Connie at least you a) got on the scales b) came here to 'fess up c) know you need to do something about it in the new year.... all those things are positives, and show that while you've strayed from the straight and narrow path, you're still within striking distance of it. You WILL find your way back, and we'll be here to cheer you on.

    Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!!

The last few days I've been playing around with the same pounds.
    12/20/2021 242.4 12/21/2021 242.6
    12/22/2021 241.8 12/23/2021 242.2
    12/24/2021 242.0

That would make the 5 day average 242.2. So for December I've lost 8.8 pounds. From Oct 31 to now 16.4 pounds & from my all time high in 2019 34.6 pounds. I'm still happy with it & staying on track.

Overweight BMI (202.2 lbs) lose 40 lbs
Healthy BMI (169.3 lbs) lose 72.9 lbs
Goal (145 lbs) lose 97.2 lbs

Goal (145 lbs) lose 99 lbs

This morning I saw a 2 pound jump on the scale. It says 244.0, I know I didn't over eat (even if I went over 1350 I always had exercise cals to cover and still was under) so I did not actually gain that weight, but I did have a lot of carbs and sodium the last 2 days. I'll go back to watching those numbers better and should see it drop back down soon.

Good clear thinking, @Americanbabydoll. Those water gains can chip away at the spirit...hope your spirit is still proud of your accomplishment over Christmas. That is most impressive!

Do you weight once a week, or once a day but just record/report weekly?

I like weight trend apps. Not that they don't have issues too (of course they do); but, they react less to transient changes and highlight long term changes a bit more.

I am wondering if I should dare the scale on boxing day 🤣

I weigh daily but only post losses on here. I see the fluctuations so I know how it goes. I use Libra to track the daily weights. I also keep a spreadsheet of daily weight, cal eaten, carbs, sodium, water intake, steps and miles. Looking at the sheet sometimes I can see the trend of higher carbs & higher sodium equaling a "gain" the next day.

Hey Dalon: Season's Greetings Mr. Florida! Are you on a secret cut? Have you been pumping your iron the same as before? Are you feeling peckish? Is your average resting heart rate up or down? And are you unhappy, or happy with the results?!?!?!?!

Clothes within 5-10lbs... not sure if they're a reliable indicator especially in the XL (I assume given your height you're using XL) sizing. Are you even more shredded and showing more vascularity than before? Sounds like a good year?

My own COVID track has been 3-4lbs down over the first five or six months... followed by 7-8lbs up over the next fifteen or sixteen... so I would almost sign up for a -10 )
