@cre804 Love the pictures from young and current you! Maybe I can do the same in 20 years or so. Also impressed you lost weight on your trip, I could never. Hopefully you can find a new place for your physical therapy.
@CasandraW Wowee, that is a lot of food from your garden! I can't imagine the work that goes into it. Nice that you have been able to sell some of it. I really hope none of your medical appointments get moved from now on, so incredibly frustrating. Hopefully all the treatments will go well!
@p8m6bwghh9 Sounds like things are going well for you, great job! I understand being tempted by Halloween stuff. So many holidays have a heavy focus around food. We have Sinterklaas early December and stores already started selling candy for it this week; it's wild!
@LaurieWrobo So sorry for your loss.4 -
Good morning Shape Shifters. I didn't have the best sleep since there was a mosquito in the bug net I have over my bed. You would think it would be easy to find in such a small space, but I looked for 15 minutes and failed to spot it. At least I also didn't hear it again which was good. I was hoping I could put the bug net away already, but I guess there are still mosquitos around so I will wait a little longer. It was a very chilly night and I was actually a bit cold in bed at some points. Tinus has been very lazy ever since the temperature dropped too. He didn't even want to go outside after his morning snack. I had a nice long walk. I saw one roedeer but besides that it wasn't very interesting outside. I did some laundry; washed all of Tinus' blankets. I was very bored again so I did some weeding in the garden. After that it was time to cook dinner and when I finished eating, I mowed the backyard and did some more clean up in the garden. The back patio hasn't looked this nice in years! Lots of zone minutes yesterday. The rest of the evening I relaxed with a book and tea. Happy Sunday everyone.7

My finger surgery was supposed to be September 9th but has been rescheduled til October 28th.
It has been a whole lot of waiting for specialists and I've found it very frustrating.
I can relate to dealing with specialists, and always having to wait for insane amount of time, I've been going through similar struggles trying to get my sons' taken care of. It sometimes feels like a full-time job just taking care of all their appointment needs. It's exhausting. Sorry you're going through this.

@LaurieWrobo travel safe. I wish you strength and support in the coming days and hope you find comfort in the love of your family and friends.4

@p8m6bwghh9 Exactly! And a lot of pepernoten. Thankfully I am not really tempted by those things.2

@LaurieWrobo sending hugs and strength your way, very sorry for your loss. Hope your time with family helps bring comfort in some way.4

@LaurieWrobo - I’m sorry to hear the news about your mother’s passing so close to your son’s wedding. It must be a very stressful and emotional time for you! I hope the presence of your extended family, coming together for the wedding celebration, brings extra comfort to you during this difficult time. I’m thinking of you and your family as you grieve your loss, celebrate the legacy of your Mom, and bless your son’s marital union. ❤️🕊️❤️5

Today, I weighed under 145 pounds so I’m taking a minute to mark the milestone. I need to lose 5 more pounds to move from the ‘overweight’ BMI category to the ‘normal’ range. I’m aiming to achieve that goal by the end of 2024, and I don’t plan to reach the overweight BMI ever again.
I’ll still have to work hard to accomplish my maintenance goal and stay within the 125-130 range, but the most important milestone for me is getting back to the healthy range under 140.
Best wishes, Shape Shifters. I hope you are making progress towards your goal!7 -

I'm happy and a bit surprised at having a loss this week. I've been tracking my food/drink, but not much else. I have been extra tired lately and lost my motivation to get my morning walks in, but not going to beat myself up about it. Maybe listening to my body and giving it some extra rest is what it needed. But I have also noticed my mood dropping too. Walking is not just good for you physically, but for your mind and emotions too... time to get back to it!5 -

While in college a mere ~50 years ago, I had a physiology professor who had done sleep research, and he said the same thing. Your body adapts to your sleep pattern and attempts to spread REM sleep throughout your time sleeping, including during your last hour of sleep. So interrupting your sleep can result in a lack of adequate REM sleep. Short "power" naps (~20 minutes) can be very beneficial.
There’s a lot of inconsistent health news circulating, and many ‘fads’ have been disproven over the years, so it’s reassuring to read what your professor learned from his research is standing the test of time @frankwbrown! 🙏🏼
I started college in 1984 so I’m not too far behind you as ShapeShifter historian!

Congratulations to our team for making it in the leader board again this week! Way to go @looneycatblue, @alleykat69, and @DaffyGirl88! 🎉🎉🎉
@p8m6bwghh9 and @DaffyGirl88 - Thank you for your encouragement. I still have 15-20 pounds to lose but 5-pound increments feels more manageable to me.
Keep up the good work, ShapeShifters!3 -

Missing 3 weigh-ins from this week:
@krysless2
@bearchested
@alleykat69
Stats begin early on Sunday, so please report in ASAP!
Also, walkers, take a look at the step chart and report any missing steps from Week 2. Thanks!
Jessica
Hi Jessica.. just to clear up any confusion. I weigh in at the beginning of every week on Sundays. I should have been skipped for week 2 (and that appears to be correct in the spreadsheet). I’m posting my week 3 weigh-in in a separate post.. in just a moment.
