Check in for Friday
Food-not logged, probably over but not bad
Water-64oz
Exercise-none
Could have done better but not too bad yesterday. I stuck to my plan for the most part but ended up not having dinner because we had snacks in the afternoon. Then was hungry later, had too much cereal...I wish I just went to bed. It is kinda a crappy day today. We are getting ready to go to "breakfast" that will be my lunch. Daisy is sick too. I have been up since 4 am with her. I am a little afraid to leave her for too long. I did take a 30 min walk already today. I am hoping to do that at least one more time. I would like to do something else too but we will see how the day goes.
Next week I am going home Monday-Wednesday. I have a vet and a groomer appointment for Daisy. I also want to clean the house that hasn't had a good cleaning in about 3 weeks now. I really want next week to be a really good week. It will just be me at the shore, at home I am not "entertaining" so I should still be able to focus on me. I am actually going to plan dinners just for me and if they aren't interested, they can be on their own. This may be what happens when I get home for good too. I need to develop better habits if my family is with me or not.
Got to run! Hope everyone has a good weekend!
@Melzz19 Sounds like you have a good plan for next week. Enjoy your friend's visit!
@Mrsbell8well I have never even heard of watermelon radishes-they are cute! The salad looks delicious. Hope the rest of your day and your doctor's appointment went well.
@kirsten11872 Hope your hair turns out the way you want it. Whenever I am ready for a change, I chicken out Lol! I also hope you decide to do a date night this weekend. I am sure your husband doesn't get off from both jobs very often. Enjoy whatever you end up doing.
@timibotkin Nice loss! What a great week you had! Dinners are rough when it is only for you. Would your husband eat something that you can have too? I am going to have my first week of cooking for myself this coming week (well, starting Wed). I was pretty good cooking for the two of us. I got a little george forman grill for outside and it made it a easier than using the big grill. I am making a menu for next week and forcing myself to cook lol! I am happy that your six month visit went well at the oncologist too. Hugs! Good luck this last week of work before some well deserved time off!
@melaniedscott I was thinking the same thing with the radishes Lol! I wish I liked them too.
@hope002 Another amazing loss! Hope all is going well!
@1theresamcvean I agree with Casey, no need to apologize. You are right, what a time we are living in. Hugs!
@GingerPwr I saw a gif this week that made me think of you. I wish I knew how to repost. It was captioned an actual teacher at work this week and the video was of a person on the wipeout course. I thought of you immediately. You must be in good company. Hang in there. Sending hugs.
@goingape Awesome loss! What do you think is up with your hair? Are you stressed? Maybe something hormonal? Hugs!
@Zumba_Luvah Hello 150s! Congratulations on this big milestone for you! xo

Hello & happy Saturday!😊
I’m feeling great, down over 2 pounds & getting so close to goal! I’m able to wear clothes that have not fit in so long!
Sitting at the salon right now getting my highlights done. Nothing too crazy!
@Mrsbell8well thanks! I feel great! Your food always looks amazing!😋
@sleepymom5 trying to figure out where to go with the hubby tonight. 😊
Have a great weekend! 😁🌼2 -
Thanks for all the doll compliments. Made the adorable fairy wings today. Will post a picture at some point. Skylynn my 10 year old granddaughter is with us this weekend and enjoying Summer Sky.
I have 7 more pieces I am sewing for her.
My goal is to be done by September 15th then start Autumn Amber. I was at Walmart yesterday. They just got their fall fabrics in. I was able to get beautiful fabrics at much cheaper than I paid at fabric store. When I went to check out they were also discounted!
Started my 12 week walking program this morning with Skylynn and Lula Mae. First day is only 15 minutes. Week 12 ends with an hour. I made it to week 6 in April before ending in back troubles. Lula Mae and I have actually completed it once before. I have to say I am so happy to be back doing yoga.
Slept great. Helped to have carbs last night.
Started the day with a huge green protein smoothie. I needed it. Making zoodles and a raw sun dried tomato sauce for lunch. Potatoes, broccoli and curry kraut for dinner.
Have a great weekend everyone. Off to do yoga.2 -
Forgot to add in my LTD in my post. Im down 43 pounds so far6

Hi all,
@Cafelelia - glad you're enjoying your vacation, love the progress pics!
@GingerPwr - I can't even imagine how stressful your profession is at the moment, take care of yourself x
@lennoncpa - hope you have a lovely birthday, and get lots of Sunny hugs!
@Mrsbell8well - Summer Sky is just adorable - you are super talented and what a lovely idea to do the seasons. My great-aunt made me a crochet doll of my grandad (complete with his glass and sweater vest) when I was little and I still have it. It now reminds me of them both Have never seen watermelon radishes before - they are so cute. Sadly I hate both radishes and watermelon so perhaps not for me taste-wise lol.
@nstephenson01 - woot, congrats on making the 160s! I'm the same way with temptations, sometimes I just have to avoid them completely if I want to stay on track lol.
@kirsten11872 - yay for being back in your jeans - looking fab
@1theresamcvean - don't be sorry for priortising your own needs and your family, as my therapist tells me, we can't support others unless we first look after ourselves (it's a lesson in progress for me, and I suspect for you too lol). I hope your mum and sister are ok, it's hard being so far away from family at the moment
@Zumba_Luvah - woot, congrats for making the 150s, doing great
@sleepymom5 - hope both you and Daisy are feeling better soon x
Been an ok week, my sleep pattern is still a bit messed up which isn't helping my motivation. Braved the city centre for a medical appointment on Friday, was a little frustrating to see so people not bothering with masks or distancing but at least the rainy weather made it quieter than it is normally is. Managed to pop into a wee book store to get a couple of new notebooks and sketchbooks, so I guess I got something halfway fun out of it Had a wee drink and a catch up with the flatmate last night as well, so that was nice. One of his close friends is coming over tomorrow as it's her birthday and we're going to do socially distanced drinks outside. I will admit I'm not her biggest fan but her family lives quite far away so I couldn't really say no when it'd mean her spending her bday on her own. I'm sure it will be fine.
Food has been ok this week. As I said, gave in to pizza on Tues (and then had leftovers on Wed lol) but have been good the rest of the week and scales seem to be heading back down at least. Still doing rubbish on the exercise. I was supposed to do the zoom zumba class this morning but it's early and after poor sleep all week I maaaay have snoozed right through it (oops!). I am feeling a lot better for the sleep though so shall maybe do a video later on.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend x5 -
It has been one year since I became co-captain of this amazing team. With the uncertainty of the pandemic, particularly with the schools, the time has come for me to step down. I love this team and it was not an easy decision, but it is the right one for me and my family right now. I am staying on as an active team member and I will continue to post daily. I am getting closer to goal and am so determined to get there soon. I cannot wait to celebrate with all of you!
I want to thank each and every one of you for your support, encouragement and friendship. I have been so inspired by all of you!
I wanted to thank my incredible co-captain and fellow awesome Torontonian, @1theresamcvean! Theresa has brought such amazing energy to the team and I am looking forward to being a team member under her capable leadership! A special shout out to @sleepymom5, who was also my co-captain during much of my time as captain. Thank you for your warmth and positivity!
I am delighted to announce that @minstrelofsarcasm has agreed to be a co-captain with Theresa. Ashley is an inspiring woman as you all know, and she is such a great writer! With her energy, humour and enthusiasm, she is going to be an amazing leader! Please join me in congratulating Ashley!
Sending a big, virtual group hug to all of you!10 -

Weigh in week 4
PW 254.6 (115.4 kg)
CW 253.9 (115.2 kg)
My weight is still staying high after the creatine loading. I've been in a calorie deficit and consistently exercising six days per week with spinning and lifting so I'm not worried. It will drop when it drops.
Meanwhile I fit into my Wonder Woman sports bra again (it was snug when I bought it, then got too small. Now it's almost too big!) and I am making consistent gains in lifting without triggering pain or migraine. I realised yesterday that I almost don't care what my weight is doing, I just want to be able to keep working out, and I want to be strong again. I want my muscles back!6 -

Sorry to have gone AWOL for a couple of weeks. Both weigh in above I have not yet recorded with you guys. First week slight loss. Unfortunately towards the end of that week my phone died. Lived without phone for about a week - was very strange! But one of the downsides was that I was without things like this community (and my laptop version kept glitching), my garmin app, my withing scales app, libra and Les Mills workout app. Needless to say, looks as if I depend on technology to keep me going and motivated. Having fallen from the wagon, getting a new phone has yet to get me back on. I have gained a few more pounds since Wednesday (not helped by more salt that usual!).
But.....
As of today, I am back. Think I needed a couple of weeks off, but from today I am back tracking and exercising. Although I was off the wagon, I did not totally revert to old ways, so that is encouraging. Hoping by being back now, I may be able to have an OK weigh in on Wednesday, but we'll see!5 -

much better this week, I am back under my "magic number"
It has been a busy 2 weeks for me. Lots of church work, we are not back in the sanctuary yet so I am posting on Facebook to keep our congregation engaged. Daily prayer, M-F bible study daily sing a long, daily lectionary. I am also board chairman trying to keep things going without meeting since March. I am getting pretty good with google forms but would love to meet with the board. Most are old (like me) and will not even try zoom or facebook video messenger. Sounds like this pandemic is getting us all down. I did have 4 friends over Tuesday: outside under the magnolia tree in the shade with a little breeze, spaced 10 feet apart. I made homemade pimento cheese sandwiches, chips, grapes and chocolate cake (my mama's recipe)
We had a nice visit and it really lifted our spirits. Wednesday I rode 31/2 house to see my sister and her husband. We had not seen each other since Christmas. Again, a very quick visit, only stayed about an hour and came back home. Even with 7 hours in a car I got my steps in!!!! This was a good week!
I have been reading the posts.
@1theresamcvean my heart goes out to you, your mom and sister. Prayers for all of you. I sure hope a vaccine is developed soon and life gets back to normal. I will not accept this as our new normal.
@GingerPwr I taught school and the last 10 or so years I have been a middle school substitute every day until they closed in March. I miss it! I baked 2 cakes (I bake when I am bored) and took them to school Monday. The admin and most teachers were actually on campus that day. Hang in there, I am seeing that school will be much better this fall than it was last year.
@brown6267 I am loving the walking challenge, keeps us going! Congrats on being at maintenance , I am also at maintenance weight.
@annliz23 Your dolls are certainly works of art, great job!
@Zumba_Luvah congratulations on being back in the 50's
@goingape congrats on your loss, hope your phone finds your fitbit, that is so frustrating. I have to power off my phone then the fitbit versa - when phone comes back on it usually finds my fitbit. Good luck with it. hair loss could be Thyroid, make sure they test for that whenever you get blood work again. I had the same issue.
@timibotkin ask yourself "am I eating because I am hungry" it helped me to lose a lot of weight. I was eating because it was a certain time of day, others were, eating, stress and boredom. You can do this!
@jugar WOW, week 4 already, good luck with the challenges
@sleepymom5 hang in there, being away from home does change things a bit! Good luck with Daisy and the house cleaning.
@kirsten11872 Victory, wearing cloths that were once too tight congrats.
@Cafelelia one year as captain, I have only been here a few weeks. I am sure the team will miss your leadership and support. I look forward to getting to know you better. Glad you are staying on as a member.
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx nixRe WINS: clothes fitting, working out, getting stronger - all wins, congrats!
@Freeglerock We all do depend on technology, I am lost without my phone. Your story tells me I need to back up some information stored there. You are back and you will succeed!
@podperson1 sounds like you have found a way to carry on with the social distancing and masks. I get frustrated when I see people without one on. Some have medical reasons but many around here just will not do it! Enjoy your activities!
HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEK AHEAD!

@Cafelelia thank you so much for all your hard work this last year. You have been a wonderful captain! I appreciate all the love and support. Good luck on your continued journey. I’m happy that you are taking the time you need to focus on your current changing situation. Glad your staying with us Lisa. Let’s go get our goals. I was so impressed how well you did on vacation!
@goingape I too lost hair during one of my weight loss stages. Fortunately it stopped. Good luck.
@sleepymom5 hope Daisy is feeling better.
@lennoncpa happy birthday! Glad your son and Sunny could come to visit.
@Zumba_Luvah congratulations for being in the 50’s! What an accomplishment!!! You have really made progress.
@1theresamcvean these are such challenging times. I don’t know how you do it all. Hang in there.2 -
Another good night of sleep. It definitely helps to have a cooked meal. I melted a teaspoon of coconut oil and used a pastry brush to dap it on my broccoli and potatoes before roasting. Came out great. I found a new kraut from the Cleveland company. So fresh and super delicious!
So I am finding that it is very difficult to over eat raw foods. I can eat only so much fruit and vegetables. But there is still something missing. I feel great joy eating fresh watermelon, mangoes and figs but otherwise it can be a bit boring. I was missing fats, grains and cooked food. Food is such a big part of my happiness. Trying to find that balance. Today I add brown jasmine rice with curried garbanzos for dinner.
Last night we watched peanut butter falcon. I highly recommend it.
But drat halfway through Skylynn and I I had to stop and eat a spoon of peanut butter with a few chocolate chips.
I’m really feeling my muscles from yoga.
Going to knock it out early this morning. And a 20 minute walk.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone.2 -

@Cafelelia - So glad you're still going to be around for the team, Lisa! Love having your positive and supportive energy here!
I'm so excited to step up into this role, partially because I believe it will motivate me to stay on track and hold myself accountable for my actions, and partially because I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you better. I'll start sending out friend requests to those of you I'm not currently connected with sometime this week - you're welcome to not accept the request, but my feelings may end up hurt in the process.
As for my check-in for today: I'm using it as a rest day. I took a short walk to the pharmacy to pick up a few essentials, but decided to spend most of the day letting my muscles rest before getting back to it tomorrow morning, bright and early. And while I may have stopped to get a latte on my walk back, I used cinnamon instead of sugar to sweeten it, so I like to think I'm still on top of my food game for the day. (Fun Fact: Cinnamon and some other spices activate your metabolism and often lead to more calories burned after consumption!)4 -

Well, this makes me feel bad, but not horrible because I WAS expecting a bad weigh in! This week was AWFUL! I had A LOT of junk and more sweets than I've had in a long time...*Sigh* I WILL turn this week around, do better and have a loss next weigh in! Also, I think I'd like to remain on the support/cheer team for September and hope I to come back on the actual team in October! Just want to see myself make more improvement before hopping back!
Love you guys! 🥰7 -

Happy birthday! Aww, kisses from your grand puppy! Such a great gift!1 -
I haven't been on much this past month. Can't believe it's been that long. Definitely time to get back. I'm sure I've missed a lot!
I've gained 23 pounds since March.😥 Was all my own fault. Too much food and not much exercise. It's time to turn that around. It took me 2 years to lose the 50 pounds I had lost. I sure don't want to gain that all back.
The gyms in my area (West Michigan) are still closed, which doesn't make sense since the Governor allowed them to open from Traverse City north into the Upper Peninsula in early June. Also, the cases have been low in my county and the surrounding counties. Several gyms around here have gone out of business because they've been closed since March. I really hope they open soon. I haven't had the motivation to workout at home. There's no reason I can't except for the lack of motivation. Since I don't have equipment at home I would basically be doing bodyweight/cardio type exercises. Some gyms have been open in lower Michigan against the EO. Most of them are smaller gyms. My gym is part of a franchise so they can't do that or they would have a lot of legal issues.
Also, work has been really busy. We've been given the ok to work up to 19 hours OT if we choose to. I've done 14 but that's enough.
Time for me to go into work now. Hope everyone has a good night!

Tomorrow Lisa, @Cafelelia, will transition back to team member after helping us succeed for the past year. What an intelligent, accessible, down-to-earth, and beautifully real woman Lisa is. As we approach Labour Day, which for me has always been more significant in terms of goal setting and starting fresh, let's wish Lisa luck as she embarks on another school year with her two boys and a pivot in her law practice with the world in the grips of Covid.
Moves like this make our team vibrant and successful. Just as we all ebb and flow, lose weight and gain confidence, shed old habits and learn new tactics, our team gains strength.
As Lisa steps back a bit to re-join us as a team member, Ashley @minstrelofsarcasm, steps up to take her place as co-captain together with me. I am really pleased that Ashley accepted this challenge. She brings so much to the table. She's young and savvy, resilient and intelligent, an outstanding communicator, and a natural leader. And she doesn't live in Toronto.
It's an exciting new day tomorrow for each of these women, and for us as a team as we work toward our goals.
Hugs all around!
