    Yesterday ended up being a high step count day! Just before lunch I got the lawn mowed. As we were finishing up lunch my mom texted about walking so we went for a walk outside. When we got home, I had a snack and then decided to shampoo the carpet in the basement at the bottom of the steps. After that, I was ready to just sit haha. We got the kids off to bed, watched a couple episodes of a show and went to bed ourselves.

    Today I think we might walk again. It's going to be nice outside so my parents want to set up corn hole too. Should be a great day to just hang out outside.

    I love reading everyone’s post about meeting with friends and family. They give me so much hope.

    @red1185
    Shake things up to break your plateau. Making a change in your exercise or diet may do it.

    @Tazaria87
    Awesome loss and steps! At the beginning of the May challenge can you post your progress pictures again? It would be great motivation for the new people starting this month. Also, it will help the rest of us.

    @iradi8
    Nice stepping!

    @TheresaM787
    Great workout! Which fitness watch are you considering?

    @AlphaEliJoe
    Nice loss! You have a really good loss falling in the 1 to 2 pound weight. At your weight it is ok to lose a little more. A change in exercise will help. What’s your calorie deficit? Happy belated birthday! 🥳

    @Beautyofdreams
    I always describe it as someone repeatedly stabbing me with a knife. I have to get Atomic Habits. Maybe someone will get it for Mother’s Day for me.

    @363days
    Sounds like a good vacation. Those vacation pounds will disappear fast.

    @rwood566
    Do you weigh your food? It gives a more accurate calorie count. When searching for things putting usda in front of it will give an accurate calories count. At least that was the recommendation given to me.

    Saturday’s check in
    ✅Steps 9,058
    ❌Sleep
    ✅Walk
    ✅Water

    I was so caught up in my bad mood yesterday I walked further that I intended. So that and groceries really raised my steps. It was rough on the way back and the grocery shopping with the pain. I sucked it up and got through it. We ended up having Firehouse subs yesterday I got a medium but it was still huge. It was the first time we had it and it was really good. Of course I had another jump in water weight but it will drop over the next few days. I see drinking extra water in my future. I have to go to a different supermarket today as they didn’t have my Nestea water drops. The drops really increase my water intake.

    I broke the rules yesterday and visited my granddaughters outside for 10 minutes. We stayed 6 ft apart, wore masks and no hugs. It made me feel so much better. I am going to do a short walk today in a few very soon.

    Have a super Sunday!

    Wondering how many days I can keep up my step streaking, 11 days so far. Kids go back to school tomorrow. Yesterday we went to the beach for a few hours since it was so unseasonably nice here and then did my lower body workout. 4 weeks of this program almost complete. Had the rest of my leftover homemade pasta for dinner and back to skinnytaste dinners starting tonight. We went over to a neighbors house for drinks and s’mores over the fire. We do this a lot in the warm weather months. Luckily in warm weather I prefer the lighter seltzer drinks that are only 100 calories. Last night I had two high noon cans which are
    Vodka and flavored seltzer.

    Absolutely! I've been thinking lately that I should get out a picture of me at my heaviest and put it up next to my current picture. I'll get it done and post when the May board opens!

    Another gain this week :( This week was mostly good but yesterday was a bit off track. Now that we are fully vaccinated we had a friend over for a BBQ and I was a little over on calories and lot over on sodium. That led to a big spike on the scale today. I seem to be getting a little lazy after almost a year of doing this and need to tighten things up ... especially on the weekends! Daily goals for this week

    1. Track everything accurately and check in
    2. Macros P>100, C<115, F<40
    2. 7000K steps/ per day
    3. Row 2000m x 5 days
    4. 90oz/day

    @AlphaEliJoe - sounds like a good plan. The 300s will soon be history

    @TheresaM787 - which watches are you considering. I have tried them all. Fitbit kept breaking after about a year and I switched to Garmin which I liked better. Later I got an Apple Watch and loved it. It's very intuitive and natural for me since I am team iPhone.

    @red1185 - I feel you. I have been stuck for some time. I am hoping that starting a new exercise regime will help kick things back in gear. I also need to tighten up my tracking

    @rlaskey2 - sounds like a nice day. I am looking forward being able to go to a restaurant again someday. That will be my strategy when that day comes ... eat only half.

    @lindamtuck2018 - I am sorry that the injection did not help and that you are not getting anywhere with your chronic pain. I am so inspired by your determination to walk and exercise despite the pain. I hope you get relief and answers soon.

    Peloton 30 minutes, 8 miles. moderate effort
    Steps 700, still haven’t made a decision on a smart watch. Thank you @azkunk for your suggestion. I need to just make a decision. I keep putting it off. other responsibilities keep pulling away my attention.

    @Beautyofdreams Nice loss - can't wait to see your interview!
    @rlaskey2 Please remind me, are you going to the gym for this work-out, or is it an "at home"? Is it a specific plan you are following? What differences have you noticed after 1 month?

    Way to go, team. another win under our belts. we need it to help hold up our pants.

    @azkunk a good bbq is morale building. now use your better morale on that rowing machine.

    @rlaskey2 ohh. smores. being moderate in those instances is wonderful. great thinking. good luck on your walking streak and enjoy your beach walks.

    where would i find the podcast "half size me"? i've never looked one up.

    everyone has wonderful things going on, even if their scales don't agree. this just shows that there's more to our lives than scales going down. even when we gain a bit it's doing something that we haven't been able to do in a long time and it's making us happier. just get back on track the next day but keep the memory of the happy times you had and let that carry you thru for a while.

    check-in for 4/25:
    steps - 10117. wow! two days in a row. i think at least several hundred were counted without me moving my feet.

    calories - under 1800. i modified dinner a bit to stay under. my lunch was a bit higher than i wanted. i thought the calorie list was for 2 tacos but it was for 1 yet they gave 2. that's fine. i'll just keep that thought for future reference.

    exercise. - we went to the wild animal park this morning. we stayed 1 1/2 hours and looked at the parts that we didn't see the first time. up stairs, down stairs, up and down hills. i walked about 3 miles there but i didn't start my fitbit at the beginning and forgot to restart it after our snack break.

    i'm looking on barnes and noble now for atomic habits and see they have a workbook. has anyone done it?

    Here you go:
    https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/half-size-me/id502334416
    It’s also on Spotify.

    Here’s a similar one I was just introduced to
    https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/we-only-look-thin/id1335251466?i=1000401467100

    I didn’t use the Atomic Habits workbook. He also has resources on his website.

    Phenomenal walking days!!! I need to start walking. I keep using the excuse of - it’s too hot outside and my step tracker broke (hubby going to get me a different one for Mother’s Day 🤩).

    Exercise Rest Day

    Yesterday was a great relaxing day. Gave my son a haircut in the morning followed by a bath for both the kids. Headed to my parents house to hang out. Dad helped us stain and seal our corn hole boards so we can put our wraps on and play at home too. We played on their set several times, it was gorgeous outside. We ordered out for dinner and I got fish tacos on corn tortillas instead of flour. They were really good. We played more corn hole after dinner and then headed home to put the kids to bed.

    Today my nieces are here for the day. Not sure what the plan will be for steps, but it's going to be even warmer out today so hopefully something outside!

    Amazing steps and streak!

    @Beautyofdreams
    Awesome loss!

    @azkunk
    Sounds like sodium was the culprit. Great goals for the week!

    @TheresaM787
    I agree with Andrea about fitbits breaking. I have had so many different ones since my first Fitbit. I just recently had another one replaced under warranty. I love the Fitbit but I am seriously considering switching to apple when this one gives up.

    @rwood566
    I ordered AtomicHabits, a workbook and a journal last night off Amazon.

    @mszoueb
    Another great loss! Happy belated birthday!🥳

    @jimboden3
    Love you’re exercise room. Eating out would explain the gain. Hopefully, after a couple of days the water weight will come down.

    @Tazaria87
    Relaxation days are so important. Sounds like yours was perfect.
