@YinxFed
Absolutely, I've updated your step pledge to 7K!
To all participating, I can't reiterate enough that every step is celebrated and that we all have different targets for what success is for each of us.. and I remember in the past @strong_fit_ells mentioned feeling like she got TOO much due to the active nature of her work... point is, there is no comparison in this.. and setting your own individual step + exercise target lets me recognize that!
On that note, I don't have pledges from the following, so you won't be included in the "consistency" stats unless you provide me your exercise target (step + exercise equivalent step conversion total):
@StayFITTer
@lindamartin27
Not everyone likes to make a pledge and that's okay too! Just wanted to make sure you weren't missing out if you do in fact have a daily target for yourself.
Brad and I got on the Peloton again today .. first ride after the Pelofondo.. our butts are still sore so it was tough but I'm glad we did it. We did have two indulgent restaurant meals in the last two days though and we're travelling back east Thurs-Mon so we need to be making good choices.
@jugar Safe travels. Hope your dad is settling in okay.5 -
Jan 21 to 27 exercise:
Jan 21 - 3895 steps + 62 minutes Peloton
Jan 22 - 4983 steps + 50 minutes Peloton
Jan 23 - 8559 steps + 31 minutes Peloton
Jan 24 - 10337 steps
Jan 25 - 15788 steps
Jan 26 - 7954 steps
Jan 27 - 1868 steps + 377 minutes Peloton3 -
Hi 👋
I’m Michelle, most everyone calls me Chelle. I’m in Conway, Arkansas. My hubby and I have been married for 10 yrs. We have two daughters from his 1st marriage. They are both grown and out on their own.
I’ve been with the same company for 21 years. I’m currently a Relationship Manager.
My goals are to make 2024 the year of me: physically, mentally, spiritually. I also have a goal to get 10k steps every day this year. So far.. meeting all goals.
That past few years, have been about me holding the weight of others drama and sadness. Pun intended. The strong one everyone leans on. My cup is empty, so the focus has to be me first, then others. I’m excited to be apart of this and look forward to what is to come.

Welcome @ChelleChelle1031! This is a great group!
@ashleycarole86 that is awesome you got back on the peleton! I probably wouldn't have been able to walk never mind ride again lol.
It has been a good week. Looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow. The past few days I have been tracking my food the night before. It's amazing to see how much that helps!! I can plan out my day and make adjustments if needed.
We leave for Florida tomorrow. I have my food planned out, but won't get many steps in. Nothing like a 9.5 hour drive after working for 5 hours. IF I wake up early enough, I will go to the gym to get some cardio and steps in, but I want to make sure I get enough sleep for the drive. It's amazing how tired I get in the car. I blame it on my parents because that's how they would get me to nap as a toddler 😂5 -
@lauren_989 Bon voyage! I hope your drive to Florida goes well - and no sleeping at the wheel I like that you have discovered the power of pre-tracking food. I always found that strangely relaxing - no decisions to make, eat the things on the list, stop when it is gone. For me, it makes it easier to stick with the plan. I'll bet your weigh-in tomorrow will be green
@ChelleChelle1031 Thank you for joining us as you give more to yourself. Being the strong one, the one who your family and friends rely on, is gratifying but exhausting. Good for you for taking a step to work on your health! I hope you'll enjoy this group.
I'll be heading home tomorrow! Up early, get packed and ready, one more visit to Dad and then on the road. Not as long as your trip @lauren_989 but 5 hours and then a nice half mile walk up my hill. It will be good to get home.3 -

Good Morning Beautiful People!!
Last day of PTO, man I need to figure out how to win the lottery. I love my job, but wouldn’t it be nice to not work, bills paid, and all the time in the world to focus on YOU!
Hit the gym already, breakfast & coffee, and quiet time.
Plans for today include manicure, pedicure, checking out a new gym, and nap somewhere in there.
I hope you have a terrific Tuesday. As I use to tell my daughters when they leave the house… “make good choices today.”

Definitely a green week for me! I am going to try my hardest in FL to at least maintain. I hate starting a new month in the red.
@ChelleChelle1031 I alway say I need to win the lottery, but I never play 😂6 -

@ashleycarole86 - Monday, January 29th - 5,630 steps, 2 hours of league bowling - three games. My back started having spasms in the first frame of the second game. That definitely did not help my game or my steps.
Welcome @ChelleChelle1031! This group is a lot of fun.
@lauren_989 - I am glad to know that my parents weren't the only ones to use the car as a method for putting me down to nap. Cars always put me to sleep, unless I'm driving, and I blame my parents for that, too.
Lastly, I too wish I could win the lottery. I haven't been the happiest with my job for a while, but I'm kind of stuck since my husband has no drive and there aren't many positions that pay this well in our area.5 -
@ashleycarole86 my goal is to do minimum 7k everyday. I’ve been stretching to 10k most days this month…In Feb I might bump up to a solid 10k3

Love this quote - thank you 😊2 -
@ashleycarole86 strangely I do remember our conversation about me feeling guilty because I had to do those steps due to my work and not because I wanted to do them. You were so kind to me then Thank you. I'm not sure why I feel the way I feel about these things. I feel I need to post the screenshot from my Fitbit as a proof that I am not lying about walking my steps. I think it has something to do with my mean stepmum She was always putting me down and making fun of me when I lived at home. Maybe thats why I feel like I need to prove myself to everyone I think this feeling of being not good enough is something for me to work on this year
That being said here is the photo of my steps for last week

No sorries needed here! You are so welcome, and one of the beauties about having a weigh-in day early in the week is that it is fine if you're a bit late! The Saturday people always have to be on time
I think you are right to see that working on your feelings of not being good enough is super important! You are always good enough. You are doing the best you can. Every day. You are such a hard worker! Some days you might feel like "the best you can" isn't great - but it is. I love your spirit, the way you pull through the struggles, and come out with that beautiful smile we can even "see" in your words. Believe it!0 -
Made it home! That walk up my crazy hill at the end sure felt great. It has been 9 days of WAY too much sitting. Tomorrow will see me back to getting outside, moving more, breathing the fresh winter air. Even though I have to go to the dentist in the morning
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far, and that the lovely Wednesday people (and guest!) are ready to roll!

Welcome home @jugar and yes @ChelleChelle1031 welcome to our group and thanks for all the great energy so far. We love getting to know everyone!
Today was a funk of a day... my work day kicked my butt, we got home late, I just felt off.. yeah. Mentally not feeling well today. Anyway, we crawled in bed early.. I didn't sleep well last night nor did Brad so that's probably a good thing!
I did close my diary today at least - it was over on calories but I did track every bite!4 -

Good Morning Beautiful People!
Started the day at my new gym. The hubby and I changed gyms. The old one was too small, got crowded. Which is fine, except when they don’t have gym etiquette and well there was some shady stuff happening….
Anyway, got a great workout in this morning and well on my way to my daily goal of 10k+ steps. Back to work **whomp whomp whomp** today. However, I declare today to be a drama free work day 🤭.
So here is a thought. I’ve been known to get in my head about my past choices… that they are the reason I’m obese. They are the reason I’m at the gym and watching my food choices. Here are my new thoughts… my past allows me to appreciate my present and my future. Whatever you do today, choices you make, make sure it nourishes your soul & brings you joy.

@ashleycarole86 - Tuesday, January 30th - 4,474 steps
@jugar - I will be a day late with weigh-in. Every two weeks we have a meeting with the owners of our company on Wednesday. Due to travel and the holiday, the last meeting we had was at the beginning of December. They decided to have our meeting on Tuesday this week. Also, the crew lunch we normally have on the last Thursday of the month is today so that we can fit it into January. All of that being said, today felt like Thursday and I did not weigh myself.
@ChelleChelle1031 - Thank you for sharing those inspiring thoughts. I definitely needed to hear them.3 -

Not a great week. I had some triggers that lead me to some old habits. I have no ability to weight in next week. I’m off on vacation. Have a great week4 -
Last night I was unable to post on here. I usually do at the end of my day. My dog has seizures. And as we were preparing for bed he had one. It was a bad one. He threw up twice and was shaking. Poor guy. I did get in 2 workouts on FitOn last night. One involved weights and lunges. My hips don't like them like they used to. But they are done and now I am sore in a different way than yesterday.6

Lauren_989 - I’m having no issues with the app. Have you tried deleting the app and adding it back? Checking for an update?1 -
My exercise is starting to make me feel toned…wowza! I like it.
One of the coaches talked about food hacks and choosing protein and veggies for meals each week. I can see how that would be helpful, even though my immediate reaction is more skeptical. I’ll try it this weekend for next week and see how it goes. Maybe it’ll be boring but having servings pre-made would be like pre-logging…thus, with a shot!
Happy end of the month. Here’s to February!!4 -
Steps if it’s not too late.

Just checked and I was able to load the chat on my app.
@zumbaforever
That would be hard to watch your dog go through that. Poor guy indeed. Good job pushing yourself in your workouts.
@cleaneater80
Have a great vacay! Can't wait to hear all about it!
Well, tomorrow we leave work a bit early to catch a plane to Toronto to go celebrate Brad's mom's 85th birthday. We come home Monday. Just been busy packing and getting ready tonight.4
