I had a great day today. Work went by fast which was nice. This evening we went to my in-laws and grilled out. I knew we were eating there and had a pretty light breakfast and lunch and then ate reasonably while there. I was also able to say no to dessert which was amazing since she got my favorite, hershey pie. I ate within calorie range, and got my steps in today!
@ElfBodGoals I also increased my calorie range recently and that has helped me mentally tremendously. I also find using a range better than a set number. I'm not sure why at all but, I think if I go over the lower number, then I don't say f it and keep eating.
I also love love love desserts. Sugar free jello is my go to when I want chocolate. I also have been into halo top ice cream recently. I find that if I don't eat added sugars (really any candy, desserts, etc) for about 4-5 days, I actually don't crave or need them as much.
@Gidgitgoescrzy do you have a kayak or a place nearby where you can rent them? @Kali225 didn't you do a lot of kayaking last summer and fall too? I used to kayak and I know it's a great workout for your arms!5 -
Another solid day here - stayed on track and did my workout. Now my arms feel like lead
Tomorrow morning, I'll do our weekly meal plan, then off to the grocery store we'll go!5 -
Good morning Waistaways
I am so sorry I have been away.
Can I please come back to the group challenge
Instead of "strong fit ells" I should call myself "shadow ells"
I think my last weigh in was 240lbs
Today is 242.8lbs
Thank you so much5 -
@Kali225: If you have dumbbells at home, I highly recommend Sydney’s workouts! She’s very intentional about her monthly plans that she puts together, and the longest workouts are usually 45 minutes including a warm up and cooldown. 😊
Today I am off to spin class and the farmers’ market, my favorite Saturday routines. It’s a gorgeous day here so I imagine the market will be a little busy.
Pre-planning our meals for this upcoming week we’ve got:
Lunch: Crockpot sesame honey chicken with rice and broccoli, Grilled chicken with coleslaw and potato salad bowls
Dinner: Sante Fe stuffed peppers, skirt steak elote tacos, and grilled shrimp with red potato salad.
This afternoon we have a birthday party at a vineyard, and then tomorrow I have a vinyasa yoga class and house chores. Happy weekend all!

I was able to go for a few bike rides this week. Need to be better with my carbs! I guess that's my goal for next week. Limit carbs to once a day.5 -
Hey team!
I can proudly report I've tracked something in my food diary over the last week. While only a few days made it to completion, it's a start!6 -
Hi Ellie @strong_fit_ells I sent you a message!
Love hearing the talk of meal planning and tracking food!
I will say that since I joined @StayFITTer active challenges, I have been walking more! It's a beautiful weekend here so far, I walked this morning and am now relaxing this afternoon. I donated blood today and am feeling weaker than I normally do. So I'm going to work on my crochet project for my niece's birthday and drink a lot of water.
Also, not to turn this conversation morbid, but my hubby and I were looking at life insurance policies and wow...if I lose 40 pounds, the policy would be $13 a month less expensive over the 20 years. And right now, my husband who is older than me, would cost less than me because he weigh's 20 pounds less. There's some motivation to lose weight in the next few months to a year before we finally buy a policy (if we ever end up doing it...we've been talking about it for a few years lol).4 -

Quick look-in before bed. We went to my nephew's Communion this morning and then spent the rest of the day eating, drinking and laughing with family. It's been a lovely day.
So far this week I have stayed on target with, I have kept up with my logging and squat challenge. My water intake needs improvement. I'm going to try a limited meal prep next week - lunches. I believe I can prep 2 different lunches for us if I put my mind to it.
And as it looks like tomorrow will be another dry day, I will take to the forest again for a None2Run - Week 3 Day 1.
Good night, Friends!3 -

Well, this week has flown by! I have been enjoying the squat challenge and mostly keeping up with logging. Yesterday got kind of out of control, but back on track today. Jasper and I had an excellent workout, I did the squats, Pilates, and 30 minutes on the exercise bike. It was a rainy day, so I had a reprieve from the garden
I'm doing better after a few chaotic weeks on the food front. Back to my happy zone where I eat more vegetables than anything else, take it easy on fat, get just enough protein without going too crazy, and avoid grains, especially flour. I made a killer batch of strawberry-mango sorbet today - I was glad to get through dinner with enough calories left to indulge! It has lots of fibre and no fat, and even though it has sugar in it, I can always stop after one helping. Ice cream is banished from the house - it is much harder to control. I'm also getting greens from the salad garden now, so lunchtime salads are wonderful. It's a long wait until I have ripe tomatoes from the garden, but my plants are looking good so far.
Let's go for a strong week 2!3 -
Friday weigh in (late)
PW 219.1
CW 218.8 Little by little in the right direction!
Today was my birthday 🥳. I turned 60. Not sure how. Lol 😂 Coffee outside this am. Read a book. Planted in my garden. Dinner with family. A REALLY lovely day.
I have a finalist interview on Monday. They’ve check my references and have me meeting with HR. So here’s hoping I have a new job soon.
My steps have been strong this week. I was sick last week but went to dr on Monday and got a z-pack. All better now but hubby has it.
Logged many times. So small improvements each week. Moving in the right direction.
Finished school yesterday. I’ll have to catch up on the posts later. Falling asleep now.
Here’s a picture my granddaughter took of me after dinner tonight. She’s a pretty good photographer for a six year old.

I'm delighted to be back in the green - even if it's just a little bit.
Heading out for my forest Walk/Run.2 -
@micki48 Happy 60! A bit late, but I've got 10 years on you, so you know I'm slow Your adorable granddaughter does indeed take a terrific photo - and even though she's behind the camera, you can sure tell she loves her grandmother
I hope the best for your interview tomorrow - it sounds promising. And congrats on your progress getting back to logging, moving, and losing! It sure is hard sometimes, and celebrating even the smallest steps gets you through. Take a bow!2 -
Happy birthday @micki48!! I hope you had a great day!! And yes, good luck on the final interview.
@YinxFed excellent job getting out and running again today! I am just about finished letting my breakfast settle and will get out and walk/jog myself!
My plan for today other than going for a walk in a few minutes, is to weed in my gardens and around the mailbox some. They grow fast when we get so much rain! I am also planning on crocheting a little more this afternoon as well. I have planned/prepped my breakfasts and lunches for the work week. I do have a work dinner this Wednesday, so I need to eat light during the day to help with that. Also, that will make me miss my body pump class, so I will either need to walk on lunch or make myself get up at 6am to walk. I used to be able to get up and exercise before work but it is a struggle now.2 -

Happy belated 60th @micki48 - you are absolutely glowing. You look like you had a nice night out celebrating. Hoping for the great news that you deserve on the job front.
Things are good here but it's COLD! It was 0 degrees C last night as an overnight low... we were too cold for a campfire even. Anyway, it's supposed to be a bit nicer today. We will return from the campground a bit earlier today as I have a concert with a friend tonight.2 -
