The October Habit Tracker is up and running if you want to plan ahead and pick your commitments for the next month:
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10900392/habit-tracker-october-2023#latest
If you choose those habits to track and doggedly follow through, you'll have the information you need to progress and/or learn where the issues are. It helps build those tenacity muscles!1 -
@wishfuljune - I have a spin bike at home. I've had it for six months or so. I've used it twice and my husband tends to hang things off it, like the towels we use to dry our dog's feet. But, I end up at spin class two to four times/week. It is just better not creating the playlist and having the energy of the coach and all the other spinners.
@ashleycarole86 - you called the green this week and you were right! Nice work!4 -
@ashleycarole86 great loss this week
I am keeping my momentum to green this week up. Had a good workout before work and have been making all my meals at home - love all the produce I"m getting from the garden. Weekend is so close.4 -

Hi WA's... You have a returning member joining your team for October .. Please welcome back @JScottJr19883

CW 176.1 I'm up and not too surprised - was a doozy of a week between work and home, not having enough veg/greens in the house and bringing in Ice Cream for my old dad - in his last days he deserves ice cream...not just pudding (which I find much easier to ignore). and so he had ice cream and I had it too. I can't remember who on here posted about just going ahead and getting a 20 minute walk in in the midst of not doing great, and I want you to know you inspired me too, getting out even for ten, twenty minute walk is better than NOTHING. Looking forward to October...had some green this month and would like to see a whole month of green next.
All the talk of peloton and other exercise equipment has me keeping an eye on our town's Buy Nothing FB page - will try to grab something I can set up in the house for the winter.
We had barely any snow last winter (not complaining) but, getting some light exercise now pulling weed trees and making a trail in our small woods....for a future snowshoeing trail.5 -

Hello lovelies
I need to pass on my weigh in this week.
See ya next Friday for sure!!2 -
Weigh in day: Friday
CW: 217.8
Finally a mini whoosh!4 -
@KellyBgetsfit You bet, lovely to see you back!
Welcome @JScottJr1988 .. looking forward to learning more about you
In terms of stationary bike talk, I was always bored out of my mind on a bike at the gym. What changed it for me is how engaging the Peloton instructors are. The music, the banter.. it's very motivating. I work way harder because of that than I ever would motivating myself on it.
I have to say... I feel in the groove this past week. Binge eating minimized.. making good choices.. lots of exercise. It feels REALLY good to be on track.4 -

I don't know if I have ever been the same exact weight week over week but here it is! Actually pretty happy with it because it was another busy week, including 1 woek event with drinking (I had 3), and a farewell party last night for my friend who is moving (I think I also had 3 glasses of wine).
September FLEW by. Cannot believe it. Looking forward to a WAY less busy October and my birthday at the end - would love some progress to be a present to myself. I started my 6-week challenge of workouts (today is the 4th workout) and I am liking it so far! Last night I was worried I would miss the workout since I was hosting the party - but I actually convinced 2 of my guests to do the quick HIIT workout with me at like 10:45pm, after wine and food!! Lol maybe not the best for our stomachs but our form was pretty good and very synchronized!
Behind on reading - resolving to be a little more present here in the chat for October.5 -

I am going to take a look at my week and make whatever adjustments I need to make to move forward. Exercise was good this week with 2 Caroline Girvan workouts, a 45-minute spin class, and a pilates workout.3 -

Weight In Day: Saturday

A busy week this week, getting ready for a garage sale (yard sale) on Sunday to hopefully get rid of all of the household stuff that I have been storing since I cleared out my Dad's unit in August. Had started unpacking boxes and setting things up a couple of days ago, but a sudden line of storms came through which sent me scurrying around trying to get everything squeezed into a small area out of the rain! Now I'm sending positive thoughts that the bargain hunting hordes will descend upon us on Sunday and buy, buy, buy!3 -
Hi @jugar
I'm feeling the need to take a break for a while. Would it be okay for me to be sidelined to the bench for October please?1 -

Even though there's a slight gain, I was pleased that by being more conscious about my eating while traveling, I did s better job than usual.4 -

Let's see how exercise is going so far this week!
Sep 24 - 9045 steps + 78 minutes Peloton
Sep 25 - 8882 steps + 32 minutes Peloton
Sep 26 - 11823 steps
Sep 27 - 11110 steps
Sep 28 - 5582 steps
Sep 29 - 4987 steps + 31 minutes Peloton
Work was busy so I was a bit lacking on my steps at the office! Boo. Still happy about the Peloton riding to make up some of the gap.4 -
Hi please I would like to be exempted from this week’s weigh in. I’ve been terribly ill this week. Thank you x4
