"If money was no object, what would be your reward for reaching your goal weight?"
I traveled quite a bit when I was younger, throughout mainland America, some Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. (St Thomas & St John).
When I reach my goal Weight and I was financially & physically able, I would travel to Scotland, Israel, and throughout Europe.
Always had a desire to travel and not stay in one place. I'm single so if I was financially set that's what I would do travel everywhere. I really don't like staying in one place and I would love seeing all the amazing & wonderful places in this world 🌎 🌍 of ours.4 -
We are about to head out on our 1st walk in ummmm not sure how long ...I am going stir crazy being in my house3

Weigh In Day: Monday
PW (Previous Weight): 238.4
CW (Current Weight): 234.6
Hi all, here for Monday weigh in.
I think it may partly be to do with the fact I was lower on liquid and unsure on cals on Sunday so bit dubious on the accuracy of this drop, but feels good to not see the 237 number for once, shall see what happens next weigh in! Maybe it was partially hormonal the gain last week.
Had two NSV on Saturday, got asked if I wanted Greek food on the way home and declined and also when in a shop could of got bakery cookies that I like as rarely go in that shop, but I resisted. I'm still having bits and bobs through the week so not totally on prep stuff in weekday, but felt like victories.
Feeling a bit sore today as had a fall in the early hours of this morning in my garden out with dogs where I slipped on grass and ended up flat on my back, it was pitch black and strong winds amongst other things, probably not best idea to be carrying a heavy backpack and shopping today, but needs must! Aiming to get on bike whether mtb or stationery this week hopefully!
Have a great week everyone5 -
@Megan_smartiepants1970
02/19 no exercise
02/20 no exercise
02/21 walked 60 min. 2 mi. Light effort
If at goal weight and financially stable, I would get a tummy tuck with muscle repair as my stomach bulges out with diastasis recti which makes my core very weak and the waistbands of all my pants cut into my stomach. Not going to buy pants to fit my waistband (size 14) when the rest of me fits best in a size 4. Am booking consults with 2 plastic surgeons to determine costs and find out what can reasonably be done.6 -

Hi everyone,
Ya'll likely guessed it, but I am new to this challenge and will be joining in come March. Everyone has their story and I am no exception. My real name is Dazzy. I am 59 years old and consider myself still partially disabled. The docs say it is totally disabled. Durn docs, so discouraging eh?
Anyway, my struggle with weight has been a life long thing. There likely is not a single diet that I have not tried at one time or another. Same goes for exercise. At one time I could have opened up a gym as I had so many of various devices. Through a combination of short term diets and insane bursts of exercise, I managed to keep up a nice yoyo pattern of roughly 80#.
That is until about 10 years ago when my legs were crushed in an auto accident which left me in a wheelchair with lots of time to eat away my frustrations. Flash forward a few years and numerous surgeries, and I regained the ability to walk for short time frames. I also bloomed up to around 375# which I have been slowly whittling away. And poof, here I am.
Outside of the weight story, my life is pretty simple. I have no kids, 2 adorable cats who think they are better than kids. Due to the disability, I am "retired" and am still trying out new things to find both what I enjoy and what I physically can do to fill my time. Most of my current hobbies are sedentary things, like reading, painting, watching movies, etc.
I look forward to getting to know everyone as we journey through this next month.

Good evening everyone.
Check in for 2/21:

Exercise - walk in frigid, windy morning. 90 minutes. Haven't measured it yet but will be close to 5 miles.
Welcome to the team to all the new people.2 -

So interesting difference in my two appointments today. Had a lap band check up. I've had it for years but not been serious about my diet so it's really just pulled me back from the brink and stopped me getting worse. The big change has happened in the last 4 months when I finally got serious about my eating habits. Lap band guy was relatively unimpressed with my 13kg loss, told me I should think of going to 800-1000 calories a day and get up an hour early to go for a walk every day 😡. Well f you dude 13kgs (28 lbs) in 4 months is steady, sustainable, healthy weight loss.
Second appointment was getting another scan of my liver. Ultrasound tech was very encouraging asked me if I'd been on some sort of treatment since my first scan 4 months ago. I said no just diet change. She was very impressed with 13kg loss and said my liver looked much better compared to the first scan 🥰5 -
@tuxado
Welcome to the team! I wish you success in your weight loss journey.
@peng123
Glad you are sticking to your plan even though life has go busy.
@mszoueb
Fantastic loss! Great NSV’s. Sorry about your fall. How are you feeling today? Sometimes it takes a day before the aches and bruises from a fall show up.
@Beautyofdreams
I never heard of that before but in Canada I think something like that would be covered but our healthcare system is very different than yours.
@Megan_smartiepants1970
Awesome walk!
@Outdoorsy_Canadian
The weather was fabulous for Family day. I had every window open in the apartment and we sat on the balcony for awhile. A ravine walk sounds like a great family day activity.
@rwood566
Great step day! You did well on calories given you celebrated your daughters birthday. Snacking got me the weekend with my granddaughter here. Those calories add up quickly.
@Pippin20206
Your weight loss is amazing. Was the lap band appointment a doctor? You are averaging more than a pound a week. That is healthy weight loss. Great news on your liver. It’s been awhile since I had a scan but my last blood work my liver enzymes were up. Keep up the great work on your diet as it is really paying off with improving your health.

Swim 800 laps: 650/800
I had a pretty good swim yesterday(62 laps) My biggest frustration is the cortisone has wore off in my shoulder and I can’t do front crawl anymore. It breaks up the swim when I can mix up the strokes. I am going to go back to physio starting next week for my shoulder. I need to be diligent with the exercises. If it doesn’t start improving with the physio, I will get a cortisone at my next rheumatologist appointment in April. Today my goal is 50 laps, longer cardio than yesterday, legs and more abs.
Have a great day!5 -

I’ve learned to drink plain filtered water, which I never really cared for before. Switching to plain water has been life changing I drink my quota of water each day and it really is true sometimes you’re not really hungry just dehydrated.
@rwood556
I thought San Diego was the land of mild temps, sunny days, no humidity, light breezes. What’s up with frigid temps and cold winds?2 -

Another lazy day. We have had freezing rain since last night and the roads are not good. Am thinking that I will officially go to maintenance at the end of next month since March is my 2 year anniversary on this journey.4 -

What have you done well this month?
I have stuck with Keto even with headaches/migraines and hips hurting...and I lost weight along the way .. I am hoping I can workout more in March... I only worked out 1 day this month and that was yesterday when I walked 6.03 miles I do walk around my house a lot instead of sitting on the couch all day to get steps but I do not count it as exercise since I am not huffin and puffin and sweating3 -
@Megan_smartiepants1970 Thank you!!! I "finally" hit the join button, lol. I was looking ALL.OVER.FOR.IT!!2
