Thanks for the love letter to our team! I assure you, it is not just the captains. We are so lucky that the people who stick with us here are open, interested and interesting, ready to try things, and just plain cool. Thanks also for explaining one more "NSV" - the way losing weight, getting fit, and feeling so much better about ourselves has an impact on so many aspects of our lives. Your understanding and support of your partner helps everyone around you. And congrats on the good losses! Yes, the scale helps
@CanadianGiraffe
The things will wait for you. Two things done, and really important ones too, are a win in my books. That reminds me - I have to make an appointment to get my winter tires on too... The snacks will win from time to time, but you know how to step away from them and get yourself feeling better. Take some really deep breaths, drink a long glass of water slowly, and off you go.
@eggfreak
lists. aren't they amazing? I have been using a planner this year, not always consistently, but enough to learn what it can help and what it can't. I really enjoy it. I used to need one for work, of course, and I had an amazing filing system with daily folders for the current month, monthly folders for the rest. But after I retired, I stopped planning altogether, and got really lost in the nothingness, especially since the pandemic started and I can't go places. Now I use my planner a lot - and learn from those things I insist I am going to do and do not do. It forces me to think of the whys and why nots, but mostly it helps me get those daily and weekly tasks taken care of without forgetting too many of them.
great losses rolling in - WTG!
Have a good one!2 -

I'm off those nasty stomach pills, not retaining water, and losing again. I think I'm set to about half a pound a week, which is fine. I don't need to lose fast as long as I lose eventually.
I found a sweater my mom gave me once and wore it to work and got so many compliments. It hasn't fit in like 6 years, so it gives me warm and bittersweet feelings to wear it again. I miss her clothing advice. I'm not nearly as good at business appropriate fashion as she was.8 -

Oh I am definitely a list person. I don’t know else to do life. I have lists for my lists... 🤣🤣🤣
This week I created a new list to keep myself on target with my October goal to get below 160. Things were going well until Friday night. Now I need to go refer to my lists again. It’s honestly the only way to remind myself of the why and how and when. If the list is in my face even better.9 -

Hey Rhonda!, @evangsimmons170, you hanging in there okay? You and a few others on here have a LOT of juggling to do, hope all's well.
Thanks for checking up on me, @eggfreak
I'm hanging in there. Not sure how well I'm juggling considering I had to get an extension on my 2 doctoral courses because I got behind thanks to the craziness of my full-time job as an assistant principal dealing with the behavior class with the emotionally disturbed kids. I find that part of my job absolutely draining on so many levels. Anyway, the bright spot in my whirlwind life right now is that things are going very well with dating my ex-husband. The older versions of us seem to be working far better than the younger versions, that's for sure. We're enjoying the journey.

Yeah, it's been a rough week!
I hope everyone is doing well. I have not been keeping up with the posts this month, and I'm sorry about that. Life has got to get better than this real soon!

@evangsimmons170
So halppy to see you!! It sounds like things have been rough, but I am glad to hear about the bright spot. A few months ago when you started seeing your ex again it sounded good, and it is wonderful to hear that it is continuing to go well. I hope things calm down for you one of these days. And don't worry too much about your doctoral course extensions - if your supervisors cannot see that you are juggling umpteen simultaneous flaming torches, they don't deserve you!2 -

I’m sure it was a tiny loss later. 😉3 -
There are so many benefits to this outside of the way we look - it affects our whole lives!I found a sweater my mom gave me once and wore it to work and got so many compliments. It hasn't fit in like 6 years, so it gives me warm and bittersweet feelings to wear it again. I miss her clothing advice. I'm not nearly as good at business appropriate fashion as she was.
My day was better. We got most of the Christmas lights up in the yard. The theory is that it is always better to do it before it gets too cold. But it was already -12C (10 F) with the wind chill so not sure we picked the best day for it. We don't turn them on until the first Sunday in Advent but it feels good to have them mostly done.
Also enjoying all the list makers of the world standing up to be recognized! I don't think I would get anything accomplished without my lists!

This week I was too busy with work to be able to cook and my husband cooked more high carb food and we had minimal vegi portions, and my movements were minimal, so I expected to not lose too much. But this is the first time in the past two years that I am at this weight, so I am happy that I've joined this challenge.7 -
Happy Sunday Fabulous Friends!

Another week with the tiniest of losses, but still a loss, which means another GREEN. (Can you see me doing my "I'm in the Green" dance 💃?)
And I went for a walk/run after our morning family call - still alternate walking and running for each track that plays through my headphones).
Have a lovely day 😘6 -
to all the Canadian crew....I just have to report that I've spotted my first junco of the season in Massachusetts...for me it marks the beginning of winter. It cracks me up that they migrate from Canada to us...because our winters are milder (?) One of my favorite birds, such a modest little beauty.2

It certainly is milder in Massachusetts than here! Having lived in both places, I can assure you - and the juncos are still coming. They got here a couple of weeks ago, and are still chowing down under the feeder. Fattening up for the trip. I love those little guys too. I think they hang out a lot farther north than here during the summer, so they must like it cold. Maybe there are fewer cats stalking them up there too1 -
WaistAways! We are still in the top 3 this week Congrats to our top 3 in the team:
@mbakhtiaruz
@travisspring
@ells_runs
Don't let it go to your heads, now! Keep on going in the same direction, ok?4 -
The Green Challenge Percentage of people who lost weight this week. No matter how small the loss the weights are recorded in green. Remember that even if your team doesn’t rank the highest in weight loss for the week you can still be the Green Percentage winner by having the most losses in your team! So keep it up!!2
