I’ve just been aiming to eat below maintenance for last week and this week. I’ve been wanting to eat more as well @vicky2767
It’s frustrating, there’s a part of me that knows that I’d be fine without eating xyz but the other part of me wants all things. I’m not sure if my body expects more food now after my few days of indulgence after the farmers market, If it’s due to pms, if I’m impressionable after reading cooking books, some other things or a combination. I’ve been trying to drink more water, it helps sometimes but not all.

I do have a cookbook problem at the moment. Went through the list of my local libraries new cookbooks from the last couple years and have so many I want to look though. I have 10 checked out right now and each time I go to the library I see more of interest. I enjoy looking through them and have found some nummy recipes, I have taken pictures of enough recipes that I could have something new for dinner for the next two years. Need to stop checking them out at some point

    Goals/Comments:

    Praise'm Praise'm Happy Thursday

As many of you know Thursday's is my assessment day which consists of self-care to how I may be a healthier me. Well for the past 2.5 weeks I've been dealing with another COPD-ASTHMA flare up. I realize that this happens usually after I've been consistently going to water aerobics for 2 weeks straight or more. 😫😨😱😬😥

Decided to do some research and low and behold the cons for swimming or water aerobics:
    Cons for swimming with COPD:

    Pool chemical induced flare-ups
    – Chlorine and other chemicals used in the maintenance of a swimming pool can trigger a flare-up of COPD‼️ symptoms. These chemicals can irritate your airways and induce a coughing or wheezing attack. Indoor pools tend to have air that is more saturated with chemical fumes so try to avoid them if at all possible.

Overexerting yourself is easier than you might realize – The whole body is used when you swim, causing the heart and lungs are taxed fairly hard. It seems contradictory to the concept that swimming is suitable for beginners, but swimming can go from relaxing to excessive quickly. Start your exercises simple and progress over time.

The heat can cause trouble – Unfortunately, the best—and sometimes the only—time of year to use an outdoor swimming pool is during the hottest months of summer. It can be challenging to manage the heat with lung disease. To combat the risk of overheating, drink lots of water and keep an eye on the weather report. Opt for indoor and air-conditioned exercise on the hottest days.

So have to consider outdoor pools going forward. Yes it will make it more difficult but better to be healthy on this journey than not right? 🤔🤔
