My starting weight in May of last year was 185.4, so I've lost 30lbs, it's been tough figuring out what works for me, but I think I have it food wise, I'm just not there with the exercise, I don't really like exercise... I know it's important, not only for weight loss, but for health, I just have to work on that.
@Gidgitgoescrzy You may feel this way but to the outside world (us) you are killing the exercise with your goals. You may not like it, but you do it. Kudos to you.
Today was a surprisingly good day for me. I logged all my food, was under calories and closed out my diary. I have over 9,000 steps and took a 25 minute walk. So yay! I guess I had a just about perfect day.5 -
checking in well before midnight! yay.
Pretty good day for me - I was more resolute about leaving work on time, easy commute home, got a few admin things done at home, and then dance cardio with my girlfriends. It was a great 45 min playlist. got sweaty!
I had a weird lack of appetite today - didn't eat much of my lunch. For dinner I made a whole plate of blistered shishito peppers which were great. Going to have a little dessert now - I finally made another batch of baked apples (granny smiths, a little butter, cinnamon, and tiny bit of brown sugar) for the first time in maybe a year. Great to microwave up on a chilly night!4 -
OMG I am being @Kali225 - it's LATE!!!
I have been sitting at my laptop just about all day. The danged first draft of the report I'm writing/editing from someone else's endless pre-first draft is killing me! I'll get there... but ......
SO - who's up for Wednesday? Looking forward to these numbers:
@kerdil08
@strong_fit_ells
@lauren_989
@MaddawgMadsen
@Gidgitgoescrzy
Thanks! And good night!5 -
Good Morning Beautiful People
If you had asked me a year ago, I would have told you things are “better”. I have a home, a 21+ year career, happy marriage and because of my depression medicine coupled with food I coped with any stressors in my life. What broke for me to realize it was only “good”
November 2023 - Diagnosed with Severe, not moderate, Severe Sleep Apnea. This made me analyze things.
See my mom has adult onset diabetes. Due to complications she had a below the knee leg amputation about three years ago. My whole life I tend to take after my mom, ex: she is a migraine sufferer and so am I. You would think that event would have been a wake up call for me. That the path I was walking was leading me to adult onset diabetes. Nope, life was “better”, so why would it have been.
After the diagnosis and getting my machine. I realized that life was good, but could be better!
I’ve now weened myself off the depression meds and using healthy outlets to cope. The doctor says my sleep apnea will improve with weight loss but likely I won’t be able to reverse it.. Challenge Accepted!
All this to say, is your life good, or are you already in better? Raise the bar ☺️

I wasn't going to weigh in today, because it was much higher on Monday and Tuesday., but I'm good with my 1lb bounce back after a big loss.
I did not complete my goals yesterday, I was to do 30 min yoga, and 20 min treadmill, but got busy with other stuff, I did get on the treadmill for 35 minutes, but no yoga.
@micki48 you are too kind, thank you.

I feel this slight gain might be from muscle gain because I'm going through another phase where nothing fits. I've been pulling clothes that I saved years ago for when I lose weight. I have been in this plateau for a few months, so I haven't lost weight, but I've lost enough mass that even these clothes don't fit. Also, I allowed myself one gluten reduced beer last night and feel a bit bloated. So, this could be beer bloat weight. Next week will be green.
On the positive side, the only workout day I've missed so far this week is Monday and I have a good plan to get the rest of my workouts in this week. We might close on our house sooner than originally expected. And, I am dealing with work stress better than I have in a while.5 -
@ashleycarole86 - Tuesday, February 6 - 6,047 steps, 75 minutes of CrossFit3

Woohooo Dr finally called me, Nothing to worry about with the pancreatic cysts, said they are small and completely harmless, but will scan them once a year to see if there are any changes.10
-
@Gidgitgoescrzy - that is FANTASTIC news! I am so relieved to hear they are harmless and that you are fine.1

Good evening Waistaways 🥰
Today is first day I feel like a human being. Last week was horrendous. My TOTM started at weekend and I felt like someone hit me with a brick 😢 My belly was so painful, it felt like people are pulling me from all sides in diferent directions 😢 All I did was work and sleep.
I feel better today and tomorrow I am going to be back to my chirpy self 😁
Today I feel better because I visited our future puppy, Maxi 🥰 she is 6 weeks old and in 2 weeks she will be ours 🥰 I cannot wait 🫣🥰🤭😍

The sad thing is, I gained the weight after I got back from florida. Went to work with a bunch of snacks on my desk and ate out yesterday. Gotta get back to it.
@Gidgitgoescrzy great news!
@strong_fit_ells Maxi is adorable!!!6 -
I love that photo @strong_fit_ells ! Of both of you I'm glad you're feeling better after your bad week. That puppy will sure help to cheer you up (and drive you crazy too!).
I finally got up off my desk chair at 1 pm today, and the report draft is sent off! Now I get a day or two to relax while the important people examine it and let me know what works and what doesn't. Then it's back to editing until the thing is finally out of my life next Wednesday. I will go and celebrate with Jasper tomorrow
Thanks for the inspiring messages - never fails.6 -
Hey ya'll, quick check in.. been busy at work since we got back and I feel exhausted. And then my brain has been on overdrive.. couldn't get to sleep last night because I was worrying about cleaning of all things. Ack!!
Some of the trip weight has started to come off, but not all. I have lots of work to do to make February a loss month since I started with a gain and have Jamaica at the end of the month. I can't function well in a pressure mindset.4 -

Take off the pressure if you need to - make the plans, make good choices as much as possible, and you'll get there! If you don't have the loss of your dreams, at least you'll be moving in a good direction with less stress. You might surprise yourself! And sleep-cleaning is overrated! Lay off that stuff!3 -

quick check in! had a nice walk tonight after dinner. had a huge victory on the homefront - I finally washed my pile of "hand wash only" sweaters that has been sitting in my closet for anywhere from 4 months to 2 years. yay!6

I am behind. Worked a Commissioner meeting late last night. I did do a lower body workout this morning. Will catch up more tomorrow.
@Gidgitgoescrzy great news.
Thanks for the name suggestions. Will post a photo of him Friday. Along with his or her name.

Good Morning Beautiful People!
I woke this morning with a headache. I suffer from migraines. This wasn’t one but I also know the signs, that if I ignore, will result in one. I also woke with a friend heavy on my heart. See, her and her husband own a business. He had to have surgery, so she has been working open to close for a few months and has a few months to go.
There is nothing I can do to help, other than offer encouragement and support.
I then read my daily devotional, which shared “Jesus knows we must come apart and rest awhile or else we may just plain come apart. Take that day of rest ❤️”
Okay, neon light, I see you.
Today will be a day of rest, although I will take a walk, as it will likely be the last day of sun for several days. I also sent my friend some encouragement, although she can’t rest yet, I wanted her to know we see her and support her.
Get that day of rest and take a moment to lift someone in your life. Let them know that they are seen. Both will fill an empty cup.
❤️🦋
