@askewcr I'm glad your heel is feeling better. Have a good day!

@TeresaW1020 Yeah, I just hope I don't puke from the exertion! LOL Oh gosh, cleaning in the heat sounds no fun! Congrats on the loss!

@TwistedSassette I did, thanks! Sounds like you are doing great, too. I hope the acupressure mat helps your neck and shoulders.

Hello all. I had another good day yesterday, my only snacks were a handful of Good Thin crackers and some hard-boiled eggs. I don't know whether or not I'll see a loss tomorrow but I've done better this week so there's that.

Hi all, this week I’m going to miss the weight in. We went for 6 days to a ski resort in PA and initially planned lots of activities but then we settled to an hour at the pool and then walk around for another two hours every day. We got a map with the walking trails and since the markings are not updated (a year of no tourists I guess) we end in places with no other option but the slopes- let me tell you 2 black diamond uphill walks a day and every muscle in my legs and butt were awake.
My weight will be up for sure when we get back tomorrow, but it was so worth it.

@TwistedSassette Yes, my church loved the directory idea! Once I get my portion done we will present it to the church and then I will have to chase people to get them to submit photos and other information the directory wants. I hope that your acupressure mat can relieve the tension in your neck and shoulders. Maybe some yoga too? :)

@trooworld You have done great this week so my fingers are crossed that the scale will think so too! :)

@GaviV125 Yeah, your weight might be up but for an awesome reason. Your muscles must be begging for some rest.

@Lulu_jo Great weigh-in this week!! B) Ugghh so sorry about the osteoarthritis diagnosis. I hope you get the MRI too so that they can rule anything else out. We know our bodies so sometimes you have to be super persistent until you get what you need. :/

Hi Team! Today has been a good day. I went and finished up the church cleaning and then came home and did a workout. Today was isometrics and my arms are crying but I feel good. I listened to a podcast about the importance of building muscle and how it helps with the aging process. My food was good today. I made this new recipe for a BBQ chicken pizza where the crust was made out of ground chicken. It was OK, but nothing special. :)

Good evening all! It's been a good day but very hot. One time I got back in my car and the temperature was 100! I did storytelling for two daycare centers today and took my nieces to the library for the summer reading program. I'm tired tonight but it's a good tired. My eating wasn't so bad today. I'll take victories wherever I can! :p
Good night all and let's go get it tomorrow!!! B)

@GabiV125 Your trip sounds fun. I hope you had a good time.

@Lulu_jo Way to go on the loss! I hope they discover the cause of your back pain.

@TeresaW1020 I thought I had done a good job too, the scale is a liar! LOL I've heard of the ground chicken pizza and thought, what? I'm glad I can cross that one off the list lol.

@askewcr Sounds like a good day.

Hello all. I wanted to throw the scale against the wall this morning lol. I ate healthy all week had very few missteps and what feedback does it give me? NOT GOOD ENOUGH lol. I am calling it a liar and moving on, next week hopefully will be better. Today, I have a birthday party in the park for one of my best friends. I am in charge of making the cake and a Mediterranean salad. If I stay away from the cake, it will be a healthy outing as almost everything being brought is salads.

Sounds like everyone is doing good overall!

@19shmoo69 I saw a meme that made me laugh and think of you, it says "I took my cup of Java over to the IT guy and told him I finished downloading it, the guy hates me"!

I'm headed to the food bank in a bit to volunteer then we're having a volunteer party so that's my day today. I've been doing chair cardio then a dance song each day, I have to switch up chair cardio because I mostly do arm cardio or I get a lot worse, I'd rather dance to a song than do chair cardio. Still meditating and stretching. My elbow gets worse using my phone so I'm trying not to. Not much else going on, have a great one!

@TheGlwUp - did the dietician give you a food plan? I like the thoughts about it being a health journey. When the scale gets stuck I focus on the health gains I've made which are just as important as the weight loss.

Sorry for the late response. I just saw your post. For some reason I can't see mentions on the desktop version.
No, my dietitian didn't give me a food plan even though they are also a certified personal trainer.
They are really trying to train me to focus on improving my overall health instead of just the weight loss.
They said they can give me a food plan, but that will still only be a short term solution.

They are currently working with me to help me change my relationship with food,
so my goal for the past couple of weeks was to not track my calories or obsess over the number on the scale.
It was so hard! I stopped stressing about not logging my food after a few days, and I actually lost weight.
But I really appreciated how I am learning to stop emotional eating by changing my relationship with food.

    Good Morning!
I had a super day yesterday. Cleaned house and cooked. We had fresh collard greens, chicken, potato salad, and baked ribs. I didn't overindulge. :) Another niece and her friend visited for a long time. I haven't seen this one in a while so it was a great visit. I do plan to walk today even though it's a rainy day in Georgia. Blessings to you all. Let's go get it!!! B)

Sounds like a delicious meal! Great job with going walking even though it was a rainy day. That is dedication!

Hi, Happy Monday- had a reasonable weekend, just caught up on all the posts! Surprise! My parents are coming to visit this week- from Wisconsin. They pulled it all together a week ago. They will just be here for a long weekend, but that means more eating out than usual most likely. I am trying to hit the exercise hard before they arrive, and will work on portions/good choices while they are here.
I've not seen them in 18 months due to Covid, so it's going to be nice to have time together!
    Lisa

It is so wonderful that you will get to see your parents after not seeing them for 18 months! Enjoy every precious moment of their visit as you all create new memories to treasure!

Hi everyone! Had a busy weekend, I keep having female issues which I'm on medication for and it's not helping. I had plans I couldn't flake on so I still went but I'm having a real rough time. I helped a community organization with weeding Sat morning then went to a psychic fair and casino with my friend. I was ready to stay in bed Sunday and my family decided to have a BBQ because they're leaving soon to visit family in WA and my Dad and I can't go because my aunt's house has a ton of stairs. Today's taking it easy but being off Cymbalta has been really hard.

I hope you are feeling better, and can get new medication that will help you. That psychic fair sounds really interesting!

Hi everyone. This week is super rough, I need to iron out a game plan to handle new ish stress. My dad has bladder cancer, and he had surgery last year to removed the bladder etc. While he feels ok, we found out that it has returned and spread to his lymph nodes. I am already a high anxiety person and this just adds to my stress level. Part of the issue with that, is that I internalize. I don't cry, get mad, or stuff like that. I EAT and get my body tied up in knots. Anyways, I need some cheering up and cheering on. I need to up my plan and exercise more. I know that will help me work out some of the stress and hopefully keep more more on track.

I hope you all have a good week!

So sorry to hear about your dad's health. Praying for his complete recovery.
Exercising more is a great plan to help with your stress. Are you able to go for walks in nature?
Journaling is also helpful to help you release the feelings you are internalizing.
We are here to support you!

Got my x-rays back. No fractures or dislocations, but degenerative disc disease (osteoarthritis). That I kinda expected. My mother and 2 of my sister's also have this. I hope they will still do the MRI and not just think this is the only problem. I've had back pain forever, this is different back pain than usual. Fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear about the diagnosis. Fingers crossed for you to get your MRI to determine the root of the problem.

@vegan4lyfe2012 That is wonderful that you get to have time with your son. Enjoy every moment!! :)

Good morning Team! Sorry that I didn’t post yesterday. I spent the day deep cleaning and reorganizing drawers and closets. I wasn’t going to do so much but you know how one thing leads to another? That was me! My scale hasn’t budged in three days, which is super annoying but at least I’m not gaining so that is good. I’m doing well with my data driven fasting and hitting my blood sugar trigger, but today it dropped and will continue to, so it will only get more challenging. You all have a wonderful day! :)

    @Firefly743 @askewcr @RYcare Good weigh-ins!

@TheGlwUp Wow, what a loss! Congrats! That's great that you are working on your relationship with food.

@Katmary71 I hope you have fun at the party.

@vegan4lyfe2012 Aww, enjoy the time with your son! <3

@apple852hk Maintaining is better than gaining. I'm glad you are feeling better.

    @TeresaW1020 I bet you'll see a whoosh.

Hi all. Well, today is the day: my boxing class starts at 9:30. I hope I survive it lol. For real, I'm afraid I'm going to puke or something. I ate pretty well at the party yesterday and everyone loved the cake.
