Quick update, dad is out of surgery and it's not lung cancer, which is good, but they are concerned for possible lymphoma. They are going to do more tests and will know more in a few weeks. He looks good and is having mild pain. Will be back go visit him tomorrow and hopefully will be out of the hospital tomorrow or Sunday!5

Achy from yesterday's workout, but did another Sydney Cummings one, this one arms and core. Luckily, it's my legs that feel like lead and tomorrow is a rest day6
-
What a great week! Made several smart food choices, more walking then anticipated and survived a gruelling hot day on the golf course. Feeling good about the micro changes this week given the heavy travel schedule. Actually looking forward to my date with the scale on Sunday5

Ugh! My weight is going the wrong way! I need to refocus. I think that I only logged in three times this week and it shows on the scale. Summer is hard for me I think because of lack of structure. Next week will be better.6 -

Home again. Logged my food. I sweat a bit watering my plants back to life. I really need to get in a workout this week.
I have a physical on Monday. Had all my bloodwork done this week.
Hope everyone is having a good day. Lauren glad to hear your dad’s surgery went well and he doesn’t have lung cancer.7 -
Happy Saturday! Much needed rest day today. Treated myself to a Theragun, hopefully that helps my aching hamstrings!5

Sunday weigh-in reminders:
@YinxFed
@smcewen99
@Heathere244
@strong_fit_ells
@Lyss983 enjoy that theragun! I have one and I love it!
I am hoping to get outside for a walk shortly, however it may start raining so I will have to check the weather. Although it's annoying visiting hours don't start until 11am, it also gives me time to do a few things for me.
I hope everyone has an awesome day! I recommed checking out the group challenge too this week, it looks interesting!

Happy Sunday Team!
After a grueling 14-day road trip and mindful eating, I'm seeing some progress.
PW: 394.4
CW: 390
Choosing between the usual burger and fries, late-night snacks, or the sugar rush after a long day was tough, but I've been more mindful of my choices this month. Thank you all for your support and encouragement—it's definitely a turning point for me.
Story share:
Carrying the additional weight and owning it has been difficult. The feelings of shame, self-worth, and low energy are like elephants sitting on my chest—heavy!
The self-critic in the room (thank you, Brené Brown) constantly compares my past to my present:
What happened?
Why?
You used to be a triathlete, runner, skier, basketball player.
You did spin classes, joined a gym, and taught aerobics at the local YMCA.
By flipping my own script, I've realized I am still an athlete and I am worthy. It's going to take micro-adjustments, smart decisions, and some planning to see major gains over time. I'm learning to be patient and loving, to enjoy the journey, embrace the challenges, and continue making small changes.
Next goal: get under 390 and keep up with healthy eating and tracking habits.
We got this—one step, bite, and day at a time.
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new” — Socrates
Have an inspired week!
Shawn

Hi all!
I have been so busy and not turning on my computer or opening things on phone - it is gorgeous out here in Alberta, I have been walking, riding horses, going to the rodeo and having a fantastic visit with my daughter and her entire gang, which is impressive, lively, and fun. I am heading out for another packed day, and hopefully changing my return for a few days later so that I can enjoy this all even longer - sorry not sorry, people and horse at home!7 -

@smcewen99 great loss this week! I love that quote, too! Welcome home after 2 weeks on the road.
Great job team for coming in first place! 🎉
And @tlcjen12 for coming in first for our team and 3rd overall! And Jen has hit 51 pounds down from her highest weight!! 🎉
We had 60% of our team in the green! Let's keep this up for the last week in June. Time sure is flying!7 -
I thought I entered my weight last week. Maybe I did not post it correctly. I will see if I can find it.0

Hey friends! We had the best weekend... Brad's sister and brother in law from Ontario were passing through Alberta with their camper so they stayed at our RV site for the weekend. Brad's love language is "acts of service" and particularly making food for others so he absolutely SPOILED them (and me!) This is the first time immediate family has visited us on our turf since Brad moved to Alberta in 2018 so it was a REALLY big deal. Our hearts are full.
Week 3 exercise:
Sun Jun 16 - 5758 steps
Mon Jun 17 - 11448 steps
Tues Jun 18 - 12500 steps
Wed Jun 19 - 5660 steps
Thurs Jun 20 - 9823 steps
Fri Jun 21 - 9143 steps
Sat Jun 22 - 8753 steps7 -
@micki48
When you post your steps when you're ready if you can catch up from June 9 to current that will ensure I have full stats for you! Thanks2 -
The allergies from the beginning of last week turned into a sinus infection by the end of the week. Another trip to urgent care yesterday with more antibiotics. I hate taking antibiotics, but I am grateful to feel better.
I plan to go to spin class tomorrow, but it will be my first real workout in almost a month.4 -
Happy Sunday! I spent time today meal prepping my lunches for the week. Tomorrow I will go back to my standard calorie deficit. I'm interested to see what my weigh-in looks like tomorrow morning!2

@smcewen99 I loved ready your story share today. The "worthy" part is so difficult for me but we ALL are!!
@tlcjen12 congrats on crossing 50+ lbs down! amazing
My weekend away was not as relaxing as I had hoped - weather was very muggy and we had some extreme bouts of rain pouring down, and I didn't get much chance to read my book. However, my friends and I played a new-to-us board game called Wingspan? It was SO fun, can't wait to play again honestly. Especially fun if you have any bird-lovers in the group.
We made good time getting home today so I had time to unpack, clean my kitchen, get up on the roof deck for some sun and reading, a good total body workout, Indian for dinner, and a relaxing shower. I'll have to shop tomorrow for the week but I have a good amount of items on hand so I know what I am doing for dinners.
onto a new week!6
