    Weigh-in Day: Monday (Aug 29, 2022)
    PW: 233.4
    CW: 229.8

Finally a weekend when I didn't totally blow it! I've been bouncing around 229 on and off over the last few weeks but the weekend events have tended to upend my weight loss plans. We actually had 4 couples over Saturday night for "Corn hole and Cocktails" (Susan's idea) and we all had a great time with the semi-formal tournament play. I cooked hamburgers with the full toppings bar, Susan made a lighter-style coleslaw and the others brought various appetizers and deserts. I had an apple and some raw veggies beforehand so as to avoid circling the potato ships like a vulture and it worked! Sunday we walked around the Botanical Gardens to get my steps in. Anyway, it was nice to have a fun weekend and a good Monday weigh-in.

Good evening all. Hope you had a great weekend.
    Check in:
    Steps - 14422
Calories - 2450 or so. Went to beer fest at sea world. Ate food but drank no beer. The food had beer in it. Some was good and one was great.
Exercise - walk in morning. 1 hr 25 min.

Steps for 8/27: 4369. Sorry megan.

Beer fest sounds like fun. I would definitely have tried the beer. What kind of food did they have with beer in it?

Really pleased as I ve been visiting my mum in the UK for the last 5 days and my mother is a feeder!! Weather's been good so I've upped my steps and I've been making good food choices!

Fantastic loss! Losing weight when on vacation is such a great feeling.

    Last weeks steps:
    Mon 22nd- 11,503
    Tues- 10,821
    Weds-15,023
    Thurs-9,606
    Fri-10,276
    Sat-12,157
Sun-4,317 - we went on a long road trip to Charmouth in Dorsett, fossil hunting on the beach and a picnic, was a nice day.
My steps have been good this week but there were a few days that I could have been better with diet, so that's my goal for the coming week-to eat healthy. Also aiming to get up early before work for exercise 🤞

Your steps are great. Fossil hunting is so much fun. Good luck with both your diet and exercise this week.

Awesome loss! Great job on having a healthy snack before dinner. I laughed when you said circling the potato chips like a vulture because it describes me perfectly when there is chips around.

Quick swim yesterday. I am going to Sparta this morning to go to a candle shop. We will probably do some walking around though it won’t be reflected in my steps tomorrow. Having lunch out but I will make good choices.

I make sure I hit the gym 5 days a week and I find new healthy recipes on Pintrest to keep from getting bored with food. I also never go over my calorie limit(before exercise. I never dip into those extra calories)

Hello Everyone, My name is Marie, and I'll be joining you for the September challenge.

My main goal is not to just lose the lbs, but improve my over all health. It's not easy to start over at nearly 60 years old. (Old habits die hard) as the saying goes. I would like to be in better health as I slowly enter my senior years, so I can truly enjoy them. 😀

Thanks for allowing me to join this awesome group

@fatfifties- I officially don't start until September. However, I was wondering if possible could I join your 21 lb gone by Christmas. I'm hoping to lose at least that amount or a little more. Thanks! Marie.

Good evening all. The heat is here for the next week at least. Triple digits will make my walks hard.
    Check in:
    Steps - 16475
    Calories - 2200.
Exercise - walk late morning. 2 hours even. Added a bit of shopping while out. Looking for multivitamins.
Want to play pickleball indoors tomorrow and probably gym for the next week.

@lindamtuck2018 the best beer food they had was pulled pork, mashed red potato with stout beer gravy. They had a creme Brule with a pale beer, fish tacos with beer batter, which were boring since we can have those all over town anyway. We are having Salisbury steak tomorrow with mashed spuds and I am thinking on trying to make the stout gravy.

Welcome! There are a few of us in our late 50’s on the team. I just turned 58 myself. It’s never too late to get healthy. I am now insulin free with my A1C in the non diabetic range. If you go back and read Roger’s introduction at the beginning of August you will see a truly inspiring story of getting healthy.

    Steps: 4,195
    Exercise: 1/5

I impressed myself with my eating at the restaurant yesterday. I split a meal with my friend and didn’t even eat all mine. I am not impressed with all the money I spent on candles and wax melts. I am planning on laps and maybe arms today. I need a good stretch because I was sitting a lot yesterday.

    @Megan_smartiepants1970
My steps are posted wrong for Sunday. That number was my unconverted steps. My steps should be 9,977 for Sunday. Sorry for the error.
