HOW IT ALL WORKS: The July challenge runs for five weeks, from June 30 - August 3.
Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win, and may everyone else get to work on next week!
We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every single week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leaderboard. In March we are aiming for every team to hit 50% green every week - let's do this!
To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):
If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or can be moved to the Support Team for as long as you need. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.
Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.
In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.
Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love

Hi, I'm Jessica a stay at home mom of 3 boys. I'm 37yrs old and been on my weight loss journey for a year. I decided to start taking my health serious after a hospital stay in April 2022 where I developed sepsis after an outpatient surgery that was supposed to be an easy routine surgery. The experience changed my view on my health. It made me realize I really wanted to LIVE life.
I have PCOS, prediabetic and fatty liver. I have my liver enzymes down in normal range now after a year of focused healthy eating. Started back with a NP supervised weight loss management program this week. I'm hopeful this next 12 months I will get out of the prediabetic range and have all normal numbers. Taking it one day at a time.6 -

Hello! My name is Teresa, and I have been here a long time.
I am married to my wonderful husband, who is 23 years older than me and battling dementia. We have a little furbaby, Maggie Mae, who is eight and just had surgery to repair her ruptured CCL (ACL in humans). We also live with my mom and sister. I work as my church's admin assistant. I love putting together jigsaw puzzles. My weight has always been an ongoing battle, but I NEVER give up, and I'm always willing to learn new things and tweak what I know works. Right now, I'm working on my self-care mindset through a group called Diligent Mindset Self-Care with Jason Seid. Very interesting stuff!
Good morning! We had a better night with Maggie, but she was still in our bed and probably will be until we get her staples out. She did walk herself to the door and out for a potty this morning instead of relying on me to carry her the whole way there and back.
The collar in order was too heavy for her, and she was frozen in terror. I have a much lighter-weight one coming tomorrow, but she hasn't even looked at her bandaged leg, so I'm not concerned. Plus, she isn't out of our sight and won't be this weekend. I did a rebounder workout and plan to do some housework today and maybe start a new puzzle while listening to podcasts.
Here is the finished product. I ended up with one missing piece!!

My maintenance range is 127-133; I'm within my range.
Good morning Mission Slimpossibles, and happy July! 🌞
This is my third try at posting. If this one disappears again I will give up. My name is Mica, and I live in New Hampshire with my boyfriend Rich, and my darling cat Earl.

I'm one of the maintainiacs of Team Slimpossible. I work in a plastic manufacturing company as a bookkeeper 3 days a week. I commute to and from work on a bicycle, weather permitting . I walk everyday, I do strength training everyday, and I stretch everyday. I also record every morsel of food in my tracker. Maintaining takes diligence.

            Hi
My name is Darren
I am the partially hilarious and not so insightful motivator.
I have learned that i should stop viewing health, weight loss and fitness as a journey. So I am no longer on a journey to get to the right weight, fitness level or health aspect. I've been going down the journey plan many times. Once I almost reached the destination and like most journeys I took a pitstop. The pitstop made its way to a turn around, a break down or a huge distraction. Now I'm not traveling I'm living. In life I've incorporated several good choices that cannot be temporary.
So some of the team may know that I have a fear of dogs. I'm also not a pet person. With that said I gave in to my wife. My wife and daughter have acquired a puppy. Unfortunately just like the last one it was given away too young. It is what it is.

Finally! A nice quiet morning to catch up on all the news. I won't be commenting on everything but I will be catching up :-).
@trooworld that dill pickle chicken salad sounds delicious! I went to Pinterest to see if I could find it and went down a rabbit hole for the last hour🤣. Your recipe sounds much better than the ones I found on Pinterest, would you mind sharing?
@katmary71 I am so sorry to hear all that has been going on with you at work! All that stress can't be helping you at all😔.
@TeresaW2024 I have been reading your posts with suspense about Maggie Mae's journey to surgery. I am so glad it was a torn ACL rather than the luxating patella. There are a few dogs around here as well as my nieces pop who have torn ACL's. After surgery and when they are rehabbing some of them have pretty funky support bandages on♥️
@Txcritter69 that treatment you are going through sounds like it was brutal!
The dogs that I have had for the last 20 years have all been crate trained. All except Vannie, came to find their crates a place of quiet and calm if the world ever got too busy. I never even shut their crate doors after about the age of one or two, it has been their choice.
When Ty was not with us for the camping weekend, I decided that Vannie and I are old and boring 🤣. With Ty I am always on the go, I understand the lack of things to do without Diesel around. I hope he has started eating he just needs to get over this hump.
Sorry I did not comment on everybody, I did go down the rabbit hole on a few posts trying to backtrack and figure out what was going on lol.
I finally feel like I have a moment to breathe today and I am doing things that have really wanted and need to get done. I really wanted to catch up here and I really need to do my laundry and all of the bedding and put my house back together. The weather is really warming up here, it has been lovely! Ty has been much easier to walk lately, which has made taking her for walks much more enjoyable.
Tomorrow I am going to hit the farmers market and I'm hoping to do some meal prep for the week coming up.
Hope everybody is having a great weekend, it is a long weekend here, not sure if it's the same in the states4 -
            Happy July Everyone!
I’m a returning member of Team Mission Slimpossibles. I live in the northeast with my 4 dogs (2 huskies, an alusky and a bichon). I enjoy going to Zumba and Aqua classes and hiking with my friends and family. My 4th MBA class ends this month (7/21) and then will get a break. Looking forward to crushing July!

Hello everyone. Thank you for the welcome.
I will keep my check-ins short and simple. We're all busy people.
I'm in my thirties and trying to make health more of a priority. Hoping to lose about 50 pounds to get to what is a "healthy" weight for my age and height. Looking forward to checking in and seeing everyone's progress!
One of the primary things that's helped me in tracking achievements (with weight loss but also other areas) is to remember that everyone's journey is different and no one is out there holding a stopwatch to time how quick or slow your journey is. Just focus on yourself and keep moving forward.
I wish everyone luck in reaching their goals in these coming weeks!

Hi everyone! I'm Kathy, I'm co-captain along with the incredible @trooworld and our supercalifragilisticexpialidocious motivator is @19shmoo69 . I'm 52 and live in the Sacramento area in CA with my two cats (and roommate). I joined this team at the start of 2019 and it's been a big part of my healthier life to have a community I can be myself in. I hope you all love it as much as I do. I was working at a functional medicine clinic in exchange for treatment that just closed, I met with my main practitioner today and we had a great talk and went to check out an offer she had to take over an office in the back of a ministry thrift store with some pretty amazing people. It's an interesting choice as she was in the navy and when she had her own clinic it was very pristine and medical so walking into this thrift store with all this cool stuff (owner likes to repaint furniture and has an incredible eye) wasn't what I was expecting. Since most of us with chronic stuff have struggled to be helped by medical that may be a good thing though to have it more friendly and less businesslike. I also file claims for my brother then volunteer as secretary for a local charity and at the food bank farm where I'm the main seed starter in the greenhouse. I love gardening, reading, concerts, and going to farmer's markets. I'm doing my best to stay as healthy as I can despite CRPS and spinal/nerve issues which is why I'm pursuing alternative options. I'm mostly eating low sugar/no gluten with primarily whole foods and do chair cardio, stretching, and strength training every day.
If you have any weigh-in questions I'm here to help! I log everyone's weights in the spreadsheet. Please try to weigh in on your weigh-in day. If you're away from home or don't have a scale let me know so we can decide how to handle it. We can copy the last weigh-in or make arrangements to weigh in on a different day but if you absolutely can't weigh in please tag me so I can alert the spreadsheet owner. If you'd like to change weigh-in days also let me know so we can move you. Thank you!
@Foxymoxie04 Welcome to Mission Slimpossibles, we're happy you're here! I agree with your assessment it IS important to keep in mind everyone is different. A friend of mine was getting real discouraged because everyone else was losing fast on here and she can't exercise like they do as she needs a wheelchair to get around and was comparing. We've been great “reality checks” for each other especially as we were both bedridden
@865jessica You're doing great and it's paying off, wtg!
@DrewsAnna love that meme, that's exactly how my day was too!
@lisalisa123 YES great pep talk thank you! I'm trying to make up my mind on what I'm focusing on for July and your enthusiasm is catchy!
@NanaB1835 Welcome to Mission Slimpossibles, tell us a bit about yourself in the July thread!
@trooworld Hope you've managed to have some fun at the conference, the drink and coffee sound yummy! Do you get any time off for 4th of July?
@TeresaW2024 Glad Maggie is doing well! I absolutely love your puzzle, do you ever glue them and hang it or do you put it back in the box? I wear tree of life earrings often.
@micaroo4 Oh no especially for long posts I do them on a word document and copy and paste at the end, I almost quit this group in the beginning because I kept losing all my posts and was so frustrated! Love the photos!
@19shmoo69 Aw that means the puppy needs lots of cuddling, you get over your fear and comfort him!
@lisalisa123 I love the meme, I did a challenge not to say anything negative a few years ago and you honestly don't realize how many excuses we come up with on a daily basis, it changed how I talk about myself.
@laurelfit57 Thank you! I'm glad you had some time to rest and catch your breath, I know you've been super busy Enjoy the farmer's market tomorrow!
@gemwolf110 Glad to see you back!4 -
Hi, I'm Lisa, and I live in FL. I'm married for a really long time and our two young adult children live here. We have a two year old mini poodle mix named Gus. I've struggled with weight since the freshman 15. I've been in this group for a couple of years now and appreciate the support it provides. I track my food here, I strength train with my husband. Normally I do step aerobics during the week and walk on the weekend, however, I have messed up my hip and am having pain. I decided to see the doctor this week and am now on an anti inflammatory and waiting to start PT. I need to lose 25 pounds. I've only lost 5 pounds this year. I'm going to have to do better the second half of this year.
@vegan4lyfe2012 - thank you for sharing your inspiring story with us. I'll be rooting for you as you try WW again.
@19shmoo69 - What a cute puppy! You must REALLY love your wife. What is your pups name?
@TeresaW2024 - I hope Maggie heals quickly. Poor baby!

@Katmary71 I know this will sound bad but it is what it is, I'll have little to do with the dog. I'll keep an eye on food, water and such. I will help when asked.

            Good morning,
First off A big WELCOME to our newcomers! You are in a fabulous group.
I'm Sandy and I live in central Texas. I am married to my wonderful husband John for 28 yrs. We have 2 grown children with families of their own. I am a grandmother to 5 awesome grandsons. We have two fur babies in our home Tigger my hubby's cat and Diesel my dog. You will see me talk a lot bout Diesel as my life evolves around him.
I have been a MFP member for a very long time. I joined this fantastic group back in Feb of '23 after going through a very hard 2 yrs depression of losing my mom and then my fur baby Sansa in the same week of Nov '21. Then my hubby was diagnosed with colon cancer Dec '21 and had a 3rd of his colon removed and went through chemo for 6 months. I really don't remember much of '22 as I was in such a daze from all it was not until after my hubby beat cancers butt that I was able to even start the grieving process.
This yr has been the yr that I have taken on the new motto "Today, I Choose To Be HAPPY!" I wake up to this every morning at my coffee station. It is what sets my day. I do still have my moments of depression but in all it has been working.
Update on Diesel: He did eat yesterday for the first time at his trainers house. So hopefully I will start to see training videos this upcoming week. I am getting excited to see him.
My face is finally healed from the chemo for precancerous cells and I am ready to get outdoors again(Sunscreen of course). So tomorrow I will try to get up early enough to get out and get my walk in before it gets too hot. We are officially at the gates of Hell here in Texas with temps of near 100 or more for the rest of the summer.
John and I are going for a drive today so, I am going to run for now.

@sleepygirl79 Got it and let Jugar know, thanks! Have a fun vacation!
@txcritter69 Great news Diesel is eating, I hope you get those videos soon! Enjoy your walk tomorrow!
@Cornanda Oh I love seeing Gus! Wow he's two already?!?!
@trooworld Oh that sounds like a perfect week just having one day especially after this conference. Hang in there it's almost over. Hugs I'm sorry you're having a tough time, frankly it sounds like some of those people deserve pancake toes I hate that!
Hi friends! I haven't received the spreadsheet so NO ONE is getting weigh ins logged today, I'm not going to be home tomorrow night so hopefully I'll get it in time to at least catch up on that tomorrow before I go out. I'm going to have my brother's cat here this week with mine, she's kind of a ball buster so I'm always a little worried about my guys plus a huge amount of people party around the corner and set off fireworks on the 4th so I'll have to be home at night as my cats are terrified. Really a weird place to do it, it's really annoying when it goes all night too. Not much else going on aside of cleaning, have a great night and awesome Monday!4 -

@trooworld thanks so much for the recipe! Oh my goodness, that convention sounds like a lot! I really don't get it when people can be so rude, it is just common courtesy to move your feet. My fingers are crossed for you tomorrow but it goes smoother than today
@Cornanda Gus is way too cute!!!!
@txcritter69 how is diesel making out?
@minstrelofsarcasm thanks for catching that!
I was super surprised that I only gained .4 pounds last week after all the eating out I did, it was a nice surprise!
What a great day today, went to the farmers market got some fresh asparagus, strawberries, cherries spinach and tomatoes now I am all set for the week :-) :-). I was planning on going to the gym tomorrow and doing a spin class, then I found out it was going to be a different instructor, one that I don't like at all. She likes to swear and play really heavy music. I think I will go over and do some weights and I am going out to the farm to go for a walk with my cousin in the afternoon. I took my mom out for supper, I had steak bites and cauliflower that was Baked in the oven with a miso aïoli sauce. It was really good! Hope everybody had a great Sunday1 -

@txcritter69 I’m glad Diesel finally ate. He is adjusting, and I’m sure he will start making progress. I so admire people willing to walk in the heat. I’m willing to open my door and pick up my Amazon orders.

@Katmary71 Ugh, a visiting cat and fireworks don’t sound like a good evening at all. I heard my first fireworks last evening, and so did Maggie. It’s going to be a long week!!
@lauralfit57 All that fresh produce sounds wonderful! We have a farmers market here but I’ve never been. It’s on the other side of town and early. Maybe one day. That dinner sounds delish!
@trooworld I'm sorry that the conference isn't going so well for you. I know how uncomfortable it is to try to squeeze past people to get to a seat. At least all those steps are good for you.
Good morning! Not much going on here other than watching Maggie like a hawk so she doesn’t mess with her leg. We didn’t even go to church because she hates the cone! This picture is of the newest one, and it’s too small and going back. I ordered a fabric sleeve for the leg and will try it when it arrives. We just have to survive one more week until the staples come out. She tried to jump on the couch last night, so the struggle to break that habit began. I’m home today and will do a leg workout and work on my Dilgent Mind program. This week, our challenge is no complaining. Yikes!! Also, one 24-hour fast that I will probably do after dinner tonight and not eat until tomorrow. I can do it!

            Good morning,
🪅CONGRATULATIONS🪅 to @19shmoo69 @lislisa123 @annachangesagain for being the leaderboard winners for this week.
@TeresaW2024 Poor Maggie, I hope she has a speedy recovery. Yes you can do it. I am on the sideline cheering for you. 🎉😜
I just sent a text to Kelley to see how Diesel is doing I will post an update tomorrow as I am going to cut this real short so I can make it out to walk before the sun gets heated up.🫠3
