Let's pretend THIS never happened. Back on the horse this week. 😑

Proud of you for facing it. I know you were not wanting to get on the scale. So much of this isn't real gain and it'll be off in no time.

    Knowledge is power!

@lonestarbabe Oh man - sorry to hear COVID got you... take it easy, and never feel bad when you fall behind on posts... this group can get quite active and at times be very quiet, but we are here for you in whatever way you need.

@kellie_erin Agree - especially when the weather is so cold and I have a sedentary desk job... I love to do other forms of exercise too so to add 10,000 steps on top of that can feel challenging. I have started walking while I watch TV to help.

Having a fairly quiet day, just getting back into the swing of things and doing some stuff around the house. Gotta love a work week with only one day of work :)

I feel so lost on here! I haven't read many of the posts, and I'm just feeling so out of it. I've had no energy at all. I started feeling sick on the 3rd, and on the 4th, I figured it was a sinus infection. I just got my covid results, and I am positive. It's kicking my butt! At least I don't have to have the guilt for the downturn in my steps. That was really bothering me. I hope everyone is doing well! I'm going back to sleep, and I'll have to catch up on here when it doesn't feel like my head is going to explode. Ugh!

I'm so sorry! Please let me know if you want to go on support team for now - back when you're feeling better. I'll also send you a message. Hugs flying your way ---

    1/6 exercise
12,945 steps which included about 70 minutes on the treadmill.

My hubby and I trying to transition to barefoot style shoes so I'm relearning how to walk without all the support I'm used to. I'm a bit skeptical as I've had foot, ankle, knee, hip, just general joint problems all my life. But this is actually supposed to help so I'm going to see what happens. It was my husband's research that initially got me interested as he's on this backpack hiking/camping/scrambling up mountains kick.

I got sent to work from home yesterday as there was two cases of COVID in the office staff at the gas plant I work at. So I'll see how long that lasts - definitely positives and negatives for both options...

@jugar is it okay if I switch my weigh in to Saturdays? Is it a bit of an experiment to see if it'll keep me more on track for the weekend

Best thing I ever did was to go zero drop on all shoes, and minimalist on many - pavement still requires a bit more give than anything else, but the barefoot ones in the woods and other places are amazing. I had knee and hip issues and neuromas in my feet - all a lot better with this footwear. I hope it works well for you! Take your time. Check out Nutritious Movement (a website by Katy Bowman) for all kinds of great stuff.

    Saturdays it is! No problem.

So sorry to hear about your health woes - I figured you must have been seriously under the weather to have dropped away like that. Would you like to go on the Support Team until you're back to somewhere more normal? Or keep weighing in right away? On Support, you are still on the team, you can weigh in if you want, but it does not count in the team tallies until you choose to come back onto the "regular" team. Let me know, ok? And keep getting better

There are some seriously good weigh-ins. You have more than made up for those who are still struggling with the end of holiday madness - the team is grateful!! Thanks @Pearl4686 and @evangsimmons170 and everyone else who lost earlier in the week - you're doing great.

I managed to pull a small loss out of my bad couple of days - phew! Back into my maintenance zone. I had slipped over for a bit there. Today is calmer. I had a long talk with my daughter last night, and even though she is facing some pretty serious weirdness and has to wait for consultations in neurology and who know what else, it seems to be something that is potentially solvable and not a degenerative condition. It's rare and weird, and the main worry is that it will take time for the specialists to be able to see her while covid is raging around. Fingers crossed! She is in amazing spirits, and will be allowed to work starting on Monday if she promises not to lift anything over 4 pounds, walk around too much, and pretty much do anything but breathe and sit at her computer. Luckily she has lots of recruits to boss around  The Army is fun for that.

OK - off to try a new gluten free bread recipe so my taller half can satisfy his sandwich craving. Tally ho!

I'll have to check that out! Thank you for sharing your perspective. I know the frustrating thing for me is that no place seems to sell zero drop shoes. So we've ordered some online with our fingers crossed that things will fit right 😅
