Hey Bella: No question 30g exceeds girl minimum fiber grams per day... but... I don't hear the word maximum anywhere  As long as you're happy and it is not crowding out nutrients or causing discomfort plus you feel like having some... why not?

Wait... frozen blueberries? Why does this seem like a sudden revelation to me for snacking? Like, I KNEW frozen blueberries exist cause I buy them. But I never thought about just snacking on some like you would frozen grapes. I LOVE frozen grapes but can't eat grapes anymore (trigger my IC) so was a sad panda... but now I feel the happy again! I feel dumb lol.

So it’s 6:30 a.m. and icy out there. 🥶 Debating whether to stay home or go to the gym which is fairly close? Walking outside in the dark is unsafe with ice. Probably will wait another hour to see what daylight brings. 🤔 I hate juggling my exercise schedule because I just started back last week.

Haven’t looked for Troo or other inulin products. I think it may be supplements only. Then again, I really don’t crave super sweetness or fiber bombs …….

Went to the gym after all. Roads not bad and I got in a nice hour long workout 🏋️‍♀️. Feeling pretty smug and happy with myself. It would have been so easy to pull the covers over my head today.

You ladies impress! I've just lifted my head up from the "other" keyboard/mouse combo (the one that buys tilapia for the girl!).... now to manage a walkies and some yogurt/apple acquisition!

    Got yogurt for me.

Dried the girl's tilapia... too long in the oven 🙀 pees a lot doesn't seem to mind😹

I still don't understand why tilapia is the official choice as opposed to any/all other farmed or wild caught fish: sure salmon or Basa might change things but tilapia vs Pollock vs whitefish vs sole I don't see the real nutritional difference or why it would make the dog's IBS react differently 🤷🏻‍♂️

Supposed to be working - which means doing a quick literature review for "Why Tilapia" looked very attractive!

Couldn't find any reason! Does it make a difference to the girl?

But, in the link and report for VitaFiber... which part is it that concerns you?
Yes, I wondered what scared you off it Laurie, as I read the report carefully and it reassured me that the product was safe in much greater quantities than I'd realistically ingest.

Oh - I just don't like reading so many polysyllabic terms in relation to my "food" - it feels too science fairish for my simple-fare-fantasizing brain :)

Dr food order: 1kg pasta, 1kg tilapia, 1kg squash, 30ml corn oil, + "Hillary's blend" = "magic" treatment for IBS feed 3 times a day, 2 pills 30 minutes before. 1 pill with. No treats. no deviations. or else you're at fault for sick girl.

Either you have an enormous dog or that’s several days/week of food?

Had my first weigh in yesterday and I am down 2lbs. Really happy about that! Hopefully I can keep it going. Even though it has just been a week, I do find I am less stressed about counting points then I am about calories. We will see if that continues as well.

But I am super frustrated with work. The state announced that state employees can be work from home 2 days a week. My agency has been work from home 4 days a week and been doing great with it but now we are being forced to change that. Problem is, at the start of the pandemic, we gave up a floor at the states central offices to another agency and they redesigned the other 2 floors with LESS cubicles. So I have NO idea how they expect this to work. I really don't care how many days I am in the office but I do care about being able to do my job at the best of my abilities. To do that, I NEED a specific equipment set up... but they can't guarantee that I can have that. So watch my productivity drop into the toilet on those days. Which means my stress levels will be up as I try to get most of my work done on the days I am at home.

We have about 680 employees in our office... and about 350 spots. We also have tables, but they don't all have access to power and I can say with 100% certainty that I can not do my job on just my laptop. Especially when my laptop has a horrible battery life because we normally keep them plugged into docking stations so we can use multiple monitors.

Congrats on the loss, @Athijade - the work situation sounds frustrating. Hope you can let that flow over you so that it doesn't get inside and agitate the hamsters.

    Does it work?

My girl has food sensitivities too. No IBS, but ear infections and bum licking (fortunately not to the point of skin irritation - just human irritation). But (butt? :) ) she cannot tolerate wheat at all, nor chicken as a base food - dehydrated bits as a snack seems okay. I've considered a raw diet for her to eliminate as much nonsense as possible, but as a vegetarian that is challenging - and the one product I've found that I think I can tolerate (cost and yuckiness wise) is too far to easily access (no bus there either, nor delivery :( )

Is your girl doing well on this?

We are very lucky that Willow seems to have the stomach of a goat….she has eaten and passed numerous inedible articles with no after effects…..she is on Hills Science diet and nibbles at it through the day and goes once a day plus trips out to pee!….in three years she has had one ear infection and one stomach issue…..she is overweight and lazy….one happy dog lol

Woohoo on the two A's doing good!

Girl is on about 1200 Cal a day. Now that I look at this and add the slices of almost burned toast as treats that can explain slight weight uptick as this is 4 days of food.

Laurie: pasta is semolina so not sure if it would work for you.

This has improved but not fixed the girl. Idea I believe is that it is easily digestible and transits fast.

Fish would work well as a protein for chicken

I'm back! I had a phone appointment today and got clearance to start working out again and doing housework, and since the surgery and getting on a total replacement hormone dose I have lost two pounds, and I feel great!

Still needing to nap sometimes, but I figure that will pass as I lose weight and get stronger.

Here's this week's wonderful menu. Boyfriend read it and said, "I just kept smiling and saying "Oh, yay!" with each new line." So we're going to eat well this week!

Yay for getting cleared! That is awesome!

And I agree with the boyfriend. The menu looks yum!

I like feeding people, so as long as you pitch in money on the utilities, I'm good with it. (grin) Though right now we're out of bedrooms.

Okay - I'm coming too, Alexandra. So happy that you are back and feeling stronger. Surgery takes a toll on your body - just the general anaesthetic itself. I'm so looking forward to how good you are going to feel soon!

Well, handled, not PAV. I so get it though.

I'm looking forward to March. I have a really good feeling about this month. Think I'm really moving into recovery now - walking is so much freer again (didn't realize I had almost developed a limp ! walking in a sort of curled fashion to protect my shoulder. Now that it is gone - a few people have commented...lol...
But the ice will be gone, my brain is clearer, I can shed this extra insulation, and move to Alexandra's to have good food!!!! Woohoo 2022 is going to be a great year :)

I fear moving in with Alexandra would be waaaay too tasty! Probably couldn’t stop with just one serving of any menu items. Delicious but I can’t understand how you can be cooking all that and still able to portion control. You are a better woman than I am! It’s wonde that you’re feeling so much better.

PAV that’s a pretty spectacular fall off the wagon there. But I think we’ve all been there many times. The aftermath is lots of clean up, rest, and calm. Hope today goes better for you. Stay at least six feet away from the fast food and donuts 🍩.
I find it rather ironic that your Girl doggy and I have the same daily calorie allotment. Perhaps I need to start chasing squirrels and fetching sticks?

Try this to secure the ring after you find it. Cheap, easy and comfortable. Amazon has packs of 15 of these little spirals in various widths. Like a dummy, I had my rings resized larger - and then lost a bunch of weight. Now I use these adjusters until I reach goal.
