Yesterday, many of your shared how you defined success overall and/or how you defined success within the context of MFP/UAC. It was my privilege to read and reflect on your words. It made my think about 'the life well lived"
@achagpar focused on the personal and the philosophic, "Success? For this, just keeping on track, and getting up when I get knocked down. For life, I like the quote:
“To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson, philosopher, poet, author, and essayist
I hope you have/had a great Sunday!!
BTW: Good morning, @Chinkiri

@donna25trinity - I’m so glad you have been encouraged and inspired by that podcast. It makes me really happy that it was helpful. THIS is success and what this group is about - we share our ups and downs, we encourage each other, we vent, and we don’t give up.9

I'm back after 5 days of illness. When I'm not feeling well, I can't stay on track at all. Starting over for March as I'm feeling better today. It feels like spring here and things are looking up. Yay!12

So repairs to our section of the building seem to be ending. This is me checking out the March 7 UAC from the kitchen counter. We never planned to buy/live in Florida, but this view convinced us otherwise.11 -

Third day of avoiding cardio exercise, my step count today is only just over 7,000. I haven’t noticed any improvement in the arthritis yet. Tomorrow is my weekly weigh-in day, but as it’s only been a few days I don’t expect to see a bump on the scales yet.
@SModa61 – loved that clip about the limping dog

Today was my starting day again on MyFitnessPal. I also got a Fitbit Inspire 2. I didn't track anything so it is my first pass day. The next 45 days are going to extremely rough for me (and my son). I will be doing good if I can just focus on going in the direction I need to go. I am very glad to back in UAC12

Today's quote is the elevated, more mature version of the kids saying 🗣️ "Y.O.L.O!"
Don't quote me though as I have no actual clue what the kids are saying these days 🤷🏾♀️
Today was a rest day so another early log in before I log out...

Pass Days Used: --Since my 40 lb KB is taking some getting used to, I've worked out my expected progression using a drop set approach with my 25 lb KB. The original goal was for the last three sessions to use the 40 lb KB exclusively.
However, I ended off the first week by advancing my workout progression. That means I may end up doing more than 3 sessions this month with only the 40 lb KB.
The number in yellow indicates the number of minutes taken to complete the workout that day

I remember reading or hearing somewhere to not waste calories on cereals, since you get hungry fast. So I avoided it this time on dieting, just to find out cereals have the highest when it comes to iron! Fortified ones, so back to cearel again 😂.

One of my meal prep groups kept posting about how fantastic the Tikitok feta cheese pasta sauce was, so I went ahead and made it. It's very rich but delicious. However, it is also why I just made my calories. Not posting any pics because I don't want to trigger pasta cravings for anyone.5 -

@biketheworld i cld not agree more! If u listen to anymore that hit home for u pls let me know. Thanks again! I just finished watching escape the food prison on YouTube and also got alot out of that! I had my 1st pass day for march on saturday however instead of beating myself up i tried to enjoy it and also as u said use it as a way to understand how my body reacts weight wise so i dnt feel bitter and resentful. Im doing ur trick and weighing myself daily which is something ive avoided for the last 2 weeks. As of yesterday im also trying not to deprive myself so im making a conscious effort to eat all my calories! This is hard for me due to the fear of putting on weight and the diet mindset ive held onto for so long but im now thinking this is probably the mentality that has been holding me back. Thanks again. Thanks so much for all the sweet comments on yesterday's post. At this morning's weigh-in, I discovered that I'd somehow lost a pound last week--so even if I wasn't keeping track, apparently I was still ON track! That, combined with your support, definitely gave me a much-needed boost in motivation and confidence.10 -

Well, I didn't keep track of what I ate, BUT I got to brave the chilly weather and go for a leisurely ride on my new road bike! I've had the same hybrid bike for 25 years and got a road bike about a week and a half ago. It's definitely different that my hybrid bike! It's so light and I absolutely LOVE it! While I'll still will be using my hybrid for gravel trails and hooking up the tagalong bike to mine for my niece (as soon as she's grown into it...almost there), I will be using my road bike the majority of this year.
