You should do some baking @jugar! I maybe don't relish the 3 hours it took to make 36 cupcakes (including time in the oven when I was washing up etc) but always enjoy the results!
24 pretty lemon drizzle cupcakes have gone into OH's work for his birthday. The 'rejects' have stayed home with me. I ate one yesterday, without any buttercream to see whether the cupcake with drizzle was enough (to cut calories) but I did think it needed something extra. I've eaten one with buttercream today, friends will take a couple, then there are a few with lemon flavoured glace icing as that was another thought I had for reducing the calories - will see what those are like when the icing has set. I do find even the buttercream ones freeze well so that's the plan for the remainder.
Should be going for a walk with a friend in a bit, though the weather is changeable. I have had some washing out (it's been sunny, if not warm) and I feel like the bed sheets were out for under 30 minutes but came in almost dry when it started raining as the wind had picked up. It's sunny again, but I won't hang anything else out now. I have things I want to do in the garden, but we keep having morning frosts so I am delaying.4 -
@jugar You have been a busy traveler lately! Let us know if you ended up making the cake. Brad is traveling for work again this week (so he will have to weigh-in on Friday btw) and it's the first week my Mom will be here and that I'm in the office so I am going to make her and I a big vat of bean mix chili soup to take for lunches or to have for easy dinner while he's away.
We looked up the Indian in Lloydminster and it looks good! He will have lots of meals out and he loves Indian so he just may make it over there!
@eggfreak Green pea guac sounds like it would be super summery and fresh! Yum!
@DD265 Holy crap!! Those cupcakes look AMAZING!! Are you sure you don't ship to Canada? LOL
Great weigh-ins @eggfreak @conleywoods @lauren_989 .... helping to off-set the big blowout red Brad and I contributed this week lol3 -
4/8 exercise:

Definitely up from earlier in the week. I'm blaming the burger, fries, and milkshake I had last night plus TOM. My mental health is a bit better, just waiting to see if it's a placebo effect or if the med changes are doing their job. Physio has been helping with some acute pain so that's good! Just waiting for the up and down weather to figure itself out and then I can enjoy some sun3 -
@DD265 those cupcakes! you could open a bakery and sell just those My daughter makes amazing cupcakes too - I don't have the patience. In any case I decided to make a mini-cake - somewhere between a cake and cupcakes. One layer instead of 2, or two really small layers if I have small pans somewhere, and half of it can come with me to my dad's. It was his birthday last month and I missed it, so this way the cake gets eaten by two birthday boys instead of one.
@eggfreak what a fantastic turnaround! You have had the power of NO on your side this week for sure. Don't celebrate by saying too many yesses3 -

@ashleycarole86 @jugar thank you! It's the first time the buttercream has turned out well - normally it looks awful and I end up smoothing it with a knife. Borrowed a friends piping nozzle (bigger than mine) and it made all the difference. The glace ones are nice enough but not that much lower in calories, so I'll probably just do buttercream ones in the future.1

Slouching into the end of a long week! My eating has been odd with portions all kerflooey…I finally got the more active job that I’ve been trying for since the late fall and know I’ll reign it in, now.
Putting a plan into action for the rest of the month while I go to Boston for a pet sitting gig will help.
More soon!4 -
Saturday check in. Food is under calories but not the healthiest. Definitely enjoying some spring break indulging. I have been craving cupcakes so we picked up a dozen from the bakery today. @DD265 Those cupcakes look fantastic and I love lemon flavored baked goods! I am still really slowly building my running program. My calves get tight and that can really get the plantar fasciitis flared up. Today I focused on walking but improving my pace. I improving my pace from 27 minutes a mile to 20 minutes a mile. Much faster so happy with that.6

Good morning on Sunday. Weekends are harder for self control for me, the day is less structured and the food is all there. After a Friday evening social that went 'ok' foodwise - I was faced with Saturday, and the slight craving for salty fatty goods (from the wine Fri pm). I said no to potato chips and served up vanilla icecream & cake to dad without sampling a drop. My indulgence however was my lunch... brie & tomato on french bread - transporting me back to a France trip....then I had a second one. C'est la vie!! And it's all gone now so no more temptation today.
Will take some time later today to prep good foods for the work week.4 -

Well done WAs!!
We did not have the overall team loss to make it into the top 3, but vacations happen, right? I have a feeling next week's total is going to be much more impressive

Hi everyone!
I am so sorry for forgetting to check in 🙈🤷
It was busy week working in schools. I am on two week holidays now and only working in the hotel.
CW is sadly 222.0 lbs 🥺
I've let myself down 🥺 Eating on the go is never good thing, but I'm hoping with time off and lovely weather it will make me feel more motivated 😄
Hallo to you all, new and old friends 😄 let's smashed it on April 🥳4 -

@conleywoods
Could you add me in the Step Challenge for April and May? I am travelling and probably walking will be my dialy activity.
My pledge is 7000 steps, today I walked a bit more, but my legs won't to resist to this number everyday.

@deniners2 Yes! You can hit the 140 mark - we're all rooting for you!
@ashleycarole86 my thoughts are with you as you move your mom in - that is a HUGE thing, and will certainly be quite an adjustment. I know my back would be more useful to help carry boxes and stuff, but don't forget that any time you need to unload things, this is the place for you too, even if you're the best co-captain in the universe! Your mom is a super lucky person
@KellyBgetsfit Happy Birthday! And you sure rocked those steps and exercise this past week. Well done!
@veronica1359 I love seeing your steps in Portuguese! I wish I could visit Brazil again sometime - I had three lovely trips there. It was fantastic - even though it was for work, the people, food, projects, and the beautiful country were a treat.5 -

@veronica1359 That is awesome you are getting more steps in! @ashleycarole86 keeps track of the steps and I'm sure she will be happy to add you!
@KellyBgetsfit HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎂 🥳 🎈You also had a really amazing week too!
@eggfreak Great job this week! Keep it up
@ashleycarole86 Wow! Moving your mom in is a big deal. My husband and I have been living next door to his parents for 8 years now. There are some really great things about being that close. Sometimes it can get hard too. Boundaries are important and it takes time to find the right balance. It's good that lake season is around the corner and you guys have your trailer for get aways. That will definitely help the transition. Does your mom have friends and hobbies that she likes to go do? My in laws best couples friends are in Canada and they haven't seen each other in years. We definitely miss them getting together 😆🤭😏
My eating is not great and it's the last day of spring break. Thankfully my routine will be back to normal. Tomorrow I am just working a half day and then taking a half personal day. My mother in law and I will do some easter shopping for the kids and grab lunch. Then I am getting my hair colored and I am really excited! I have been growing my roots since covid and have just done a little bit of highlights to blend it. I have some grays and a lot of ash blonde. The plan is to do a balayage to blend it together and maybe some blonde on the end. Wish me luck because I was told it could take 5 hours 🙃 because I have so much hair.6
