@izzyred9400 Thank you! We don't have grey squirrels thankfully. I really like the red one. Their little ear fluff is so cute.
@DaffyGirl88 Oh a Lego puzzle! That looks really interesting. I hope you will like it.2 -

@Cyncia85 You can do it!! Do not walk by the oreos! Take the long way to the printer / rest room / etc. Bonus - you get more steps!3 -
Hi All...thanks for all of the well wishes...spent all day Monday in bed with fever, chills, sore/raw throat, coughing...it was awful...today I got up, took a shower, washed my hair, got dressed and was worn out just from that. Tough day, but I made it through...came home and changed my sheets, ate a quick sandwich and am headed to bed, hoping for a good night's sleep. Appreciate all of your concern for me...means a lot, it really does!!
Here's hoping for a calm and productive Wednesday!

Good morning Shape Shifters. It was another very warm day here, so I left for my walk early and didn't bother taking my camera with me. I didn't go too long again, but that is fine. Right after I got some groceries, then had a shower at home and did some laundry. It was the first time in months that I had to go to bed in the afternoon. I was just too exhausted and my head hurt a lot. Thankfully the nap did help.
My scale has been annoying me ever since I cleaned the bathroom and moved it. It kept giving different readings depending on where I put it. So a while back I walked through my house naked trying to find a good spot for it and ended up in the kitchen. I put stickers on the floor so I remembered where to put the scale down and yesterday morning that spot didn't work anymore! So I grabbed a small wooden shelf from one of my kitchen cabinets and put the scale on that since apparently, nowhere in my house is hard and even enough. I tested it on 4 different surfaces with the shelf and it gave me the same number every time so I hope that will continue to work and be reliable. Happy Wednesday everyone5 -

The daily card:On the emotional roller coaster of life, it's incredibly helpful to have an accessible mindfulness tool at our disposal at all times. Our breath is that tool. Practice bringing your awareness to the quality of your breath a few times a day-you can start by spending one minute noticing your breath before each meal. Practicing giving your attention to your breath will give you something to turn to whenever you need to anchor yourself.0

It's raining and I have several meetings today so today's steps aren't looking good.
@Pupowl I understand your scale problem. My bathroom floor is tile and the sacole doesn't fit on one so I have to have each of the four feet on a different tile. It took much trial and error to find the four that were level. But it seems to have worked out for you, nice weigh-in!3 -
@DaffyGirl88 Same here with the bathroom, toilet and kitchen floor. I also tried the living room. I have wide wooden floor boards but even there I get different readings because the floor just isn't level and I think there is a very soft layer under the wood. Thank you! On a good run with my weight loss, let's see how long it lasts.4

Good morning Shape Shifters. Despite the heat, I managed to sleep okay, but I really wasn't in the mood to go for a walk. I pushed through and headed out anyway. This time I only walked for 54 minutes because I had no energy and it was just too warm. I was still happy about it though since it is better than nothing. I got my zone minutes and a good chunk of steps. I went to the grocery store right after. It was nice to catch some wind on the bike after walking. I didn't feel like cooking in the heat so I grabbed my favourite mango salad instead. They also had the mini B&J icecreams on sale so I got a vegan cookies on cookie dough and enjoyed it a lot. I did my gym rings workout without pants on, lol. That's the beauty of home workouts; just close the curtains and be wild! The increased reps were still a bit tough, but I expect the heat didn't help any with that either. The rest of the day was pretty lazy. Happy Thursday everyone4

Completely forgot about last weeks weigh-in. But I have been fairly level this week.

@jessicakrall8 and @LaurieWrobo , I hope you are both feeling better!
@Pupowl I still love the photos you are posting, what a beautiful place to walk! Congratulations on your weight loss progress, it's inspiring to me!
I've been having a bunch of joint pain lately, mostly in my wrists and hands. I wonder if it's related to seasonal allergies as there's a lot of pollen in the air here at the moment. It's not affecting my lower body, so have been walking and cycling. But I've wanted to do some rowing and weight lifting and my hands and wrists are too achy for that. Hopefully it will let up soon. @PatriceFitnessPal are you getting any rowing in these days?
I'm heading out of town this long weekend to see family, so weighing in a day early.

@jessicakrall8 and @Pupowl - I arrived in Boston on Tuesday to help my mother get to some doctor appointments and manage some household tasks. So, I donβt have access to a scale again. Iβm planning to visit my motherβs aunt today so Iβll use her scale this week, but I might be a little late with my weigh-in. I have a busy schedule the next two days.
In fact, the next few weeks are packed with travel and deadlines, so I may need to move to the βsupportβ list until I can weigh in June 20th.
Iβll be traveling May 22-May 28 and June 4-13. I can weigh in May 30th so just let me know what you prefer β
- NWI on May 23 and support for the two weeks in June?
- Support May 22 through June 19
- Some other configuration that works best for you.
Thanks so much for all you do. My schedule will be much more consistent after this bit of travel. I appreciate your patience and understanding!
