Glad your covid test was negative and that you are feeling better! You're welcome, I try to remember but can't always remember.🙄

Got my Apple Watch, so much to learn! I can get mfp data to go into the Apple Health app, but I can’t get the step info to go from the Health app into mfp. 🤨 I’m sure when my son gets home he can figure it out! Lol.

I tried the chocolate hummus, it’s pretty good. One of my old snack habits was Nutella and pretzel thins (which I have avoided for 3 months!) and this is a pretty good substitute.

Wow, you guys are so great. I just don’t have the time to respond individually, but I am reading through all posts a bit at a time through the day. My To Do list is sooo long this weekend! Hope all of you have a great weekend!

    Food: good
    Water: 40 oz
    Exercise: 10 minute short walk

After work I slept for about an hour and a half and then called my doctor's office. I've been having an issue with my feet and lower legs being cold all the time. My nurse friends told me not to wait to long to get checked out. They're thinking it may be a vascular type issue.

I'm being squeezed in next week with one of the PA's. I haven't seen this PA before but I'm sure she will be fine.

I went to the library for a while and stopped by my chiropractor to see if they could fit me in next week. They told me if I could wait a few minutes they could squeeze me in. Wasn't expecting that. He definitely could tell I needed an adjustment. Back is feeling ok and hopefully will continue to feel good.

I had a mammogram on Monday and got a letter that I need to go back for some more images. I've never had to do that before so it concerns me a little. The tech who took the images was different than the last few times so I do wonder if she didn't get good enough pictures. I do have a cyst on one breast that's been there for years and was checked out by a surgeon in 2012 who said it was nothing to worry about unless it got bigger. I have to call to make an appointment. Hopefully it's nothing.

I spent the rest of my evening sitting outside with my nurse friends since I didn't have to work last night. It was nice sitting with them instead of waving as I go to work.

Figured it out, all on my own, didn’t even need a teenager! 😂

@debbiewsharpe i think you sound more like a building undergoing renovations! With the cataract surgery you will see colors you haven’t seen in years. And it sounds like everything else is under observation. So hey - you’re doing great! I look forward to seeing your recipe and I’m excited that it freezes well since I live alone. That will be perfect!

Oh to be 141 pounds! That's probably around where I should be too. Also a short person here. Depending on who measures me at the doctor's office I'm either 5'1 or 5'2. I'm a long way from that but working my way to it.😊

I get really behind on posts too and most of the time end up just reading the ones on the page that is the most current. So nice that we all feel so comfortable posting through out the day. I'm also inspired by everyone else.

I don't have kids but I do believe in person school is better for them. Seeing their teachers and friends has to be much better for their morale. I know that personally I would not do well with virtual school.

Sorry folks, I am 5 days behind on posting, this has been a heck of a week. I have had 3 doctors appointments this week and 2 of them were an hour away. Long story short. MRI showed cyst on pancreas. It is too small for surgery (good news) but this is something that will require an MRI every year for the rest of my life. It is in a place that it can be removed if it grows between now and next year. If I develop any symptoms I am to call my doctor immediately and go back in for a different test that is much more invasive. I feel fine and hope I continue to. My lung doctor and pancreas doctor are in the same building so I will try to schedule yearly CT scan of lung and pancreas MRI on the same day and also schedule the follow up appointments with the 2 doctors on the same day. Both places are an hour away so it makes for a long day. I also went for yearly eye exam. I can’t see very well, especially at night. Cataract surgery is scheduled for October 27. I feel like “if I was a building I would be condemned” but as I often say “I will keep on keeping on…..”

Debbie, I feel like “If you were a building, a few top architects in the same building would be looking to restore you to your amazing glory.” Be well my friend. Big hugs. 🤗

I also lost an additional 175 lbs this week. I finally had the courage to end my relationship. Hopefully I will be able to stand by it.
I apologize, I haven’t been keeping up with posts at all. I have continued to go to the gym and work out as much as possible. Hope everyone is doing well!

Hugs and strength to you, Timi. You are strong!

@1heresamcvean it does. I knew I would have a decent loss this week because I knew I was high for weigh in day last week. But you’re right it still feels good. I wanted below 210 before the end of the month. So I’m very pleased.
@debbiewsharpe thank you!!! Maybe I’ll end the 5 weeks at 205. Doubt it but a girl can dream right.

Grrr. I just wrote a lovely long post and it’s out there somewhere in the ether. I’m not great with MFP on my phone but already have my feet up after a busy week.

From memory, here’s the gist of it.

I will post my weigh in tomorrow after a sedentary week. I’ve been at my desk, head down working to launch the new business while also doing genealogy work for clients. It’s a solitary business and I know I’m on a roll when I’m down a rabbit hole. That makes it tricky to come up for air.

I had Pippa and Gilbert yesterday. I’m not sure if I posted about this last night because I was wiped right out. I took them for a grand picnic at Christie Pits park. It was just lovely until an eager puppy dove right into our picnic blanket and was all, “I have a ball and want to play, plus your food smells so good!” My dog, Xavy, and Gilbert who’s 16 months, and Pippa, who’s 3, weren’t able to read his body language and were blown over literally and figuratively.

Until tomorrow, you are all great!

p.s. I also wanted to recommend a documentary on Netflix called The Playbook. It’s a five part series with some amazing sports coaches sharing their rules for life. Legends like Jose Mourinho, Don Rivers, Jill Ellis, and a couple more. Great inspiration!

Y'all. The first six weeks of school is done. I've missed everyone, and I'm going to be getting back into checking in daily.

You’re sounding good, Casey! I’m so happy you are balancing this strange school year well enough to come back. Not surprised, just happy.

Weight is from Wednesday. Pleased to see it go down a little, but must admit I have not really been overly focused since hurting my back last Saturday (my son was teaching me karate!). My back is feeling a little better now, so hoping to be back exercising a little more this coming week. Just can't seem to get my head back in the game properly...

Will spend some time later reading through some posts from this group that I have missed - I'm sure that will help motivate me!

I find it hard to focus on food and exercise when I have pain issues too. Sorry about your back. Glad it's feeling a little better. I've never done karate. Sounds like fun!

You'll get your head back in the game! I have confidence in you! It took me a while too.

    Saturday 9/26
    Food: good
    Exercise: 2 short walks

My dad came over and gave me his old 32" TV. He got a larger one from the family he does yard work for (they got a wall mounted one). I didn't realize how small the one I had really was. I think 19".

I spent my day doing a load of laundry and did some cooking. One of my friends in the condo complex gave me a mason jar with ingredients for minestrone, you just add water, potatoes and carrots. I made that and made one of the sheet pan meals from the class I took earlier this week. Ranch pork chops and potatoes. Both meals were really good and now I have meals for the week.

Another friend went away for the day and asked me to walk her dog. Poor Lacey, she missed mom. She didn't want to walk so I picked her up and carried her for a while and talked with her. We must have looked a sight.😊 I put her down and she walked a few minutes but didn't want to go anymore so we headed back to her condo, then she walked just fine.🤣

Later I sat outside with some of the neighbors and visited for a while.
