I'm super proud of this. I hate tracking and counting calories, but it works. In addition to calorie management, it keeps me focused on my goals throughout the day. The changes I've made are still a bit forced, not a natural part of my day. But I'm hoping they will become routine if I stick with them.7 -

Don't love posting a gain, esp when I could have posted a loss on Wed! It's my TOM, plus I hit the gym hard yesterday for a leg session. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
@Zaxa2021 I totally get where you're coming from—I feel like I'm in the same boat. Making these changes feels unnatural at first, but I'm reminding myself that it's all part of the process. I tell myself that every time I stick to the plan, I'm reinforcing a new habit. We're both working towards making these changes stick, and that's something to be proud of!5 -

Good morning Shape Shifters. I had another nice walk yesterday, but not much to see so enjoy the single picture I took I guess. I got groceries after I had a shower and I picked up some salads and frozen meals. I got the last package I was waiting for which had the frames for the dinosaur prints, a small glass tray I got to put my gemstones in and I finally found two candle holders that I liked for the led candles. I ordered a pair before, but they were too big and didn't fit on the shelf. I thought the wings were cute with all the bird posters. I also moved a little wall tapestry to the living room. I am sure some of you will absolutely hate it, but it makes me smile every time I see it so I am glad it is now downstairs in all its glory.
In the afternoon I worked on putting up the dinosaur frames. Even though I measured everything out and used a level, it looked like a toddler did it. It was so bad! I took it all down again, removed all the screws and used filler to cover up the holes. Today I will throw a new layer of paint over that area and then tomorrow I will try again, but using shelves. I still have 3 smalls ones I can use for the frames. I would have prefered 2 shelves with 3 frames, but 3 x 2 will be fine too. It will for sure look better than the uneven mess it was before. I will share a picture of it and then I will forget it ever happened, lol. Happy Saturday everyone3 -

@pupowl LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that tapestry, but you knew I likely would!!! Did you make it or purchase it already made? It's very pretty...been meaning to tell you that I like the dinosaur pictures too, each with a different emotion on them...what made you think of dinosaurs though?! The colors are pretty...hope you enjoy your weekend!

It was a bit of a challenge to get my steps in yesterday. I took a rest day from running, so I had to find other ways to get in my steps. A couple of short walks (one as early as I could get my boys ready and the other was our "night-night walk" right before their bedtime after the sun went down) and some extra wondering around the house was just enough to meet my goal. I really can't wait for the extreme heat to go away. I miss our longer, relaxing walks.4 -

@DaffyGirl88 Glad it made you laugh! I have gotten some mixed reactions to it, but you are totally right, it is my house so I will do what makes me happy.
@jessicakrall8 I expected you to like it, though not everyone appreciates a cat butt! I got it from aliexpress a couple of years ago along with a few other tapestries. They were really cheap and it's such an easy way to add some color to a space. I love dinosaurs and I was looking for some nice wall art so I just searched for dinosaur posters on amazon. It said it was for a kids room, but I believe we never really lose our inner child and I really like them! I think the watercolor effect is really cool too.2 -

D27/75 have had a good couple of days and hope I can sustain it through the weekend. I'm going to lunch with a good friend I haven't seen in a few months, not sure where so don't know the menu to plan ahead. The tomorrow my husband and I are going shopping for fixtures for the bathroom repair and remodel at our retirement house. That will be an all day thing as we have to go about an hour away to get to the stores. We live on a peninsula and the mall, etc is an hour away. 😕 But there's a ton of restaurants up there that I know I can do ok at. Anywho, have a great day everyone! ☺️2 -

So, I rode 25 miles today which is the furthest I've ever ridden! And I earned two badges for one ride!
My ride took me around and by a soccer complex, and I was amazed at how busy it was. There were cars parked all over the place! They were even parked for a ½ mile along both sides of what is essentially a country road leading away from the complex, and this road has signs all along it saying "No Parking Any Time"! (see photo) 😂
P.S. After riding 25 miles, my step count was still a whopping 1,100 steps!September Weekend 40K - record a 40-kilometer cycling activity from September 6-8

Cars were parked a good ½ mile along side the road from the soccer complex...

Sorry for the late weigh in! The day got away on me yesterday.
My kids were back to school this week and I'm loving having a more regular routine. Been sleeping a bit better, getting to bed and waking earlier to walk. This week I exercised at lunch every day, mostly going on bike rides. The weather was glorious for it! Rained all day today so I lifted weights. Youngest and I had some fun thrift shopping after hockey, which started back up today with sort outs. Hope to get back to coaching starting next weekend.4 -
Good morning Shape Shifters. The weather yesterday morning was pretty fun. When I got up it was clear out, and then within 10 minutes a pretty solid fog showed up. It was really nice outside. Saturday mornings are already fairly quiet and the fog just made it feel even better. I took a short video of my bike ride to the walk for fun.

Right after my walk I went to the grocery store (a different one from Friday). My salted nut mix has corn in it which I really like so I wanted to see if they had a bag with corn only. They do have it online, but my store didn't stock it sadly so I just got a new bag of the mix. It was very challenging walking past all the croissants, donuts, chocolate buns and cheese snacks, but I did it! Thanks to the fog, the morning was chilly enough for me to enjoy some tea. I had a green jasmine tea I recently bought on sale which was very nice.
I slapped some fresh paint on the area of the wall I semi destroyed on Friday so it is looking all clean again. Even though I slept well, I was beyond exhausted and even sitting behind my pc was too much effort so I ended up going to bed for a little over an hour. After dinner, I took down the shade cloths that I had outside my living room/kitchen windows. The hot weather *should* be over now and it is nice to get some more light inside. After that I did my gym rings workout and that concluded perfect day number 7! I am happy I did so well a whole week in a row. Now I 'just' need to keep that up. Have a lovely Sunday everyone.5
