Leeks is another veggie added to the list of ones I like. The potato leek soup was really good! I may add a little less water next time so it’s a bit thicker but otherwise I would make it again without changing anything. adding a bit of cheese and bacon to the top of it also made it more delish.

Here is the recipe I used, I looked at several and went for the one that looked easy and didn’t have heavy cream.
At some point I want to try this one too, minus the wine(I don’t drink, while fine with using it in cooking, feels silly to use just a bit and let the rest go to waste). Main thing is that is does not purée the potatoes like most recipes do.

Gloria- I finally tried the onion Jam today with my toast this morning. I really loved it! I can see myself going through that jar fast. I adore onions so my viewpoint may be a bit skewed. I need to track down a cheaper supplier if I want to use it more often, it was $10 for a jar. It’s kinda an off item though, I looked for some at a couple chain grocery stores and a Mennonite store with no luck today. I did find a bacon jam with onions in it that I couldn’t resist getting though.

Tried a new recipe from a strawberry cookbook, didn't even realize until gathering ingredients it was also onion jammed themed. It was sauteed chicken breast with Strawberry-Onion Jam and made brown rice for the side. So nummy! To sweet for my mom's taste though1 -
