Exercise - 40 minute walk on a snowy path over the river. I accidentally overslept and missed my usual workout time. Barely got to sneak in that walk but grateful to be able to do it. It was much needed for my sanity.

Iβve been debating how to categorize yesterday - pass or not. I was over my base calories but not cover my exercise calories, but I also am trying not to eat my exercise calories. I am also trying to figure out how to deal with the more subversive part of my brain that when told not to push a giant red button then must certainly push the giant red button while staring down the person that told me no (and I wonder where my child gets it from π). Iβve decided it may be helpful for me to have a once a week day that lets me use my exercise calories up while still not being a βpass dayβ. This will hopefully encourage me to feel like Iβm not being forced to do something I need to rebel against, while still keeping me in the βloseβ zone and not undoing work. A rebellion wothout technically being a rebellion Even if I am the one creating the rules. I swear my brain and my personality/body do not always have a solid connection and it feels like they are at odds. Lol. Technically MFP says I still have calories to eat, so Iβm not over per se. Right? Right. Maybe? I feel like Iβm walking this fine line between making a plan that works for me and making excuses and bending rules and Iβm not sureβ¦ but I feel like itβs worth a try since 2021 was categorized by way too many βF this, I donβt HAVE to do anythingβ moments. π¬π€¦π»ββοΈ
Feel free to tell me if I just sound like a whiny turd who is trying to bend the rules so they donβt have to make changes.
So Saturday is a β β β day, over base but my once a week under what MFP says I can eat. My official run was 2.75 miles but I def cleared 3 miles as before my official run we downloaded Jurassic World Alive (you go around your neighborhood shooting Dinos for DNA - powered off Google Maps) and we were running after the TRexs. Lol. Running isnβt a requirement but kiddo needs more exercise and is always sad heβs not faster for soccer, so saying βhurry up we need to get that TRex!β seems like a good way to sneak in the start of some good running habit.

@mshawski, you can eat your exercise calories every day, providing you are confident that you are not overestimating them. I usually eat about half of mine and it works just fine. Don't deprive yourself, you'll get miserable and may go overboard another day. Keep an eye on your weight trend and you should be able to check your estimates ( both calories in and calories out)4
