@micki48 I hope the move goes smoothly. I know it is stressful but hopefully nothing unexpected happens. I had missed the news about your sister.🙏3

PW 146.5
CW 146.5
I got up to 148.5 this week, but I made my way back down. Unfortunately, food poisoning/virus last night had me lose 1.5 unexpected. Ugh! I need serious naps today before work tomorrow.6 -
Sunday weigh in:
PW - 189.1
CW - 190.1
I seem to have been free falling since the beginning of the year, and I feel really terrible about it. I think I need to step away from the scale for a few months. Could I please go on the Support Team?
Have a great day, Friends!
No problem! I think taking a break and experimenting for a while can be a great idea.3 -
@evangsimmons170 have a fantastic time in Hawaii! It is so beautiful there. Smell the flowers, enjoy the sea2

@micki48 thinking of you! Moving is SO exhausting no matter how much stuff you have to lug with you.
Very up & down mood for me this week, and same with the scale. Feeling so frustrated and stuck - like I have basically been gaining weight and worsening every aspect of my life since May 2021. Ugh!
Steps were pretty good this week with the exception of yesterday, where the crazy rain/snow/wind really caught me out! Bleh. Ready for SPRING.

The long-dreaded return to the office is upon me. I will go in tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday. And on Wednesday, I am giving my notice to my boss! Last day working will be April 1. Scary but necessary. Time to dump this job. Which means I only have to plan/pack/bring breakfasts and lunches for 9 days total! Not so bad. I'm doing egg muffins for breakfast this week which should be easy to transport and microwave. But I was totally drawing blanks on good lunches to bring so I grabbed a few frozen meal options (a Jimmy Dean Delights turkey sausage bowl and a Wegman's pasta dish). At least I can read a bunch on the train.6 -

I'm just not... there. Mentally. I know what I need to do but it's so much harder than it was.8 -
Hello all! We were NUMBER ONE for March week 2! Go check out the results if you have not already. No week is perfect - but there were a lot of good losses, both big and small. Over 61% of the team was in the green! That makes a difference, and we were the top losers both by % and by pounds lost for the week. Let's keep that going!
@bonnie_red too bad your weigh-in came in just a tiny bit too late! We would have won even better if your loss had been in there
I'm heading back north tomorrow evening and will be home Tuesday some time. Thinking of you this week @micki48 - every step in this week's count goes towards walking with you!5 -
@ashleycarole86 Steps and exercise for last week -
Sunday - 5791+ Pilates 15 + Bike 45
Monday - 6502 + nothing. sigh.
Tuesday - 16,900
Wednesday - 14,766 + Elliptical 30 + Pilates 15
Thursday - 10,728 + low impact aerobics 45 + Pilates 15
Friday - 17,204 + Elliptical 40 + Pilates 15
Saturday - 15,031 + Elliptical 45
The elliptical minutes should be a supplement like snowshoeing is since the step counts include it. Thanks!1 -
@KellyBgetsfit Yes, being a teacher is hard this year! My husband usually teaches 1st or 2nd grade but this year he took a reading intervention position. His intervention partner was new to the district this year and she was supposed to teacher part time math intervention and part time PE. She made a big deal about having more experience with reading and my husband felt pressured to switch jobs. Once they switched the other lady quit seeing students in the afternoon once my husband left the room to teach PE. The principal busted her doing her own personal laundry at work instead of seeing kids. It has just really bothered my husband. I even took him to a counselor for a bit. That lady was fired this past week. The principal is working on moving staff around and my husband will go back to reading intervention in two weeks. It's just been a bumpy year. My year hasn't been smooth either but not the same as my husband. I just finished a batch of IEP's and have a break before doing a ton in May. We have about 20 students moving to kindergarten who have severe autism! They will have to create new rooms there are so many. We have about 40 or so more kids going to kindergarten with IEP's too. Hang in there Kelly, it's been a year. When are you done? We go until mid June.5

@eggfreak I'm with you - in my case the chocolate has to go.
@micki48 You've got this! I pretty sure no matter how much decluttering has gone on, when moving, it will still feel like way too much is left. Will keep everything crossed for your sister, and your move.
I was reluctant to weigh in today but have chosen to face up to what I've done. I did brilliantly for 6-7 months last year but struggled for another 6 and now I'm way off base. Binge eating is not helping my stress/uncertainty/frustration (or weight loss!) and yet I keep doing it, so a new approach is needed. I've got a task on my to do list to research binge eating to understand it better; WW gave me a lot of knowledge so I may just want a refresher. As part of the task I'm going to consider therapy (I get a few sessions free through work), whether that ends up being for binge eating/coping mechanisms or the root causes of the stress/uncertainty/frustration.
Action plan:
1. Cold turkey on the chocolate until Easter (cereal bars, chocolate mousses and desserts if eating out are allowed, but no chocolate bars)
2. No eating after 9pm
3. 2L minimum of water every day
4. Minimum of 30 minutes exercise or 5,000 steps each day
5. Stay within calorie goal (requires tracking) - no eating exercise calories unless we're eating out
It's 9am and I've not eaten anything yet today, but I have drunk 1L of water, pre-tracked breakfast and dinner, and went for a run before work. Everything is stiff and I regret taking almost 2 weeks off training but looking forward to a chiropractor appointment tonight to start loosening things off.6 -
@happimess01 I'm so glad you share your journey as it transforms along the way. The game changers at close to goal are not the same ones as at the beginning of the journey - this is important to know! Post some videos of those boxing sessions if you can! Sounds like a blast.
yea, I was eating a ton of chicken in the beginning. Then I had a phase where I was eating a lot of low calorie icecreams. These days, I am so into yogurts with blueberries and raspberries so my staples move around a bit every 6-8 months.
I finally did my first pull up this March. It feels so weird and unnatural to execute the movement. I was like woah, look I am moving vertically by myself.

@happimess01 Sam, so glad you shared the video... so inspirational!! Also funny how foods we eat go in cycles eh...
As I get closer to my original goal weight I'm thinking a bit about what changes (if any) I'll make when I get there.
For now I think I'm going to still keep losing for a while yet... my goal weight was the top of my BMI range and by no means am I flab free at this stage. I'm happy though. I'm not sure where I'll want to eventually land, but I am confident I want to lose enough of a buffer below that weight so that if I have fluctuations I'm still within that range. It's more a doctor thing and wanting to take that item off the table for discussion.
Toying with thoughts of taking a smaller deficit and losing what's left at a slower rate, using my exercise calories as my deficit, that kinda thing. Just different ways of looking at it.
ANYWAY... my point is that I'm thinking about it, but I'll see. I generally think of other ways of managing my deficit to keep losing and then I think "nah... I like my method now". Lol. There is much thinking I put into it, but the simpler I keep it, the better.3 -
@DD265 I always admire your methodological approach to things (and sharing that with us). Research is my way of starting the process of working on things too. Hope you find what you need to address the binge eating.. I know how difficult that can be to manage.3
-
@Kali225 How did the return to office go?? Brad and I are not looking forward to it either. Your days in office can be counted on both hands. I'll start by wishing you luck on Wednesday giving notice... lots of emotions right now I imagine!1
-
@micki48 Will be thinking of your sister during her surgery tomorrow
What a lot to have on your mind at once
Hope the load up with the movers goes smoothly1 -
couple days of steps to catch up on for my reporting:
3/12 exercise:
10200 steps + 61 minutes Peloton
3/13 exercise:
8158 steps + 45 minutes Peloton
Last call for anyone wanting to report steps for Mar 6-12!
remember that for Mar 13-19 we are walking for @micki48 - looking as a team to cover the distance of her move (477 miles). We did 339 week 1 with 8 participants and we are likely down a couple by week 3... what can we achieve??? Nothing like a bit of extra motivation to get out there and push it. In all likelihood it's going to take us week 3 and 4, but don't let that stop you from giving it a little extra!4
