If you pick the right small behavior and sequence it right, then you won't have to motivate yourself to have it grow. It will just happen naturally, like a good seed planted in a good spot.

Good morning Shape Shifters. Yesterday morning I got dressed in my walking clothes. Of course this time they predicted loads of rain, lol, so I got changed again. I did a workout at home -> Click <- which felt a bit challenging, but I did the whole thing. I did two loads of laundry and in the afternoon I biked to the store in between the rain to get double sided tape. When I got home I started putting up all the pictures I got printed. It took quite a while since I had to cut 4 pieces of tape for each picture, then figure out where it would go, trying to make it look somewhat even and balanced. I was a bit worried that 60 pictures would be too much, but it filled up the space pretty well! It isn't perfect, but I am pretty pleased with the end result. It looks colorful and happy. I did my gym rings workout before cooking dinner. Overall the day was pretty slow since it rained most of the time so I barely went out with Tinus. I was feeling down and tired so I went to bed early. Happy Thursday everyone.6

I did much better yesterday getting steps during lunch and the breack between meetings. Thanks goodness that's over! LOL I also took my bike to work with me and did a 10 mile bike ride after wook. It felt great to get the blood pumping after sitting for most of the previous 9 hours.
D33/75 had another good day.7 -
@DaffyGirl88 - That’s impressive planning to change a sedentary day into one with movement! Good for you! I’m glad you enjoyed your bike ride.
@Pupowl - It must feel so uplifting to surround yourself with all your favorite photos, and it’s even more satisfying that you took the photos yourself. What a great idea to hang your artwork where you can see it every morning — a greeting to start the day! I know you like to sing, and I’m picturing you surrounded by the photos of so many birds and other woodland life, so @DaffyGirl88’s Snow White image is making me smile this morning! 😊
Great momentum @Pupowl — I see that perfect habit tracker chart! 🤩
Nice work on the exercise workouts and quick correction on your nutrition @globalhiker! Your hikes sound beautiful and challenging. I definitely want to hear more about your experiences and hope you can share some photos!
So many steps, encouraging progress, and positive results. Go Shape Shifters!2 -
Here’s my weekly weigh-in report —
Name: PatriceFitnessPal
Weigh-in Day: Thursday
PW: 145.1
CW: 145.8
SW: 168
LtD: 22.2
I’ve been on a downward trajectory, getting into a good exercise rhythm and improving my overall diet, so I’m not disappointed with this gain.Yesterday’s weigh-in was 145 and I think I’ll make it under 145 by the end of the month. I like to set short-term goals in five pound increments so it will feel good to meet that milestone soon. My target range for maintenance is 125-130, but my mid-range goal is to reach a ‘normal’ BMI for my height (not quite 5’4”), which is about 140 pounds for me.
Best wishes for the coming weekend, Shape Shifters!5 -
@PatriceFitnessPal Thank you for the nice comment! It really is cool to see all the pictures and remember the moments. It makes me happy every time I go up/down the stairs. There is still room to add more pictures in the future too if I want. I will do my best to keep the perfect days going! I feel like it is getting easier every day which is really great. I am still not stepping on the scale though. After 3 months of overeating, I want a bunch more good days before I check. I will probably look at the end of the month and then depending on the number, come back to the regular team in October (if it's not as bad as I expect) or November (if it is).4

Nah... I haven't really been tracking much (except food & drink). Don't remember the last time I did an intentional walk... been in a funk. I'm going to drop out the Soft 75 challenge for now... maybe start again in January after the holidays and things should be settled down by then.
You are doing terrific though! I will just sit back for now.2 -

@globalhiker if you would still like a partner for the step challenge I would like to join. When and where is your hiking trip?
Sounds good. I'll be on the lookout for the start date. We're doing a road trip to Utah again. 3rd time. Getting in some hikes we missed before at Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, and some outside of Henrieville. May rent a Jeep to get to some slot canyons that look pretty amazing.
That sounds like an adventure!
It looks like we are supposed to have a team name?

Good morning Shape Shifters. After sleeping for over 9 hours yesterday without any traumatizing dreams which I very much appreciated, I was ready to go for a nice walk. The temperature has dropped a lot here and I am so happy to sleep under an actual blanket again. Unfortunately, there was a lot of rain on the way, so I couldn't walk for very long. I still got a little over an hour in though which was good enough. Right after my walk I biked to the grocery store to get toilet paper, the right bread & potatoes and some more of the vegan spread. I made it home with plenty of time before the rain started.
In the afternoon I biked into town again to look for some warm house socks. The wooden floor is getting really cold on my feet now, and though I buy slippers of some kind every year, they never last long so I didn't have a pair anymore. They had quite a lot which was nice and they were all pretty cheap so I don't mind as much if they only last one winter. I picked a purple pair since that is my favourite color. When I was almost home I realised I never checked the size and I felt really dumb. When I looked in my bag, I saw they were one size, so it was all good! I probably did see that, but didn't fully register it. Either way, they are very comfy and warm.
I was really bored so I got some small chores done. Cleaned the litterbox and water fountain for Tinus, did the dishes and I vacuumed and mopped the kitchen. It was pretty dirty there. The rest of the house is fine, so I will save that for next week since my mom is visiting again on Thursday.
I am having a lot of trouble lately with filling in my day. I am just not really in the mood for much so I don't know what to do with myself. Maybe it is time to pick up Postcrossing again. Happy Friday everyone.7 -

@Pupowl Great job on the pictures! And they're level! I could never do that. LOL I'm a big fan of keeping things around just because it makes you smile to see them.6 -
@DaffyGirl88 Thanks! I just eye balled it. If you look closely, you can see it is not even everywhere, but I think it looks good enough. Nice loss again!3

I've been taking advantage of the nice weather this week and getting out for either a jog or a bike ride on my lunch hour. Evenings have been busy with my kids' activities and my bedtime has been nudging later again.
I'm catching up on posts and love reading about all the adventures, home projects and great progress! thanks for sharing5 -
Cut my run short yesterday since a wildfire smoke was irritating my throat and got my coughing going, so I continued exercise in my living room in front of the TV with Youtube on and I watch any travel video, makes the time fly and I learn a lot too . I basically set up a step bench and kicked away, then did my heavy barbell exercises. I also have an exercise bike and a walking pad in my living room for bad weather days.
I really wanted dessert last night so I had a cup of plain skyr yogurt 0 fat, mixed in a heaping spoonful of hershey's 100% cocoa (no sugar, 15 cal.), liberally added organic raspberries (colorful food=vitamins). It hit the spot.
My big problem is sodium. LOVE salt. It's bad since I puff up a lot, especially in hot weather too. I have soup almost every lunch. I easily consume 2,500 mg a day and maybe double on days I have sushi or takeout and that is with using low sodium soy sauce. Now I have to really cut the sodium for weigh in tomorrow, eat potassium foods and drink a lot of water. Doing it for the team!3 -

I'm not sure why the uptick, other than maybe normal fluctuations. I feel like I've been doing all of the right things. I might be a little sloppy with tracking at times, so I'm going to work on being more precise. I'll also push myself a little harder when I exercise. Hopefully I will do better next week.5 -
