@pupowl Thanks!
@angmarie28 That's a great workout! I have not been exercising. At all:( I have such a hard time getting myself on that treadmill. I have to find a great show to watch on Netflix that will keep my attention. I have got to get walking.

I've struggled to get on the treadmill as well, partially because my belt keeps slipping and its a pain to fix. i don't know why it keeps happening. i think i just need a new one, but they are so expensive, ugh. Ill just have to keep an eye out for people selling them. I got the one I have for $300. its a NordicTrack and had 3 miles on it when I got it. One of those people that bought it and never used it.1 -

It was me who mentioned the 100 day weigh in challenge. You can already check out and hop in the current one. I personally prefer joining from the start. This challenge seems to have been around for a while, so the new one should start Oct 27. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10919928/100-day-challenge-july-19-october-26-24/p10 -
@Pupowl I was wondering why you were starting then, I didn't realize it was an actual challenge. I was like - who starts a new thing on the 27th of the month?? 🤔 That would drive my husband's OCD crazy. 😂
@frankwbrown great job on your challenges! I have got to get me a Garmin!!
@jessicakrall8 sticking my steps in the middle of a post so thought I'd tag you. 🙂

Off to do the HP Firebolt 5k this morning. Helene seems to have passed so it should be dry. Have a great Saturday everyone!4 -
Hello Shape Shifters. I had a lazy Thursday because the weather was bad again. Bad for walking, but great for me. Loving the colder temperatures! I did the dishes and I pulled everything out of the kitchen cabinets again to reorganise. It was bothering me, even though I had done this not long ago. I think it is good now.
Yesterday we had a bit of a storm. It wasn't raining much, but for sure not safe to go for a walk here. I went through all my tea and discovered some that expired in 2022. I am not really bothered when tea is over a bit, but 2+ years was a bit much so I had to throw some out. I also got rid of a couple I simply didn't enjoy so I have a bunch of empty tins now.
I cleared my wooden desk that is currently in storage and put on the first layer of linseed oil. I would like to use it as my computer desk again since it has enough space for two monitors. But I want to treat it with the oil first to make the surface less rough and more durable. I should have started doing it sooner though. My dad is visiting tomorrow and he could have probably helped, but I need to apply 3 layers 16-24 hours apart so it won't be dry tomorrow.
I did my gym rings workout and right after a 40 minute cardio walk from Improved Health (click). It was a pretty fun one and time went by fast. After a shower, I played the new horse game I recently discovered and I recorded around 50 minutes of game play. My video card has a very easy to use tool to do this which is great. I made a little intro video for a new youtube channel earlier in the day. The microphone of my headset sounded bad though, some static buzz in the background. Thankfully I also had a USB microphone laying around I had never used and the sound from that one was much cleaner. So I had to redo the little intro, but that wasn't a lot of work. I have no idea if anyone will watch a new player play the game, but I am really enjoying myself and I wanted to start recording before I got too far into the game.
This morning I started to upload the video to youtube. I figured it would take a while, but it is even slower than I thought. It is currently 58% done after around 4 hours. I think I will have to run the uploads at night after going to bed. I would like to just live stream the game in the future so then it won't be an issue anymore. Anyway, this probably is very uninteresting to most of you, lol, sorry about that. Happy Saturday everyone5 -

Thank you! I scan real fast but interesting things stick in my memory. I'm like you and like to start at the beginning as well! I think the daily reflection and seeing everyone else's will be motivating. Plus it goes through the holiday season which is deadly. See you there if you also join!2 -
Saturday Weigh-In:
PW: 149.1
CW:147.6
weekly loss: 1.5 lbs HOORAY
BMI is 29.0
I did the Step challenge for 2 weeks and also added 3 additional gym classes to my 2x week routine. The more I move, the better my appetite control I find. Also, I stopped eating the same stuff as my husband. Several nights we just decided to "fend" and that worked out. He had his steak and potato with cheese and I had a vegetarian type of meal, chickpea pasta or black beans and brown rice with pico de gallo.5 -

@globalhiker Speaking of "black beans and brown rice"...I stopped at a Popeye's restaurant on the way home from work to get a large container of their mashed potatoes with cajun gravy to go with leftovers I had at home...wanted a little something else, so I ordered a small container of cole slaw...they mixed up my side choice and gave me a red beans and rice small order instead. Had never tried it...to be honest, was afraid it might be too spicy for me...since they specialize in cajun spicy food...it was awesome...warm and the combination of a little rice on top of the red beans...it was SO good...I will definitely order again sometime...anyway...your comment just reminded me...your meal sounds yummy!
Congrats on your loss this week! WTG!

Today will be lower as we'll be driving back to Maryland later. Have to keep an eye on the car snacks. 😯
@Pupowl your posts are never boring. I love getting a glimpse into other people's daily lives. Especially those in other countries. I frequently want to ask you questions but think I'll do it later from my PC which is easier than this stupid phone, and then I forget. 🙃 64 years old and suffer from the classic - I can tell you the lyrics of any Beatles song but not what I had for breakfast. 😕 Made worse by the fact that I eat the same thing EVERY DAY!! 😂
Have a great day everyone!!6 -
