    Hm

I meant this to be in the Discussions section. I'm not sure how it ended up in the Announcements section, or how I can move it to the correct section? 🤔

Okey doke, I made a 'test' thread in the Discussions section - it appears that if you check off the "Announcements" box, the thread ends up here, in Announcements. I can't seem to see a way to delete a thread, so I suppose I'll just let it ride for October, see how it goes :). I was able to move the 'test' thread to Discussions, by 'Dismissing' the thread, but I'm certain, what effect, if any, these things have for how the threads appear to others, so .... 🤷‍♀️ lol

I think if you go back to this original post and edit it and unchecked the announcement that might work.

This was the first smoothie with a protein powder in it. We ate our Oui Yogurt pots for today for afternoon snack, so we needed something else to use for dinner ;-).

We shared a Club Supreme from Jersey Mike's, along with the Smoothie, for dinner. I wonder if I'll ever have a smoothie for breakfast, instead of dinner? 🤔 🤣

    Cheers!

    Good morning everyone 🌴🌴🛺
    @SafariGalNYC
    Thanks for thinking of me
That pomegranate really makes a nice shake.
Don’t forget the Cacao nibs 😁💪🌴🌴

    @mkksemail
    The Avocado toast sounds great.
    I haven’t been eating bread
But I believe and hear there are some healthy brands out there
    Some with lots of fiber.
Going shopping tomorrow for some and greens I can freeze.

@dannytrees1 - mmmmm it IS so good! I didn't even know I liked avocado, and I really love this avocado toast, lol. I hope you give it a try (I just fry the tomatoes and the eggs in the same pan - tomatoes in first so they really cook well).

But - greens you can freeze! That's genius! Have you done that before? Does it work fine?

    Cheers!

    Thursday Greens !

It's going to be Avocado (probably toast) for the next several days. I bought 6 of them several days ago, and they're all turning ripe at the same time. Avocados do seem to have a very tight "perfectly ripe eat them now!" window 😜). Hope we can eat them before they turn bad! lol

We also had roasted Brussel sprouts, and Maryland style crab cakes for dinner, along with a black asian plum, and a Oui yogurt pot.

My favorite way to eat veggies are cooked - a lot, lol! Broiled, Grilled, Roasted, and Charred, give me that any day 🤣. Hubby said the Brussel sprouts were really good, they tasted like french fries! 🤣 (I sauteed them in a pan first, to coat with olive oil, then sprinkled with garlic salt. After they browned on one side, I put a small baking sheet over the pan, flipped the sprouts so the uncooked side ended up face down, sprinkled with more olive oil, and more garlic salt, then baked them at 450F for about 15 minutes, followed by 16 mins more baking at 400F, while the crab cakes cooked. They were crunchy! 🤣)

    Cheers,
    mk :)

Made a vegetable quiche —had a bunch of leftover greens and veggies to use…

Softened the greens first and mixed them in..

    That quiche looks amazing!

Salad for lunch, not very exciting as I didn't have many veg in the house for it
    xakdgl3cjjk2.jpg
For tea: Chicken served with beetroot, green beans and saute potatoes
    b7lr6coy5q5u.jpg
And a baked apple with custard for dessert (I went for a run today so I earned those extra calories 😄)

My get up and go special 🌴

    Strawberries
    Celery
    Cilantro
    Kale
    Banana
    Yougart
    Boathouse juice
    Mix
And a pinch on Cacao nibs on top.
    7k7ruyo3c15y.jpeg

MKK I do freeze a lot of greens
    Same as bananas
As you know the shelf life is weak on them.
Plus they end up going in the blender anyway.

    Have a great day everyone

@dannytrees1 - thank you for the Morning greens shake inspiration!

I infused my French press coffee with cacao nibs this morning. If you like a lil rich chocolate flavor it’s great. (Also antioxidants!)

Inquiring minds want to know .. what’s boathouse juice? 😏

I was away for the weekend for a concert of my favorite band (Cowboy Junkies) and I know this is a rhetorically question but why is it that when your relaxed/on vacation/no work stress it’s so much easier to get your fruits/veggies eaten vs fast food. I know I just answered my own question…stress. It’s like the chicken/egg idea-more fruit/veg less or less stress more time for fruit/veg.

Anyway, Friday I gad this delicious salad for dinner (though I admit it could have used less bacon)

    2tyeccst1wg4.jpeg

    For breakfast I had this:
    vo6wwg7q49vr.jpeg

Some brocollini in it with potatoes, peppers, onion. Morning so definitely a virgin bloody mary but I’ll drink my veg.

Went to a book store after local farmers market (since traveling bought hardy veg: onions, peppers, radish, apples) and had a snack of milk steamer with cinnamon & pastry probably not healthy but at least it had some fresh blueberries & strawberries.

Sunday Avocado Toast! 2 more avocados to go, we seem to be getting them before they've gone too ripe, yay! One was a bit dicey, but the others have been fine, avocados go ripe so fast! Probably shouldn't buy 6 at a time. Hubby made today's toasts, tomatoes aren't charred, only warmed ;-).

    Happy (rainy) Monday! 🙋‍♀️

I forgot to take a picture, but I had a slice of Dave's with a tbsp of Mrs Bridge's Four Fruit Marmalade Orange Lemon Grapefruit Lime with my Protein Tea today:

    0s6sug2kx1om.png

Dinner will be the same as last night (already made the other servings, last night), except with an add'l half of a baked sweet potato today, too. No greens today, but I did get several freggie servings in :). Yellow bell pepper, 1; carrot, 1/2; tomato, 1; red beans, 1/2; sweet potato, 1; not a banner day, but not a barren day, either ;-).

That's kinda light on calories for the day, so maybe I'll have a piece of fruit with a Oui yogurt pot for snack, after dinner ...

    Cheers!
