Week’s Mini-Goals:~ Worked all day yesterday. Stayed under calorie and carb goal. Had a date night with hubs. I did drink but I drank slowly and had a sip of lemon water in between sips of Ultra. I’ve been extremely motivated this weekend because my official weekly weigh-in for my other MFP challenge was today. Now .. this evening might be a whole other story. My family and I are going to see Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and I fully plan to allow myself popcorn and candy

@Krysless2 You asked to skip your weigh in for week 1, so that is why there is EXC behind your name. For week 2 you didn't report in at all without telling us anything so you got a NWI which stand for no weigh in.1

Good morning Shape Shifters. I started my morning with a walk as usual. I was feeling a little bit unwell, but it was nice and chilly, no sun, so I just did the walk I had planned anyway. It was 82 minutes and I still enjoyed myself even with feeling sick. Had a shower, started laundry. Ended up doing 3 loads which included the sheets from my bed and the guest bed. Also cleaned both bedrooms so that is all ready for my moms visit. She has been sick in bed for 4 days, but thankfully yesterday she started to feel a lot better. Hope she fully recovers before Thursday. I did my gym rings workout before lunch and the rest of the day was quiet. I was very hungry so I had some extra snacks, but still within my calorie limit. Happy Monday everyone.5

@Pupowl @jessicakrall8 I see what I did wrong and I got lost in the weeks… sorry about that. Am I still ok to continue in the challenge for the month?1
-
@Krysless2 Of course! We would never drop you for no reason and without warning. I just figured I would explain. You need to have two NWI's in a row before you get dropped, and even if that happens, you can always come back again!1

D37/75 I'm still plugging along. I had a good weekend, hoping to carry it through the rest of the week.5 -
I’ve enjoyed reading some of the recent quotes that @Cyncia85 and others (@frankwbrown, etc.) have posted to encourage, motivate, and inspire us. So, I thought I’d share this message from Bernie Siegel after seeing it today:
“Love and peace of mind do protect us. They allow us to overcome the problems that life hands us. They teach us to survive … to live now … to have the courage to confront each day.”
Happy Monday, ShapeShifters!5 -

Hi @PatriceFitnessPal - thanks for sharing this quote - for sure has me thinking.4 -
Hi Shape Shifters
I'm here to remind you to hydrate.
I need that reminder for myself too. I've been sipping a delicious cup of coffee. Need to fill up my tumbler with some refreshing water!7 -
Loving the quotes as well.
Just popping in to post those canning photos. And some of how annoyingly bent this finger is. Xray as well just because4 -
@CasandraW - After seeing your photos, I wanted to select both the “inspiring” and “hug” emojis but we can’t select all that apply.
You’re demonstrating amazing strength and resilience through your challenges! 😊2 -

Good morning Shape Shifters. After a good sleep in clean sheets and no mosquitos, I went for a quick walk. It was a lot warmer than the previous mornings and I could walk without my bodywarmer. While it is not gonna be hot, it is going to be warmer than I like this week (around 23C/74F). A little bummed that it coincides with my moms visits. It already takes a lot out of me when she is here so adding warm weather to that is not going to help.
Anyway, I had to keep my walk a bit short this time because Tinus had a vet appointment at 10:30. After my walk I got some groceries, had a shower at home, went outside with Tinus for 15 minutes and then we already had to pack up and go to the vet. September is always the worst vet visit since he needs a blood test because of his age and the medication he is on, he needs his vaccinations and he needs a new painkiller shot. He did super well this time though; I was impressed with how well behaved he was. As soon as we got home, he got his favourite treat so he was very happy. The vet called me in the afternoon about his blood results and everything looked great which was awesome news. I didn't expect anything to be wrong, but you never know. In the afternoon I cleaned the bathroom which was very much needed. Tinus had fun trying to catch butterflies and a dragonfly outside, but of course he didn't manage. Again pretty hungry, but I did a good job with my food. Happy Tuesday everyone.4 -

@CasandraW - thanks for sharing your photos. I am amazed and inspired by your canning photos! I enjoy gardening - haven't done much this year. I'm hoping next year Spring, I will have more time to focus on the garden. Those are some wild photos of your finger, wishing you all the best.

@CasandraW Oh my, your finger! That has got to be tough. I loved seeing the pictures of your pantry with all of the jars. I have never canned anything. It must be wonderful to have all of that freshness!
@Pupowl As usual, I love seeing your pictures. Tinus looks so cute with that harness. That picture of the mushroom with the water drops on the blades of grass is amazing. Also, is that other mushroom purple?2 -
@iradi8 Thank you, glad you enjoyed them. That mushroom was indeed purple! There were 3 of them hiding in the moss, but the other two got half eaten. My phone is not good at taking close ups of any kind, so it didn't come out great. I think it is an amethyst deceiver, but I am not an expert so don't quote me on that.5

Good morning Shape Shifters. I had a long walk yesterday morning. I did two of my favourite routes; the telescope and the family trial. It was an hour and 50 minutes which is pretty long, but my body felt good and it didn't feel hard at all. I haven't been to this part of the forest since the storm we had on the 24th of August. This area got quite a lot of damage. The last sand path back to the parking lot had 4 really big trees down and completely blocking the trail. It is a wide and easy to get to path, so if they haven't even cleaned that up yet, I imagine they have been really busy. I managed to find ways around it, but I don't think it is a good idea to walk that with my mom so I will find us an alternative if we do end up going there.Something that was really fun though is that I came across 4 more baby newts! It is so strange to me how I can go from 'never seen one before' to finding 4 during one walk. Though to be fair, two of them were in the middle of a paved road so they were easy to see. The other two were a lot more stealthy. I am really paranoid now when I walk on dirt roads or grass. They are so hard to see, especially when they don't move and you can easily mistake them for a twig or something. I hope I will find some with my mom later this week as well.I was pretty lazy and grumpy in the afternoon, but I did end up getting some more work done. I did a bunch of weeding and then mowed a lot in the front garden. I wasn't able to get it all done since it was a lot and my green bin was full. There is one area I didn't mow all summer on purpose for the wildlife and that is the only bit I have left to do. It will have to wait until the bin gets emptied the 26th which is fine. I should have done my gym rings workout earlier in the day. I wasn't in the mood in the evening, but I did get it done. My food was over by around 300 calories; too much chocolate. I have been doing really well though and lots of activity this week, so I don't think it is a big deal. Happy Wednesday everyone.8

Checking in. Focusing on eating berries with a heaping spoonful of plain zero fat Skyr type yogurt for my evening "dessert". The berries are very expensive right now but I figured I'm worth it.
Setback yesterday: I'm doing the step challenge this week and I deviated from my normal schedule since I ran out to an early appointment, stopped at the store, got home, took a quick shower and rushed to a meeting since I was on the brink of being late. Busy day at work, then at 5pm, I looked down at my wrist to see how many steps I did and noticed I FORGOT TO PUT MY SPORTSWATCH BACK ON after my shower !!!!
Now going out for my Wed am run/walk. Aim is 1 hour minimum, then for early lunch break I have a gym weightlifting class. Watch is on.5 -
