “losers” this week:
1. @bburrer30
2. @KUMEcyclingteam
3. @Cafelelia
Congratulations to @bburrer30 for coming in FIRST in the F2F Week 4 Challenge with the most lbs and % lost! Amazing!
@KUMEcyclingteam and I also made the F2F honorable mentions.
We were pretty much even this week re losses/gains, but remember that as a team this month so far, we lost 35 lbs and we have one week to go!
Let’s make Week 5 a great week!5 -

Weigh in week 5
Weigh in day Sunday
PW 250.2 (113.5 kg)
CW 251.9 (114.3 kg)
High sodium on Friday and Saturday leads to high weight on Sunday. I'm not writing off July but it hasn't been a great month pain-wise and medication wise. But then I haven't tracked precisely every day either, and there has been cake and chocolate. I'm happy if I can sit around the same weight with some intuitive eating, so long as I get back to logging without losing the plot completely. And I am logging accurately again now.5 -
