Hey Shape Shifters - I love this group but am feeling sad without my newsfeed. I looked forward to a few posters in particular each day who are now gone. Anyway, I'm dropping out but will come back now and then to see how everyone is doing in the group. Good luck everyone.5

i will miss seeing you in my feed. and the stories about your crazy neighbors.3 -
@Itadakimasu7 It's a shame to see you go. I agree that it really sucks that the newsfeed is gone, but for me this group is still very valuable so I am not going anywhere. Take care!5

The daily card:There is always a bigger view. Whatever the situations and challenges we are facing, there is always a frame of reference that can provide us with some perspective. In a mindfulness practice, the always accessible bigger view is our ability to just be aware, to know. Next time you find a difficult emotion arising in your mind, bring your awareness to that experience. The part of yourself that knows the difficult emotion is not itself difficult. If you practice taking the bigger view, the more space you'll give yourself to deal with challenges as they arise.3

~ ugh more temptations.. husband just had to get notified that Papa John’s brought back one of our favorite limited-time pizzas. More difficulties staying on track, but I guess I should have stopped at 2 slices. That is one of my major problems with food; when I’m faced with a favorite thing (and I decide to allow myself to eat it), I can’t just stop at one ..and then afterwards I go looking for a “normally-not-allowed” dessert.
~ still no exercise, but still no energy to do so. TOM is looming nearby 😑4 - Net Calories ( 7034 / 10500 )

Just started physical therapy and need to get back to my healthy eating as well. But we had a wonderful trip!2 -
I haven't been sick per se, but I haven't been feeling too hot either. I did start lifting weights again after a few weeks off and have noticed it leading to some water retention, fluctuations up and down are 2-3lbs daily. Very strange week, hopefully the weekend it better. I am feeling a bit more energized now that it's Friday! Have a good weekend everyone2

Friday weigh-in
Goal zone weight: 128.4
South Florida got hit with major flooding this week. What a mess! So it really put my workouts on pause: classes canceled, no tennis. On top of that, three days of pouring rain and darkness really affected my mood. So it wasn’t a great week for staying away from the snacks. There’s more rain coming, but yesterday, we were given this amazing gift from the skies!!

good morning,
Steps:
June 10= 9562
June 11= 3075
June 12= 10,104
June 13= 4808
I've lost motivation, or maybe commitment. I don't feel like logging food, making my steps. I had to take my Dad to hospital for surgery on the 11th so not a lot of steps, but I didn't feel motivated enough to go for a walk that evening. Not sure whats going on, but I'm in a slump for sure. I'll try to turn things around on my days off.
Have a good weekend everyone!3 -
@JenHul - I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling unmotivated. I hope you can give yourself grace and maintain your fantastic progress. I’ve been so impressed by your consistent losses. I’m guessing you must be close to your goal weight.
Could this be your body telling you that you’re there?
You’ve come so far! Maybe reflecting on your success and what got you to this point could help you reframe your feelings? Best wishes getting through this phase of lethargy! You can do it!

But first, let's clarify the difference between MFP and MFP Community. They might appear as one
thing, but they are not.- MFP Community is a separate software package called Vanilla Forums. Vanilla Forums is an Open Source Software package. That means anyone can get their own copy and integrate it into their website. That's what MFP has done. On the plus side, it saves companies from having to create their own forum software. On the down side, they have to accept the package as it is currently designed. So, newsfeed is being removed from Vanilla Forums, and MFP has no control over that.
- You have two distinct profile pages: one is your MFP profile, found at MyFitnessPal's My Home tab, then Profile subtab. This has the URL: www.myfitnesspal.com/profile/<username>
- You have a second profile for MFP Community: currently it's a bit awkward to get to (they might fix that), but you'll find it by clicking the Community tab, then clicking your profile photo at upper right, then clicking again on the photo in the dropdown.
- On your Community Profile page, you'll see Activity towards the bottom.
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10915268/welcome-to-your-activity-feed#latest
One important note is: Since your Activity feed is part of your profile, it won't be accessible if your profile is set to private. Their solution for those who want to keep their profile private is to create a Group which they can then invite specific members to join (same as how F2F group works).

re: Activity Feed
- You can access a person's Activity Feed by clicking their Username (provided their profile is not private).
- Under your Notification Preferences, there are toggles for New comments on my activity feed posts and New posts on my profile's activity feed. Checking these will ensure you're notified when someone posts a comment on your Activity Feed.
