On track today.
Is gluten withdrawal a thing? Holy cow, I feel hung over.7 -
Congrats to all the winners and champions and those who stuck around and everyone working to build healthier habits!
Yes x3. The blizzard last night didn’t bring a lot of snow, but the winds caused some pretty good drifts. Did 45 minutes of shovelling today. Functional cardio. Also yoga this evening.9 -

Happy, happy US African-American His/Her/Our Stories month. Shout out to Dr. Carter G. Woodson who created the week in the early 1900s!
Thanks for sharing this @ForLangston 🌟 We celebrate Black History Month in Canada for the month of February — same origins and reason for choosing February.

Congrats to all the January Winners! 🏅 Awesome work!
✔︎ 20+ mins exercise (47 min walk, 12 min strength, 15 min walk)
✔︎ Within calorie budget
✔︎ Track every BLT
Consistency Tracking (🔥=3 ✔︎'s, 🏴☠️=pass): 🔥-
Passes used = 0 / 3
Other habits I’m tracking this month:
✔︎ Meditation📿 (My goal is to meditate for 5+ minutes each morning; right now I’m doing evening/wind down guided meditations often but haven’t quite made my morning meditation stick yet.)
✔︎ Drink >64oz water💧(Target is 90oz but anything over 64oz is a win... 92 oz today!)
I use a habit tracking app for many other habits but these are the two I want to focus on for consistency this month🤩9 -

On track today.
Is gluten withdrawal a thing? Holy cow, I feel hung over.
@mshawski Yes ma'am, it certainly is a thing! For me, that "hangover" feeling only lasted a day or two. But since I've been gluten free, whenever I have the smallest amount of gluten (usually "hidden" in something), I won't be able to sleep at night. I rarely have trouble sleeping, but I can always tell when I eat something that has hidden gluten in it..... my body can sure tell!! Sometimes it's even made my heart race.... but the sleep thing happens to me every time. It's crazy frustrating!7 -

@mshawski Yes, definitely a thing. Gluten has opiode effects, at least for some sensitive people. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26825414/#:~:text=Gluten can be degraded into,on gastrointestinal lining and function.
I believe it is the book ¨The Mood Cure¨by Julia Ross (very good book, BTW) that goes into this more extensively, saying that sensitive persons get addicted to the gluten because their damage being done to their intestines is not being consciously felt by them but it is causing the body to release endorphins and it is then an addiction to the opiodelike effects.

Happy Lunar New Year and congratulations to all the winners! My nod to the Lunar New Year was to make an Asian Charred Cabbage Salad. A bit salty, but delish! I'll probably pay for it in water retention tomorrow.
I'm also officially 1 pound below my driver's license weight. :-)10 -
