    Pets may cost lots but it’s worth every penny.

    @MeowScout
    It is important to take breaks when we need it. You have a great plan to get that pesky scale moving again. I know with me my weight loss is weird. I will drop a few pounds, then fluctuate up and down around that weight for a few weeks then another few pounds and the process repeats.

    @jimboden3
    The increased exercise maybe causing some water weight.

    @littleflutterby
    First line of the bingo challenge! 👏👏👏 That’s a great motivational quote.

    @tahm42
    You are doing well on your 2022 miles challenge. You are still recovering from surgery so weight loss maybe slow.

    Tell us about yourself.

    I'm in my late twenties mother of 1.

    2. Why are you on this journey? What pushed you to start?

    Over the past 3 years I have put on a significant amount of weight and up 3 dress sizes. My binge eating has been uncontrollable most days despite best efforts and I really want 2022 to be the year I finally get control and in health.
    I want my daughter to see a mum that is healthy and not mum snacking all over the place🤣🤣
    3. What are your triggers and how can you avoid them?

    Biscuits!!! Chocolates , granola ,sugary things in general. I am also triggered by salted roasted peanuts and chips as well as French fries.

    Avoid them by not buying them. Shutting down the cravings or better still trains brain to moderation.

    5. Do you have a favourite diet you go by?

    I am really not a diet person as I feel restricted and it causes even more binges.

    I might say a diet of calorie counting and a some parts of the DASH diet with an 80/20 rules for snacks /cravings( 20% of daily calories intake)is one of my favourites
    5. What is your favourite way to workout?

    At home,youtube videos with steppers ,jump ropes and weights.

    6. What are some of your goals this month? Year?

    1st goal loose weight to come out of the obese category.
    2. Finally beat binges.

    8. What do you expect to gain from the team? Do you have any suggestions?
    Motivation , inspiration, accountability, friendships.

    Happy Wednesday, Downsizers! Here's my check-in:

    Weigh-in:
    PW: 171.6
    CW: 170.7 (-0.9)

    1/11:
    Calories: 1,132
    Exercise: None - recovery day
    Steps: 5,107

    I'm feeling slightly frustrated that the scale didn't move very much after all of the exercise that I have been doing while still keeping calories around 1,200 - but - that's the way it goes - so I will just continue to stick to my calorie level and continue to work out! I hope you all have a great day!!

    Using the bingo card I posted, try to get as many squares as possible throughout the week. I will post the card again this morning. Let the team know when you get a line, two lines or hopefully a full card.

    Sharing some things to mark off a couple of squares on my bingo card:

    Three positives about me
    1. I never give up
    2. I am very kind
    3. I am trustworthy

    My goal for this week(did I share this already 🤷‍♀️)
    To get my bedtime routine back under control to help prevent nighttime eating.

    I have four lines.

    I think a smaller gain is not unexpected as you both had a really big loss last week and your increase in activity. The pain(inflammation) would be another contributor. Make sure you listen to the pain and not overdo it. On occasion I have pushed further than I should have and ended up having a few days of uncontrollable which sidelined me. Congratulations on your sobriety anniversary! That is a huge accomplishment.

    @28Haveitall2020
    Glad to see you back! I hope the team helps you on this journey.

    @Beautyofdreams
    Binges frustrate me too. I had a big jump on the scale yesterday morning from mine. Some of the bloat is gone today. Do you log your binges? My dietitian asked me to log them so I can go back over the logs to see if there is any patterns. From doing this I know a skipped meal will almost always cause a binge.

    @red1185
    I am sure you burned a ton of calories. I think when I was watching the different New Year’s Eve shows, Ryan Seacrest was cheering the dawgs on.

    @rwood566
    I am a betting woman. I think it will be 15k or above. Also, thanks I have that song stuck in my head now. Enjoy your day!

    @jayenguk
    Fantastic loss! Hooray for the holiday bloat disappearing.

    @Megan_smartiepants1970
    👏👏👏👏 on a line!

    @peng123
    Don’t be frustrated as you had almost a pound loss. There are so many factors that affect the scale: sodium, hydration, going to washroom, inflammation etc.

    ✅close rings
    ✅steps 6,485
    ✅log food daily

    Words to describe my walk outside yesterday: freezing, refreshing, short. I am sure I earned bonus calories from shivering. It’s much warmer today so I am going to do it again. The mini walks plus just normal movement around the apartment has helped me reach my step goal each day. I was able to fall asleep last night which helped with nighttime eating. Hope tonight is the same.

    Happy Hump Day!

    Good morning everyone, Sorry I haven't been posting, I've been dealing with some health issues related to my eyes. Had cataract surgery on the right eye a few days ago and I've been having trouble looking a the tablet screen and reading.

    However, it's starting to get a little better and I'll try to post more often.

    01/09. I don’t wear a step tracker and didn’t exercise that day. Sat around or slept.

    01/12. 40 minutes treadmill, 2.32 mi
    40 minutes strength training light effort

    Released from physical therapy and got some strength training advice and form check before I left. Yesterday in “NSV” thread posted that I could finally exercise in front of others without being embarrassed. Today found out that the guy I’m sharing the gym with is a competitive bodybuilder. Good thing didn’t find out until after the fact, so embarrassed but it didn’t kill me so will be back at it tomorrow.

    Hi guys, back from my mini break. It was lovely but I put on 4.2lbs in 4 days!! Ugh, I really didn't eat that much, I think it was purely from alcohol. So pissed that it took me 3 weeks to lose that much and only 4 days for it to go back on. Ho hum, back to it we go.

    @Megan_smartiepants1970 could you let me know what day the week starts so i can start posting my steps again please. ta
