@kiane50 - Do you want to change your weigh-in day to one that isn't after a night of eating out? I'd hate for your numbers to be skewed. I'm such a numbers person, I know that would bother me. Although you did hit a loss, so maybe you don't eat as poorly at a restaurant as you think.

Very happy with this loss, particularly with having Thanksgiving last weekend. I am down to the final 5 lbs and am a couple of lbs from a “normal” BMI. I am not going to put a deadline on this or too much pressure on myself. I have enough stress right now. If I can slowly chip away, I will be happy. I am thinking about what maintenance will look like, and other goals going forward. Fitness, maybe even running, will be part of that for sure. I just looked up the equivalent of a 25 lbs loss and it is a 2 year old toddler or 3 gallons of milk!

Good day yesterday. I had a good week (from Monday) and I am down 3 pounds. I understand that the weight is mostly water but a much better number for me to see on the scale Lol! I am still up 2.2 lbs for the month and 3.5 from before the walk so I have some work to do. I am starting to feel more like myself too. I think I was mostly just exhausted. I am not in as much pain as I was but my left knee is swollen and hurts but even that is getting better. I had the same thing the beginning of the summer, I hope this isn't going to be a thing for me now. More of a reason to get this weight off.
Any plans for the weekend? We have an outdoor family party which is about an hour away. I am more excited for the drive as I am hoping there will be pretty fall leaves. I am not too worried about eating or drinking. I am going to drive so I will only have one drink and we are all bringing food so I should be ok. Otherwise a quiet weekend in Pennsylvania for a change. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and weekend.
@Cafelelia It is so important to be kind to yourself. I like that you are cutting yourself some slack. You do have so much going on. Nice loss this week,especially after Thanksgiving!! I am glad things are going well.

@podperson1 Happy belated Birthday! I feel like I have been the same lately-gaining and losing the same 5 pounds. Let's finish the year off on a high note and get past this. We can do it!!
@mainebeachbum I have yet to use the recipe builder but it is a good tool. Maybe if you add your usuals in slowly it will help in the long run. Sounds like you are doing well overall though!

I weigh myself everyday just to keep an idea of where I am at. I definitely was having some intense water weight! As of this morning, I am .2# less than last Friday even though on Monday, for my weigh in, showed nearly a 5# gain! I think this may be why I was so out of sorts! I literally was exhausted!
Today, I am feeling better. And I started my day by cleaning out my closet of clothes that were too loose. I loaded them in the car and took them to goodwill. I have been off the rails for nearly two weeks. I figured if I kept those clothes, it would be too easy to grow back into them.5 -

Lots happening this week. My cat of over 17 years is passing away I believe. She is pretty comfortable but not eating. We already knew she was declining. My son who left school last year is planning to go back which brings up a lot of anxiety for what we’ve been through with him in the past. Hopefully he maintains his new healthier perspective on life this time. We will be empty nesters again and I really didn’t like going through that before. And I’ve been extra tired for some reason and yet I need to practice for our performance this weekend. I play viola in the community orchestra. I have a son in school in chicago too and he is always on my mind and in my heart. My eating is pretty good and my pants are getting pretty baggy. I want better fitting pants but it would be a waste to buy them I could probably find some old pants around that I grew out of lol. It is just they are pretty old. So we will see. This is just a little snapshot of my life today.7
