    @askewcr Every ounce does count!

    @Firefly743 Great loss this week!

    @trooworld Nice loss! Especially coming off the couple of weeks of eating out a lot etc. You'll get back in the green very soon!
    I have my own cutting machine, a Silhouette Curio - my sister has a Cricut. I prefer the Silhouette software!

    @jactop Awww how cute! Funny thing is, my boy actually likes dancing around most of the time - just not with me apparently lol.
    You're so right about the sleep, I've been working on that a lot too!

    @Cornanda Yay!! Great loss!!

    @TeresaW1020 Yeah, throwing a ball around was much more fun for him. And rolling a toy tyre around too.
    Good luck on the DDF this month!

    @mlhopp93 Sending hugs!

    Not a lot to report here. Had pizza for dinner last night which saw a jump on the scale this morning thanks to the sodium. I was well over on calories, but not that much that it would cause a significant gain.

    This afternoon I will sit down and plan out my meals for the week and hopefully that will get me back on track tomorrow ready to go back to work.

    Is anyone else getting excited for the Olympics to start? Here in the Eastern part of Australia we only have a one-hour time difference with Tokyo so it will be great for us to watch things live!

    Goal Weight Challenge: Keep my eye on the prize!

    Track & Eat Within Macro Ranges
    No snacking after 8
    No unplanned sugar
    No junk snacks
    Exercise 5 x weekly

    Well, I stayed the same this week which surprised me. I was looking for a good weight loss. I have increased my exercise by riding my bike! It feels great to be back on my bike again and have been able to do that consistently for 30 minutes to an hour a day. I have stayed right on track every day, besides one slightly off day.
    I am definitely feeling stronger and feel like I am gaining control of my body again! Another non-scale victory, fitting into a few more tops that I couldn’t get into in a long while!! :-) :-)

    Weigh in Apple852hk
    Week 3 - July 2021 Sunday
    PW 140.6lbs (63.8kg)
    CW 138lbs (62.8kg)
    LTD about 37lbs (16.8 kg)
    GOAL weight 121lbs (55kg)

    Thanks for all the kind words about challenging my snacking. I found one perfect solution this past week...
    I've been unwell after for over 10 days but finally getting into recovery. I totally stopped snacking.

    Apologies no update weigh in last Sunday.

    Ate little as no appetite and funny enough, no desire to have chocolate or anything sweet.

    The only urge I did have, I had comforting custard warm instead.

    Being drinking fruit juice to upkeep calories when not eating with being unwell. Only drunk tea at breakfast and no coffee for a week.

    Bumper harvest of pototoes and peas at my allotment. Enjoyed pea and potatoe soup and a batch of chilli pototoe salad. All high carb so need to portion control.

    Here's for a better week ahead everyone.

    GOALS:
    1. Drink tea only at breakfast
    2. Go to sleep listening to podcast than grabbing a sugary hit.

    Smiles🥰

    @TheGlwUp Congrats on your loss this week!

    @19shmoo69 Hang in there!

    @laurelfit57 Wow - great, consistent effort! That really is the key and it's great you're seeing results!

    @trooworld The cake toppers are a little time consuming, but worth the effort to make. I bought one once and thought the same thing - why did I buy this when I could have made it! I hope you don't have as much water retention as me after your pizza! Let us know how the visit to the boxing gym went.

    @apple852hk Sorry to hear you've been unwell. Warm custard is lovely!

    @renaegry Nice loss! I hope you had some fun at the lake!

    I had a nice, relaxed weekend at home. Yesterday my sister and I walked with my son to a nearby park, where we played with a ball, played on the swings and had a go on the flying fox. There is a very unflattering video of me on the flying fox that I will not share, lol. But it was loads of fun. The toddler must have had fun too, after his afternoon nap he kept asking to go for a walk! So I think I will need to take him for a walk more often, even if we can't go to the park after work as it's a bit late.

    I can't remember if I mentioned that I am going to start taking the toddler to a kinder gym class once a week. Apparently the parents don't go in the studio with the kids and the class goes for an hour so I'm hoping that if he likes it, I can go to the gym that's just around the corner for a while each week! I just have to see how he goes this first time as he's never away from me or his dad so there may be some separation issues - I'll sit in the lobby and read a book just in case but if all goes well then from next week I can get some gym time in while he's occupied!

    I got myself back on track yesterday. Ended up a little bit over on calories but still with a good deficit, was only over because my blood sugar dropped too low mid-afternoon and I had to eat something to bring it back up. Otherwise I would have been right on track! I spent some time in the evening planning and pre-logging my daytime meals for the week, so I'm hoping to stay on track this week!

    Good Morning!

    I had a super day yesterday. Cleaned house and cooked. We had fresh collard greens, chicken, potato salad, and baked ribs. I didn't overindulge. :) Another niece and her friend visited for a long time. I haven't seen this one in a while so it was a great visit. I do plan to walk today even though it's a rainy day in Georgia. Blessings to you all. Let's go get it!!! B)

    Hi, Happy Monday- had a reasonable weekend, just caught up on all the posts! Surprise! My parents are coming to visit this week- from Wisconsin. They pulled it all together a week ago. They will just be here for a long weekend, but that means more eating out than usual most likely. I am trying to hit the exercise hard before they arrive, and will work on portions/good choices while they are here.

    I've not seen them in 18 months due to Covid, so it's going to be nice to have time together!

    @Cornanda Enjoy time with your family!

    @trooworld I'm so happy for you, I can't wait to hear how you like your first class!

    @askewcr So glad you had the chance to see your niece and her friend.

    @TwistedSassette The kinder gym class sounds cool and that gives you a chance to hit the gym, win win!

    @apple852hk What kind of tea do you drink? I love tea, I drink herbal teas all day, I made Celestial Seasonings Tension Tamer with a huge handful of pineapple sage and spearmint and ginger, I'm scared to try it! I just started a batch of kombucha which is basically fermented black sweet tea, I used mango black tea from Trader Joe's. I just tried one that was Chai and it was so good! I'll have to try that next time.

    Hi everyone! Had a busy weekend, I keep having female issues which I'm on medication for and it's not helping. I had plans I couldn't flake on so I still went but I'm having a real rough time. I helped a community organization with weeding Sat morning then went to a psychic fair and casino with my friend. I was ready to stay in bed Sunday and my family decided to have a BBQ because they're leaving soon to visit family in WA and my Dad and I can't go because my aunt's house has a ton of stairs. Today's taking it easy but being off Cymbalta has been really hard.

    @apple852hk I am so sorry that you have been sick! I hope you start feeling better very soon. <3

    @TwistedSassette That is great that your little guy will take his gym class and you will be able to take yours. I know you are nervous for him and he will surely have a few issues with being away from you and dad, but just keep up the encouragement and help him see that he is a big boy who can do fun things with you. My fingers are crossed!! :grin:

    @trooworld Wahoooo on joining the boxing classes! You are going to have to much fun. Push yourself as hard as you can and back off when you need to. I can’t wait to hear all about it. :grin:

    @krea4 Nice job on staying on track this month! Just yesterday, I told myself that I better pick up the pace so I can fit into my fall clothes that I bought on sale over the summer. :smile:

    @askewcr Glad that you had a nice visit with your niece and her friend. Your dinner sounds so yummy! Way to go in not overindulging in such good food. :)

    @Cornanda That is wonderful that your parents are coming for a visit! Enjoy your time with them and whatever happens on the scale can be managed when they leave. But getting in some extra workouts and watching your portion sizes is a great plan. ;)

    @Katmary71 So sorry that you are having lady problems. I hope that gets better soon! Will your dad be left alone at home? Your weekend sounds fun but difficult with the weeding. I don’t know how you do it! <3

    Hi Team! Sorry for not posting yesterday but it was a long day. After church and lunch, hubby and I drove an hour to meet up with my staff and their spouses at a place called Top Golf. If you don’t know what it is, it’s a fun place where you hit these electronic golf balls off a high platform into an enormous green space that has different size holes that you try to get your ball into. I am NOT very good and came in last place every time. :D Afterwards, hubby and I decided to splurge and have pizza at one of our favorite places called Your Pie. I’m done with the carbs and really plan to get my act together! Tomorrow, I have a physical. It’s the first one since I had pneumonia over four years ago. Hubby is making me go! :p

    Congrats all on second place!!

    @trooworld That is awesome news about the boxing gym!! I hope you really enjoy it!

    @krea4 Great loss this week!

    @askewcr Good on you for not overindulging on the dinner, it sounds delicious!

    @Cornanda Wow that's amazing news about your parents coming to visit!

    @Katmary71 Ooooh tell us about the psychic fair and casino visit! That sounds fun! Sorry that you couldn't have your sleep in on Sunday, sounds like you really needed a rest.

    @TeresaW1020 Thank you for the kind words of encouragement! I actually think (hope) that he will be fine. It's at a dance studio where he goes for playgroups once a week, so he's familiar with the environment. And the lady who runs it is a former colleague of mine who has a little girl only two weeks older than my son, so I'm sure she will be all over it. He's a pretty independent kid most of the time and loves playing with other kids so I'm hoping one of the slightly older kids will take him under their wing and he'll be fine!
    Top Golf sounds like a lot of fun!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Not much to report here! I had a good day yesterday, stayed under my calories and did a short step class video on YouTube which was kind of fun and definitely worked up a sweat. It was only 25 minutes as I wasn't sure if I could do a longer class, but I handled it ok so I think I will try a longer one next time.
    I have decided to stop doing the Body Boss program. I was kind of enjoying it, but I don't like having a set schedule for what I'm meant to do. Like on Wednesday I might feel like a nice yoga session, but first I have to get through a HIIT session and it makes me procrastinate on it and end up doing neither. I guess I can chalk this up to a lesson learned about myself - I will rebel against a program!
    Hi all! Checking in. So I mentioned with my Friday weigh in that my weight loss has slowed - most likely due to my laziness. I haven't lifted in 2 weeks. Physical therapy is doing a number on me and some days my back hurts so bad. PT has requested that I get an x-ray to rule out any compression fractures.... And if nothing on that then they will request the MRI. FINALLY! But... That was Wednesday they sent it to my doctor, and surprise surprise, no response yet🙄. So I'm working on not being lazy with the workouts. My back has been messed up thru this whole losing process and I only recently started using it as an excuse. Done with that nonsense. I'm still doing the squat challenge. Today was day 17 and I had to do 93 squats (ugh). I also managed to talk my sister into coming over and lifting with me 3 days a week. That will definitely help get me back into it. She's never lifted, so I started over on the Stronglifts 5x5 with her so we can be doing the same thing and still be giving my back a bit of a break with the lower weights. Today was squat, bench, and row and I took a short walk afterwards. Feeling pretty good, I love lifting. Not sure how I got so unmotivated, but ready to get back to it!
    So I went to the track field yesterday and walked for thirty minutes. While walking, my right heel started aching. I stopped and stretched two times but by the time I got home, I was in pain. All I did was walk. I'm icing it and using Biofreeze today. I have dance practice tonight bit don't know if I will make it. I need this to hurry up and run it's cycle so I can stay on this roll I'm on. Not defeated!! Not defeated!! It is a brand new day so let's go get it!! B)
    Morning all. The lake was a blast but way to fricken hot again. Did manage to go golfing on Saturday but other then that sat around under the awing with a fan and drank beer. Yesterday sat in the vehicle al day travelling to get parts for hubby’s semi. Today is a cool day need to get some work done (I do books out of my house) then need to go and finish organizing my daughter’s gymnastics building (we moved places in June). Then back to the lake tomorrow till Sunday or Monday. Will try to get some walks in this week at the lake since the temperatures are suppose to be on the cooler side. Only a high of 26C not 36C lol
    @trooworld It's dumb. I would think 12 PT visits and and x-ray cost more than an MRI🤷. I suppose it saves them money when people get better and don't need it, but it seems like a waste of time and money... At least in my case.
    My husband hurt his shoulder lifting and went to the ER to try and avoid what I'm going thru. They actually told him they don't do MRIs. UM...they lied to you.... It's a hospital... They can do an MRI🙄.
    @TwistedSassette Yes, I’m sure your little guy will be fine. From his pictures, he looks very outgoing and ready for a challenge. :grin: That is great that you have figured out what works for you with your exercise and if you don’t like having a set schedule then you for sure shouldn’t do it. I’m the opposite. If my schedule doesn’t have things like cardio or HIIT in it, I probably wouldn’t do it. :grin:
    @Lulu_jo I am sorry that your back is still giving you so much pain and hope that you can get the MRI soon and find out what can be done. Good for you for deciding to continue doing the squat challenge and getting back to lifting. Just please be very careful with yourself! :)
    @trooworld Good for you for pushing through your hunger and not hitting up the vending machines. I’m really working on eliminating all snacking. Except for my afternoon cup of coffee. I’m not that much of an extremist!! :D
    @askewcr Ugghhh so sorry that the walking hurt your heel. I hope it feels better for the dancing. :)
    @renaegry Keep having fun at the lake! I envy you!! :grin:
    Hi Team! Well, I went for a physical today at my husband’s insistence. He thought it was bad that I hadn’t been since I had pneumonia in 2016. So, I went, and my doctor was super happy with my weight loss and how good everything looks. My A1C was 5.2% which is great and I’m sure when I get the blood work back it will be just as good. She does want me to get a mammogram and a pneumonia shot. And I will! :grin: My eating has been very good today. I made this ground pork egg roll in a bowl and used this blend of veggies called Super Food. It was so tasty and the sriracha mayo put it over the top! <3
    @Lulu_jo Sounds like you have the right attitude to move forward! I hope the scans come back all clear when you eventually get to take them, and meanwhile take care of your back!
    @trooworld Way to go on avoiding the vending machines & cafe, even when you had an excuse! So great!
    @askewcr Ouch, that sounds painful. I hope it heals up quickly.
    @renaegry Sounds super busy! Enjoy the cooler weather this weekend.
    @TeresaW1020 Great news about the doctor visit! And also about the good eating today. You're on top of it! The toddler did great at the class, more on that below.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Yesterday was another good day! Stayed under calories, and played Beat Saber (but only for 20 minutes because my sister dropped by for a visit and didn't leave until 9:30 PM so I didn't have long to work out before I needed to go to bed! Something is better than nothing, though.

    The toddler had an absolute ball at the Kinder Gym class. The teacher came out to meet us in reception and took him by the hand to lead him into class. He didn't even look back lol. I sat in the reception area reading my book in case he cracked it halfway through but he was a champion. This was a trial class for him to see how he'd go before we enrolled him since he's never done anything without either me or his dad or my mum or sister there. The teacher was concerned that he might have some separation issues but after about 10 minutes she came out, handed me the enrolment form and said "He's fine!". So next week I will just drop him off and not need to wait around, so I'll go to the gym around the corner for a quick workout while he is in class. I can't wait!

    I'm trying to be careful with my back. It has greatly improved with the weight loss, but there's definitely something wrong with it. All I can do at this point is not push too hard, but keep trying to lose more. Only 55lbs to go!! Today I woke up with different pain. Same spot, but on the left side of my spine in addition to the right.... And a strange tingly sensation on the left side as well. Some nerve stuff going on I guess. I took it easy, only did my 99 squats for the day and called it good. My legs are on fire! 🤣

    @TwistedSassette That is great that your little man loved his Kinder Gym class and that you can now go to the gym too. How often do you plan to go? What will you do at the gym? :)

    @Lulu_jo Good grief I can’t imagine doing 99 squats and I love doing squats. My problem is my knee will tweak painfully if I do too much squatting. I’m hoping that more weight loss will help and then I just might do a squat challenge too. ;)

    @trooworld Beer bread sounds interesting! How long are the boxing classes for? Do you do any other type of exercise or is it just boxing moves? You are going to get in great shape! B)

    @leonadixon I’m so very sorry for the news about your dad! Of course, you are super upset and turning to food for comfort is natural, but it won’t help you with your health goals. Do you exercise? That really helps me when I’m feeling a lot of stress. I’ll be praying for you and your family! <3

    Hi Team! Not too much going on today. I’m working on putting together a new church directory that will be online and also has an app. very high tech for us! :grin: I am presenting it to my staff tomorrow to see if they like the idea. I think they will and then I will have a ton of work but in the long run, I think it will help us a lot. I have done great on my eating, but calories were a little too high. However, I did a really intense cardio workout this morning, so I feel OK. Just want the scale to go down by Friday!

    @leonadixon I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, I can only imagine the stress you are under right now.

    @TwistedSassette The psychic was pretty funny, I picked the weirdest reading you could possibly pick, no surprise my spirit doesn't like having to be trapped in my body but since I had to sit with my legs elevated it was obvious I had health issues. She did basically inspire me to get back to earth energy meditation so I'm doing that again.

    Quick check-in, I'm in the middle of watering at the food bank farm, about to head back out to turn off the water as he forgot to water the fruit trees and I have no clue if I turned on the right valve so I'm praying it doesn't flood while I'm gone. I've been taking it easy this week and reading a lot, I can't get through the book I'm reading, I read for an hour and the percentage doesn't budge. It's a good book I'm just ready for something light and Malcolm X's new biography isn't light reading! I go to the pain clinic next week, I thought it was this week but I had it written down wrong.

    @leonadixon I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, that would really be stressful. I hope you can find a way to release some of that stress in a way that doesn't involve food - maybe meditation or yoga? They help me when I am stressed.

    @trooworld Oooh beer bread sounds yum!

    @TeresaW1020 The Kinder Gym class is once a week, so I'll just go to the gym then. My employer covers the cost of the gym for us, so that's a bonus! They have pretty much everything you could need at the gym, so I will probably do either cardio on the elliptical or rower, or otherwise do some strength training on the machines since I don't really do enough strength work! I have always wanted to try kettlebells and they have those too so no excuses.

    @Katmary71 The psychic does sound like a fun experience! I'm glad that you have been inspired to get back into the meditation - I remember you writing about it ages ago.

    Not much to report again here, celebrating the little victories of staying under my calories again yesterday! I tried a new game on my Oculus Quest, called Audio Trip. It's basically dancing, and it was a lot of fun and got me quite sweaty.

    I have been procrastinating on the cake topper but really need to get it done today. I started the actual cutting last night and it didn't even take long, I'm just putting it off for no reason. I will try to get it properly done tonight!
